Kristofer helped Lauren stand up on her one good foot and then said—
—"Hop on my back. I'll carry you."
Lauren hopped on Kris' back and he carried her piggyback toward the beach.
As they walked, they heard Maja calling—
—"Kristofer! Lauren!"
Kris realized it was Maja calling them and called back—
—"Maja! Over here!"
Then they saw Maja running toward them through the bushes.
Maja ran up to them and hugged Kris and Lauren.
Maja saw Lauren's gunshot wound in her foot and said—
—"Are you okay?!"
"I'm ok, thanks to Kris." said Lauren.
Then Maja yelled back toward the beach—
—"We need another stretcher over here!"
Then they walked back to the beach where they saw a bunch of fallen Androids and Irina's troops putting wounded men on stretchers.
They saw Victor and a couple other men carrying over a stretcher.
They set the stretcher down for Lauren.
Kris set Lauren down on the stretcher and then they all helped carry her toward the ship that was docked on the beach next to the lighthouse.
As they carried Lauren over, they saw some men putting a blanket over Mason's dead body and then they began to put him into a bodybag.
They carried Lauren up a drawbridge ramp inside the ship where there were a bunch of army cots with wounded men and medics/nurses giving them medical treatment.
They laid Lauren down on a cot then Kris saw Nina coming down the stairs from inside the ship.
Kris ran over to her as she ran over to him and they hugged each other.
Nina then saw Lauren on one of the cots and went over to her.
"Lauren!" said Nina surprised and happy to see that Lauren was ok.
"Hi." said Lauren and Nina hugged her.
MEANWHILE, AMAIA had quickly gotten Rob back to the Leader's bunker and gave him some medical supplies that she found in the bunker.
Then she grabbed some medical supplies and drove off in a golf cart that she found in a storage space beside the bunker.
She drove down the hallways as fast as she could, heading toward the control room to find Natalia.
MEANWHILE, ANA, ENNIO AND IRINA got into the boat that they left beside one of the cargo ships and went out through the cargo ships entrance to meet up with Irina's ship that was docked on the on the West docks.
They arrived at Irina's ship and climbed up the ladder onto the deck where Irina's ship Captain and crew greeted them.
MEANWHILE, AMAIA drove the golf cart down the hallways toward the control room and then she saw Natalia limping down the hallway toward her.
Amaia stopped the cart in front of Natalia, got off the cart and ran to her.
Amaia hugged Natalia with tears in her eyes and started sobbing.
Natalia hugged her little sister back and started to cry saying—
—"Don't cry. You're gonna make me cry."
And they just hugged each other in the empty hallway.
MEANWHILE, IRINA asked 12 of her crewmen to give them an armed escort through the city to look for Alex, Judith, Yumi and Leo.
Irina told the rest of the crew to wait there for them all to arrive after they've found their friends.
Then Ana, Ennio and Irina set out with their armed escort walking through the city to look for their friends.
MEANWHILE, after Amaia and Natalia returned to the Leader's bunker and Natalia's wounds were bandaged up, Amaia took a long relaxing bath.
Then the 3 of them enjoyed a nice well cooked meal using the food that they found in the refrigerator.
After their meal, they packed a backpack full of food, water bottles, and medical supplies.
Then they got on the golf cart and started driving away looking for a way out and searching for Eli and May.
MEANWHILE, as Ana, Ennio and Irina walked through the city with their armed escort, they saw smoke rising from a factory.
They went toward the factory in the hopes of finding Alex and Judith or Yumi and Leo.
MEANWHILE, after Rob, Amaia and Natalia had found a ramp that led up and out of the underground, Rob drove the cart up the ramp and up to the surface and they headed off toward the warehouse where the laboratory was, to look for Eli and May.
After driving for an hour or so, they arrived back at the warehouse.
As they drove up to the warehouse, they saw Eli and May sitting on the floor beside it.
Rob drove the golf cart toward them shouting—
—"Eli! May! It's us!"
Eli and May stood up surprised and saw that it was Rob behind the wheel of the golf cart.
Rob stopped the golf cart and got out.
Eli looked at May surprised and looked back at Rob shouting—
—"Rob!"
Eli and May ran up to Rob and hugged him.
Rob hugged them and said—
—"We did it! It's over! Come on, get on!"
They all got into the golf cart.
Rob and Amaia sat in the two front seats.
Natalia, Eli and May sat in the three backseats.
Then Rob started driving them all back toward the beach and then they would follow the beach heading back toward the lighthouse.
MEANWHILE, as Ana, Ennio and Irina walked onto the ship that the factory was on, they didn't see any people around.
It was not until they got closer to the factory that they saw two people walking out of it.
As they got closer, Ana realized that the two people were Yumi and Leo.
Ana recognized Yumi and started running toward her yelling—
—"YUMI!"
Yumi and Leo saw someone running toward them and then they suddenly realized it was Ana.
Then they started running to meet her yelling—
—"ANA!"
Ana and Yumi ran into each other's arms and hugged each other with tears in their eyes.
Ana hugged Leo.
Leo saw Ennio and hugged him.
Then Ana grabbed Ennio's hand and said to Yumi and Leo—
—"Hey, guess what? We're getting married!"
Yumi and Leo looked surprised at Ana.
Then they looked at each other and laughed.
"What?" asked Ana.
"So are we!" said Yumi and Leo together.
Ana was surprised and overjoyed.
Then they all started laughing.
MEANWHILE, by the time Rob, Amaia, Natalia, Eli and May arrived back at the lighthouse, it was around midnight.
When they drove up to the lighthouse, they saw one of Irina's ships docked on the beach next to the lighthouse.
As they got closer, they saw some of Irina's men flashing lights at them.
Then they pointed their guns at them telling them to put their hands up.
Rob stopped the golf cart and then he and everyone put their hands up, except for Amaia.
Amaia got off the cart and walked up to the men pointing their guns at them.
Then Amaia spoke to them in Russian saying—
—"Opusti oruzhiye. Irina Tchaikovsky nas znayet." (Put down your guns. Irina Tchaikovsky knows us.)
Amaia said in English—
—"Not to mention we just saved your lives."
The Men lowered their guns.
Amaia said—
—"Go tell Irina that we're here."
One Man said—
—"Queen Irina's not here. She's on another ship."
Amaia said—
—"Then go tell whoever's in charge that we're here."
Then one of the Men ran into the ship to inform everyone that they had arrived.
Amaia looked back at Rob, Natalia, Eli and May and waved at them to come over.
"Let's go."
Then they all started walking toward the ship.
MEANWHILE, Ana, Ennio, Yumi, Leo and Irina with her armed escort walked through the city looking for Alex and Judith.
They arrived at a marketplace and Ana grabbed the Wanted Posters of Alex and Judith and said out loud to everyone in the marketplace—
—"Excuse me! Has anyone seen these two!?"
Everyone in the marketplace ignored Ana's question, except for one Man who went up to her and said—
—"I saw em."
"Where?"
"Saw the Police taking em to the hospital half an hour ago. They looked dead. They were very, very bloody."
Ana and Yumi were shocked and scared.
Then they all started running toward the hospital.
MEANWHILE, Rob, Amaia, Natalia, Eli and May walked up the drawbridge ramp into the ship.
Then as they looked around, Rob saw Maja and Nina quickly coming down the stairs to where they were.
Rob saw Nina's shocked expression, Nina covered her mouth with her hand and started crying.
Nina almost fell down, but Maja was standing right next to her and caught her before she fell.
Rob quickly limped over to Nina, who ran to him and hugged him as hard as she possibly could.
Nina hugged Rob so hard that she squeezed Rob's wound on his left arm and Rob winced.
"Hi." said Rob holding her as she cried.
Rob looked at Nina's face and wiped the tears from her eyes saying—
—"I missed you so much."
Rob kissed her and hugged her.
Nina hit Rob in the chest for making her worry so much about him.
Then Maja hugged Rob.
Then Maja and Nina hugged Eli and May.
Rob said—
—"You should thank Amaia and Natalia. If it weren't for them, we'd all be dead."
Maja and Nina went and hugged Amaia and Natalia, who reluctantly hugged them back.
Then they all saw Kristofer quickly coming down the stairs and they went to greet him.
Eli and May saw Kris and hugged him.
Eli quickly said—
—"Hey, where's Lauren? Is she ok?"
Kris said—
—"Yeah, she's ok. She's in her room. Follow me, I'll show you."
Then Kris started taking them up the stairs to Lauren's room.
Kris knocked on Lauren's door and opened it saying—
—"Hey, I brought you a present."
Lauren saw Eli and May come into the room and was so surprised that she started crying.
Eli and May went and hugged her.
Kris smiled as Lauren hugged Eli and May.
MEANWHILE, when Ana, Ennio, Yumi, Leo and Irina arrived at the hospital, there were about 5 Policemen standing by the doors of the hospital building.
As they approached the building, the Policemen saw them coming and pointed their guns at them.
Irina's men pointed their rifles back at them and told them to 'Drop their weapons.'
The Policemen quickly realized they were clearly outnumbered and dropped their guns on the ground.
Irina then told her troops in Russian to 'Keep an eye on them.'
Then Ana, Yumi, Ennio, Leo, Irina and two of her Men went inside the hospital.
Ana went up to one of the Doctors there and said—
—"Where are the two people that the Police brought in?"
"They're in the surgery room down the hall." said the Doctor behind the counter pointing down the hallway.
They ran down the hall and looked through the window of the surgery room.
Then Ana saw Alex and Judith being operated on by the Doctors.
Ana started crying looking at the very bloody state that Alex and Judith were in and Ennio and Yumi hugged and comforted her as she cried on their shoulders.
MEANWHILE, back inside Irina's ship on the island, Nina took Rob to her room where their babies were sleeping.
Rob kissed their foreheads and touched their hair.
Then he hugged Nina and asked her—
—"Is Lauren here?"
"Yeah. She's over here, follow me." said Nina and they walked quietly out of the room and went to Lauren's room.
Nina opened the door and they went inside where Lauren, Kris, Eli, May, Maja and Victor were.
Rob went over to Lauren and said—
—"Hey, how're you doin'?"
"Good." said Lauren and smiled.
Rob hugged Lauren and said—
—"It's so good to see ya."
"You too." said Lauren.
MEANWHILE, Amaia and Natalia looked around the ship and then Amaia asked one of the crewmen—
—"Where's Captain Mason?"
"He died. His body is downstairs in the mortuary."
Amaia was surprised by the news, then she and Natalia went downstairs to go see.
MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE HOSPITAL, after waiting 2 and a half hours, the Doctor performing the surgery on Alex and Judith walked out of the room.
Ana went up to him and said—
—"How are they? Are they gonna be ok?"
The Doctor looked at her and everyone else in the room and said—
—"Who are you guys?"
Ana, losing all patience, said—
—"My brother and his wife are the ones you just operated on. Are they gonna be ok?!"
"Calm down, they're gonna be fine. They're stable now. They just need some rest. But they won't be awake until tomorrow."
"Thank you." said Ana relieved.
"You should thank the men who brought them here in time. If they hadn't brought them in as soon as they did, they would be dead right now."
"Is that true?" asked Ana.
"That's a fact. Now if you'll excuse me." said the Doctor and went to attend to other patients.
Ana then walked out of the hospital and went up to the Policemen who were being handcuffed by Irina's troops.
The Policemen looked at Ana and Ana asked them—
—"You guys brought my brother and his wife here?"
The Policemen looked at Ana confused and one Policeman said—
—"Yes, we did."
"Thank you." said Ana.
Then she walked back inside the hospital.
MEANWHILE, Amaia and Natalia went downstairs to the mortuary and they saw Mason's wife and daughters mourning out in the hallway.
Amaia and Natalia went inside the room and saw Mason's body laid out on the table.
Amaia looked at Mason and silently paid her respects.
Then she and Natalia walked out of the room.
Amaia went over to Mason's family and told them that she was sorry for their loss.
Then she and Natalia went back up the stairs.
MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE HOSPITAL, Alex laid in a bed beside Judith with an IV blood bag drip going into his vein.
Alex had an oxygen mask on that was helping him breathe because his lung had been slightly punctured.
Judith was lying in a hospital bed beside him with an IV blood bag going into her vein.
Ana, Yumi and Leo sat in chairs by their bedside while Ennio and Irina sat in other chairs in the room.
The only sound in the room was the slow BEEP of the heart rate monitor and Alex's breathing with the oxygen mask.
Ana, Yumi, Leo, Ennio and Irina stayed with Alex and Judith through the whole night.
THE NEXT MORNING, Alex and Judith woke up and saw their friends sitting in the room.
Alex saw Ana sitting beside him.
He saw Ana's relief and elation, along with everyone else looking happy to see him.
Judith looked around seeing everyone in the room with them.
Alex looked over and saw Judith lying in the bed beside him and she looked at him with tears forming in her eyes.
Alex reached his right hand over to Judith and held her left hand.
Alex smiled at Judith.
Then Alex looked at Ana and said—
—"Did we win?"
"Yeah, we won." said Ana with tears in her eyes.
Ana hugged Alex.
Then Yumi and everyone else hugged him and Judith.
After the Doctor came in to check on them, Alex took off the oxygen mask and was able to breathe normally.
They all ate breakfast and then Ana began to tell Alex and Judith what had been going on since everything happened.
Ana told them that yesterday Irina had her troops take the Policemen to the nukes to show and prove to them that the Leader planned to blow up the whole world, and save himself in his bunker, for the purpose of creating a new world, where he would be an immortal cyborg with an army of Androids.
And create a new human race because he and the Scientist wanted to be Gods.
Ana told them that some Policemen immediately believed it when they saw the nukes, but the others wanted to see the island bunker for themselves.
Ana told them they wouldn't leave until Alex and Judith got better.
Then Ana went on to explain that Irina had ordered another one of her ships to go free all of the kids on the fishing ships at the docks.
After Alex and Judith got better and were cleared to leave the hospital by the Doctor, they all left the hospital and went toward Irina's ship on the West docks.
When they arrived and got on the ship, Irina's ship Captain greeted them and said to Irina—
—"Welcome back, my Lady."
Irina's Captain then gestured over to a Woman standing behind him and said—
—"This Woman came to us wanting to speak to you."
Irina and everyone else looked at the Woman walking toward them who said—
—"Hello everyone, it's nice to meet you. My name's Clare Wright, I am Rob's Mother."
Alex, Ana and everyone else looked very surprised and went over to her.
They greeted her and told her it was nice to meet her and that they had heard a lot about her from Rob.
Then they set sail and went back toward the island.
They arrived at the island and docked right beside the other ship.
They put down a bridge connecting the ship decks to walk across.
They walked across the bridge to the other ship where all their friends and family were waiting to greet them.
They went and hugged them.
The Twins, Yumi, Leo, Ennio and Judith reunited and hugged their friends Rob, Maja, Nina, Eli, May, Lauren and Kris.
Ennio and Victor reunited and hugged.
Ana hugged Maja.
Alex hugged Eli and Rob.
Yumi hugged Nina.
Ana, Alex and Yumi hugged May and Eli.
Then Alex and Ana saw Lauren with crutches and a cast on her left foot and they went over to her and hugged her.
Amaia stood in the back and when she saw Irina, she gave her a 'Glad you're not dead' nod of acknowledgment and Irina returned the nod.
Then Amaia walked down the stairs back inside the ship.
Yumi saw her family and went over and hugged her Dad, Step Mom and little brother.
Then Rob saw his Mother and was stunned.
Rob went over and hugged his Mom with tears in his eyes.
Nina saw Rob hug his Mother and she smiled with tears in her eyes.
Lauren saw Rob hugging Clare and she went over with her crutches and hugged her.
Judith saw her sisters and Mother standing by the stairs on the deck and went over to them.
Judith went over to her sisters and Mother and saw that they were already crying before she even got to them.
Judith hugged her sister Christy first then she hugged the rest of her sisters and Mother.
Judith saw that Christy was trying to tell her something as she was crying, but she couldn't quite say it.
Judith could see from the way she was crying that something was wrong.
"What is it?" asked Judith concerned.
"Dad died." said Christy crying.
Judith was shocked by the news, it hit her right in her heart.
She saw by her sisters expressions that it was true and she started crying and hugged her sister Christy.
Alex looked over at Judith crying with her sisters and noticed that something was wrong and he went over to her.
Judith went over to Alex and cried softly and said—
—"My Dad died."
Alex immediately hugged and comforted her and said—
—"I'm so sorry, babe."
Alex held her as she cried and Ana and everyone else looked sad for Judith and her family.
A LITTLE WHILE LATER, everyone went into the cafeteria and ate lunch.
Ana saw Amaia walking into the cafeteria and she got up from the table.
Ana went up to Amaia and said—
—"Hey."
"Hey." said Amaia.
"Heard you and Rob saved the world. Thank you." said Ana.
"Your welcome."
Then Amaia held out her hand for a handshake and said—
—"I'm glad you're not dead."
Ana curled her lip smirking and shook Amaia's hand and said—
—"Me too."
Then Ana hugged Amaia.
Amaia pushed her away and said—
—"Don't do that again."
Ana smirked at her and said—
—"Fine. You wanna sit with us and tell us how you saved the world?"
"Sure." said Amaia.
Then Ana and Amaia went and sat down at the table together with everyone.
Everyone sat in the cafeteria and ate lunch, except for Judith, who sat beside Alex and didn't want to eat anything.
Alex convinced her to eat a little bit then he told her that when she was ready, they would go to see Mason's body.
Judith adamantly protested that she didn't want to and WAS NOT going to see him like that.
She was afraid to see him.
But Alex told her it was necessary for her to do so to have closure and mourn properly like the way he and Ana did with their parents.
Judith realized Alex had a good point and begrudgingly agreed with him.
SO AFTER LUNCH, Alex and Judith went to see Mason's body.
Judith saw Mason's body and cried while Alex held and consoled her.
THAT NIGHT, Eli went out to the deck of the ship looking for Irina.
He saw her wearing a nice dress and talking with her ship Captain.
After the Captain walked away, Eli went over to Irina.
Irina saw Eli walking over to her and she did not know it was him at first because Eli was wearing very nice clothes.
Eli wore a nice suit jacket and had his hair cut.
Eli bowed to Irina to try to make her laugh and said—
—"Good evening, miss Queen Irina."
Irina did not laugh at his gesture, but she was slightly intrigued by his appearance.
She thought that he looked very dashing and she asked—
—"Where did you get the nice clothes?"
"Oh, Rob found them in the Leader's bunker. You like them?"
"Hmm. They're not bad."
"Yeah, I thought you'd say that. It'll take a lot more than nice clothes to impress you."
"Good to see a change of clothes didn't change you too much."
"I guess we have that in common, along with a lot of other things."
There was a moment of silence and then Eli said—
—"You look beautiful."
"Thank you."
"Would you like to dance?"
Irina looked at Eli curiously.
Then Eli said—
—"With me.?"
Eli said as if he needed to clarify.
Then he said—
—"Maybe a waltz?"
Irina looked surprised and intrigued and said—
—"You know how to waltz?"
"Nope. But I asked Amaia and she told me that you do."
Then Eli held his hand out for Irina and said—
—"I thought you could teach me."
"Ok." said Irina taking Eli's hand.
Irina showed Eli were to put his hands and she showed him how to dance a few steps.
Then Irina played her music box necklace as they waltzed.
Eli looked into Irina's eyes as they danced and said—
—"This ok?"
"Yes." said Irina impressed by his dancing.
They began to slow dance together with the music and they looked into each others eyes.
They stopped dancing.
Then they heard the sound of an approaching ship.
They turned and saw Irina's third ship returning to the island.
The ship docked beside the ship that they were on and set down a bridge to walk onto the deck.
Then a Crewman walked over the bridge onto the deck and went over to Irina and Eli and said to Irina in Russian—
—"Moya ledi. U nas yest' novosti." (My lady. We have some news.)
Irina wanted Eli to understand what they were saying and said—
—"Govorite po angliyski pozhaluysta." (Speak in English please.)
"There's a Man that we picked up adrift at sea a few days ago. He recently recovered and said that you know who he is." said the Crewman in English.
Irina looked at the Crewman intently and nodded 'go on.'
The Crewman said—
—"He said to tell you his name is Detective Waters."
Eli looked shocked.
Irina raised her eyebrow skeptically.
After they heard the news, Eli and Irina went downstairs to Lauren's room in the ship.
Eli knocked on the door and opened it calling 'Lauren?'
Then they saw Lauren limping out of the bathroom with her crutches.
Lauren saw Eli and Irina and wondered what they were doing here and said—
—"Hi.?"
Eli said—
—"Hey, we have something to tell you."
Then Irina said—
—"One of my ships came back and said that they picked up a Man adrift at sea a few days ago. They said he was burned and unconscious when they found him floating in the water."
"Ok?" said Lauren questioning why they were telling her this and then Irina said—
—"When the Man recovered, he said his name was Detective Waters."
Lauren looked shocked and said—
—"He's alive?"
Eli said—
—"We don't know if it's really him, we haven't seen him yet. We thought you should be the one to see him first."
Then the 3 of them went to the other ship to see if it really was him.
"He's in that room." said the Crewman leading them to the room.
Eli opened the door for Lauren who was holding her crutches.
Then Lauren saw the Man standing in the room.
The Man turned his head and looked at them as the door opened.
Lauren saw that the Man had his arms and legs bandaged.
She saw that his face was scarred and he held a cane in his right hand.
Lauren went inside and looked at his face.
She saw his blue eyes and knew it was him.
Waters looked at Lauren's face, her blue eyes, her red hair and he was stunned to see her.
They both stared at each other speechless.
Lauren then dropped her crutches and hugged him.
Eli smiled and gave Irina a look that said 'I guess it is him.'
Waters had tears in his eyes as he held and hugged his daughter for the first time.
Lauren didn't have any tears in her eyes, but she was glad to be able to hug her father for the first time.
THE NEXT DAY, they held a funeral for Mason.
They set a funeral pyre for Mason on the beach.
Everyone was in attendance.
Alex, Ana and all their friends stood with Judith and her family for emotional support.
Judith and her sisters and Mother all had tears in their eyes.
Waters even gave a nice Eulogy.
Waters said—
—"He was a good man. He loved his daughters more than anything. He gave his own life so that others could live, in particular my daughter Lauren, for which I am deeply grateful. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you my friend. I know that I nor any of us will be able to repay you for what you did, but we will never ever forget you. Your memory will live on in our hearts. Rest in peace my friend."
Then Waters lit the pyre with a torch and stood with everyone in reverence as it burned away.
THEREAFTER, Irina held a medal ceremony in the cafeteria inside the ship to honor all of the heroes who contributed to saving the world and the liberation of the city.
Irina praised and awarded all of her troops by pinning medals onto their uniforms.
Then, Amaia, Natalia, Alex, Ana, Yumi, Leo, Ennio, Judith, Rob, Lauren, Kris, Eli, May, Maja, Victor and Waters all had medals put on them by Irina.
Eli gave Irina a wink and a smile as Irina put the medal on him.
All of their family members along with everyone else in the cafeteria applauded and cheered for them.
THE NEXT DAY, they decorated the chapel for a double wedding.
Yumi wore a white kimono dress with her lotus flower hairpin in her hair.
Ana wore a nice white wedding dress and had her hair nicely in curls.
Alex walked Ana down the aisle and Yumi's Dad walked her down the aisle.
They walked up to the altar where Ennio and Leo were standing with the Priest.
Alex and Yumi's Dad handed them off to their grooms.
They both kissed their brides and everyone applauded and cheered for them.
Then everyone danced.
Ana and Ennio danced together.
Yumi and Leo danced together.
Alex and Judith danced together.
Rob and Nina danced together.
Eli and Irina waltzed together.
Victor asked Maja to dance and she accepted.
Even Kris was able to get Lauren to agree to pick her up and twirl her around.
After dancing, they all ate together.
Alex gave the newly weds a nice speech and a toast.
THAT NIGHT, they had a celebration on the beach with music and bonfires.
Everyone was laughing, dancing, drinking and having a great time.
They even had fireworks go off in the night sky.
Victor, Maja, Eli, May, Leo, Ennio, Yumi and Kris played volleyball on the beach while Lauren watched.
Clare, Rob and Nina played in the sand with their kids.
Natalia, Judith, Irina and everyone else sat by the campfires listening to the music or dancing along to it.
Ana and Amaia had a friendly game of chess in which Amaia happily won with a smile on her face.
Alex sat on the beach barefoot by himself looking out at the horizon and the stars in the sky, while remembering his parents.
He looked at the picture of them in his locket and then he looked up at the night sky thanking them.
Then Judith walked over to him and sat down beside him.
They kissed.
He put his arms around her and they both looked out at the waves crashing in front of them.
Then they stood up and walked back to join everyone at the party.
