Jisung lets out a sigh after hearing his best friend talk about Jeno. It's hard to be just the supportive best friend when he knows his other is hurting for that reason.
"I can feel your stress", Chenle says, reaching up to gently mess with his boyfriends hair.
"Why is everything complicated?"
"There's four of them, they all have their things, and they've known each other before they started this. But don't worry, they can figure it out."
"I don't want anyone to get hurt."
"Me either, but sometimes, we can't stop it."
"That's the problem", Jisung mumbles, glancing down at his phone.
"They'll be okay. Who wouldn't with you by their side?"
"I love you."
Chenle smiles. "I know."
Jisung pulls him into a kiss and immediately feels more relaxed. He melts into his boyfriends arms when he hugs him.
"You're perfect", Jisung says before kissing the boy again.
"So are you."

"Is everything alright?"
Jaemin chuckles bitterly. "I have no idea." Then he adds, "But spending time with people always feel better and you owe a hangout so..."
Mark smiles and nods. "You're right. And you also owe me ice cream."
Jaemin smiles back, already feeling slightly better. Plus, who can feel sad knowing they're gonna get ice cream?
The two walk into the place and are immediately greeted with what looks like a mix between a gym and physical training facility. Mark wouldn't know the difference if not for the netted walls that contain the trampoline that makes up the ceiling.
"Is that, um, safe?" Mark asks, pointing to it.
Jaemin grins, looking so much happier, Mark notices. "Yeah."
"We're not going on that, right?"
"I am." At Mark's expression, Jaemin places a comforting hand on his arm. "I won't make you do anything you don't wanna do."
"I don't really wanna be myself."
Jaemin gives Mark a look. "I never said anything about leaving you by yourself, did I?"

Mark's loud laugh fills up the ball pit, alongside Jaemins giggling. The couple in the ball pit next to them laughs at the two, instantly switching back to more serious faces when they remember they're in the middle of a serious dodgeball game.
The guy throws the ball at his girlfriend, prompting her to dive to her right, out of the balls path. She does it so well she ends up flipping into the other end of the ball pit.
"Yo, that was cool."
"I know, right", her boyfriend says while she smiles and says, "Thank you."
As soon as Mark turns to face Jaemin, his vision is momentarily taken away by a squishy, foam ball in his face. He hears Jaemins adorable giggling. When he looks at the male, he's not surprised how cute he looks. And he's not really surprised that he seems super either.
"You sure you don't want backup?" The guy next to them asks right before he jumps out of the way of the mall his girlfriend throws at him.
"I'm kinda scared", Mark chuckles. "I learned that you shouldn't play against him and you two are scary."
The couple laughs but nods in understanding, knowing they're intense.
"Don't worry, Mark, I won't hurt you."
Mark yelps when Jaemin throws a ball at him right after, causing him to throw himself into the sea of foam balls. Mark stands up and shows Jaemin his unamused face, which only deepens when Jaemin loses it, unintentionally throwing himself on the tower of balls.
Mark tries to be annoyed, but with the couple laughing as well, fully entertained by the two, and Jaemin's contagious laugh, and beautiful smile, he can't help but smile at his happiness.
"I'm gonna get water, I'll be back."
Mark nods and watches Jaemin walk away.
"Friends or dating?" The girl questions.
"Friends", Mark answers. "For now."
"Looks like someone's got plans", she smirks.
Heat rushes to Marks cheeks at the not-so-far-off accusation.
The guy gently slaps her arm and points to the red-faced male. "Now, look what you did."
Mark waves his head, shaking his head to tell them it's okay, without making eye contact.
"I'm back!" Jaemin announces, carrying four water bottles.
He holds two over the net and waits for one of them to grab it.
"Thank you so much", the girl says.
"Yeah, thank you."
"Mark, incoming."
Mark yells on instinct, ducking down so only his head above the sea of colorful balls.
"I'm not that scary, am I?"
"Yes."
Jaemin playfully rolls his eyes.
The two continue playing until they get tired and the they take a rest on one of trampoline basketball courts. The two had played, due to Jaemins promise that he will be just as bad as Mark is but once they realized that Jaemin found a way to be good at shooting basketballs on a bouncy surface, Jaemin agreed that Mark deserved a break.
Now they're sitting crisscross, face-to-face, scrolling on their phones while looking at either the ice cream shop menu or places they want to hangout next.
"Bye!" The girl shouts to get their attention.
The four wave at each other as the couple leaves, grabbing their hands right before they go past the doors that lead into the main part of the building.
They stay in there for a while before getting up to do a few more things before leaving.

"Wanna get a banana split?"
"Can you handle that?"
"Hey, I'm a big boy, you know?"
Jaemin shakes his head, smiling, as Mark holds the door open for him.
"Hello! Do you know what you're getting?"
