Twenty minutes later, while Philip was sweeping the tables inside the eatery just right outside their house, a sultry deep voice echoed from inside the apartment.
"Please be mine... As the day and night dances, my prayers are for you to be mine..."
Philip's eyes widened. Every hair on his neck stood like soldiers. He turned his head. What he saw was a pretty boy sliding his feet inside his black shoes on their porch.
It was Aeiou. He was wearing a maroon trouser, and plain white uniform with maroon accent on the edges of the sleeves that matched Aeiou's skin which was comparable to the fairest shade of gold, and dark hair.
I don't think it's like father like son... he thought.
Since Aeiou was young, he always thought that his son will get after his keen features, having slanted eyes and white skin. But as Aeiou went through puberty, the thick eyebrows, the tan skin, and the captivating brown eyes with archly curved eyelashes speak the nationality of his mother, an Arabian beauty.
"I'm going now," Aeiou said as he tapped his father's shoulder in a friendly fashion and walked away.
Philip smiled. "Good luck on your first day of school!"
Aeiou waved his hand, turned around, and disappeared on an alley.
What a handsome kid... and what an eyesore. I bet he's going to take home another girl within a week.
