Words wouldn't express how happy Alex was for the past three weeks, she felt like her heart would explode with joy
Things were going the way they were supposed to, her school was going great unlike last semester, she had the bestest of friends and last but not least, she had the best boyfriend
It was weird for her, she always caught herself smiling for no reason. It wasn't surprising though, Tyler was treating her right
The past three weeks had been the best weeks of her college life, from having fun with friends to spending more time with Tyler during her free time
Over the period, Alex and Tyler's relationship had and was still the talk of the school. How could the school not quiet down about them when they were always together

Alex shook her head with a smile as she looked in the mirror
He sure was a little possessive
It was six in the evening and Alex stood there assessing her outfit, she had put on a navy blue dress that hugged her body just the right places, it had a sweatheart neckline with straps that formed a butterfly knot on her shoulders, it was loose from her bellybutton down to just below her knees and had a slit that reach mid-thigh
She tied her noteless braids in a high ponytail and had put on a natural makeup
I hope this is not much she thought
She walked to the edge of the bed and sat down before sliding her feet into her four inch silver pointed-toe D'Orsay heels
It wasn't her style to go on dates during the weekdays, those days were for school but then again when has she ever gone on a date
Tyler was surprised when she told him she never went on a date and decided to take her out as soon as possible
Flashback
"You're serious?" Tyler asked
They were sitting on the green grass outside the library alone, their friends either had classes or were somewhere chilling with their other friends
Alex sat with her legs crossed while Tyler sat next to her with his legs sprawled on the grass with his hands behind him supporting his weight
"I'm serious"
He fixated his gaze on her, his mind could not believe what the pretty girl was saying
"Louis was my first boyfriend"
Tyler sighed as he looked away from her
"But he never really took me places"
He looked at her
"If we exclude Patty's" she chuckled
Alex shook her head at her inexperience as she chuckled but her laugh was cut short when she noticed she was laughing alone
Butterflies suddenly erupted in her tummy at his intense gaze, she looked away as she pursed her lips trying to act normal
She heard him shuffle so she tilted her head back to look at him again but was caught out of breath when she found him inches closer to her face
Tyler had trapped her with his arms either side of her, their faces were very close causing Alex to breath heavily silently
"Ty" she whispered
"Let's go out" he said his eyes fixated on hers
She smiled and licked her bottom lip earning a sigh from Tyler as her stunt didn't go unnoticed. His eyes rolled back to her eyes
"What do you say?"
"You know I wouldn't deny" she gave him a low-key downward smile
Tyler grinned
"True dat"
His smile vanished as his eyes rolled down to her lips again and lowered his face capturing her lips
End of flashback
They had agreed or rather Tyler decided they go out the next day
That is how Alex found herself standing in the living room now waiting for her man to appear from the hallway
He sure was taking his time
Wanting to pass time she walked to the window and looked at the view outside, it was now dark and the city lights added more beauty to the city view
No matter how long she was going to live in the house, the view from up there was one thing she could never get enough of
Tyler's house really had the best view of the city
As she stood there admiring the city, a shiver ran down her spine as she felt a presence behind her, she felt hands slowly caress her arms
"Hey" he whispered
"Hi" she said about to turn around but he stopped her
A wave of confusion hit her as she wondered what he was on about, didn't he want to see her? Appreciate beauty?

Her confusion was cut short when she felt a necklace on her,Tyler turned her as soon as he was done putting it on her and looked at the necklace with a smile
Alex's hand found her way to it and touch the letters that was engraved on the necklace

She smiled knowing the meaning of the abbreviation and looked up to him
"I love it, thank you" she smiled
He nodded with a small smile as he stared at her face
"You look beautiful tonight" he said
"You look good too" she said and dusted invisible dust on Tyler's shoulders "you should wear Armini suits more often"
That earned a deep chuckle from Tyler
"Roger" was all he said before he put his hand on her back to usher her out and get started with their night
"So where are we going?" Alex asked as Tyler drove around town
"Just some restaurant a few minutes from here"
"Which is?"
"Here" he said as the car stopped in front of a building
Alex looked outside and read the name of the building before her eyes went as wide as sourcerers
"You got a reservation at Sam's Exquisite at such a short notice"
Tyler gave her a proud smirk
"Well what can I say, I'm-"
"Shoosh don't be cocky" she giggled
They both laughed a little
"Fiona would be serving us herself if she was here" Alex said
"Yeah" he smiled remembering how his sister-in-law reacted when she found out about them dating
"Enough of the sad vibes let's get inside" Alex said before opening the door
She stepped outside as Tyler got out off the car and threw the keys to man Alex didn't notice
"You stole my shine" Tyler said as his hand laid on her back
"What?" Alex glanced at him as they walked in the restaurant "wow"
Her eyes examined the room as she took in every detail of the huge restaurant full of what looked like elegant people
The room was 50 meters wide with black metal table with golden lining half a meter away from each other, the walls were brown and a golden crystal chandelier hang on the ceiling illuminating the whole room
There was a few people here and there, others working on their computers, others having a chat and others obviously on their dates
"Mr Nowels, welcome" A lady in her mid thirties appeared out of nowhere startling Alex
"Is my table ready?" Tyler asked
"Yes sir, follow me"
Alex slid her hand into Tyler's as they followed the lady
Tyler looked down at her and smiled as he watched her look around in awe, her eyes roamed around the place with a small smile on her face
She was excited he could tell, taking her out wasn't purely a mistake
Right there he planned on taking her on as many dates as possible
