"Yuma, I will leave the explaining up to you. Jaden and I will be over here trying to create a plan to evacuate everyone in the tournament. Along with trying to figure out the millennium item problem." Yusei excused Jaden and himself to leave from the two youngsters. Jaden wanted to protest in order to hang out with the legendary duelist Yugi Muto. Along with his awesome ancient pharaoh ghost partner Yami but Yusei dragged him by the back of his collar for him to follow him to a secluded part of the roof.
When Yugi had patted Selene's head — Something was triggered. A heavy trigger. He made himself look like he sat down normally when in actuality he barely was able to sit down without falling. All their voices were becoming mere echoes and inaudible for him. Things were changing around them. It was like that single exchange of touch triggered something. Yugi glanced at Yami and saw he was also experiencing the same thing. They both were staring off at a certain spot in the roof. Remaining in an intense daze. 'What is this?' Yugi wondered while his surroundings became different.
Yuma lightly chuckles when he watches Jaden get dragged away by Yusei. Selene tugged on Yuma's jacket, he looked down at her a bit puzzled. "Something is not right with papa and uncle Yugi." Selene whispers to him. Yuma was confused at first until he took a good look at both the legendary spirit and duelist. They were both in a heavy daze. Staring off into space. "You're right. Something's off." Yuma slowly approached Yugi and Yami with Selene clinging closely beside him. He waved in front of their faces. They were unphased. They gave no reaction. The good thing was that they were still breathing so they were still alive. "Papa! Uncle Yugi!" Selene called out to them. Still no response.
Yugi was starting to see things from a short point of view 'What the —' Yugi mentally gasps. Finally seeing Paradox for himself just the way you described him to look like. Seeing his half white and black mask as clear as day. 'This is my daughter's point of view! Of everything!' Yami finally understood what he and his partner were witnessing. This was only possible because Yugi touched Selene by patting her head. Triggering this vision connection. Similar to how you are able to communicate with the millennium puzzles holder in dire situations – Selene was able to do something similar but not quite. She was able to show the puzzle holders things the millennium daggers owner has gone through. A unique and unaware of ability Selene seems to possess. Everything was going by fast within his mind and eyes. Watching her journey up to this point was being seen by the both of them. Even though things were happening in a flash, he was still able to hear and see everything. From the beginning where she encountered Yuma for the first time to the very moment that she arrived in their time period.
"THIS IS NO TIME TO SPACE OUT!! WAKE UP!!" Yugi snapped out of the daze when Selene was yelling at him. Only for Yugi getting hit in the face with the sheath of the millennium dagger at his forehead once he came to. "Ow!" he winced. A red mark was now on his forehead. Yuma had pulled Selene back but he stopped when they both heard Yugi react. A sigh of relief came from both of them. "You all have been through a lot on your journey." Yugi sympathetically looked at them. Seeing how much destruction Paradox has caused for this world's timelines was terrible. It was awful. He admired these travelers for fighting so hard against this Paradox guy. They were even still willing to fight after those difficult to swallow defeats. "Huh?" Yuma blinked, confused. "When Yugi touched my daughter's head, we both were able to see your entire journey." Yami simply and briefly explained what Yugi meant behind his words. Selene tightened her grip on Yuma's jacket "Then . . . You saw . . ." Selene couldn't bring herself to finish what she tried to say. She hung her head low. Avoiding her fathers gaze upon her. She knew he must have seen the conversation she had with Yuma about Yami. "I did." Yami's eyes softened along with his smile "And I am so proud of you." His words touched Selene's heart. Making her lift her head up with a surprised look on her face. Hearing those words made her want to start crying again. She made herself smile instead to fight the urge to cry out of happiness. "And I am so glad that I don't have to explain everything for a 3rd time." Yuma sighs in glee. This meant that they could use this time to set up the plan Yusei had going for them.
"How is Jane doing by the way? I don't know what happened after the battle with her and Dartz. I just know Jane and (Y/n) kicked his ass." Yuma slipped in the question with a light chuckle. Selene's eyes lit up from the mention of Jane. She looked eagerly at them "I don't have a Jane in my world so I look forward to meeting her along with mama!" Selene found Jane very interesting. Also found it cool to have known she was a cute cat. Yami and Yugi exchange a sad glance at each other. It wasn't too hard to figure out the reason behind their glances. "What . . . Happened to Jane?" Selene slowly asked. Yami gave Yugi a nod for him to go ahead and tell them the unfortunate fate Jane had in the battle against Dartz. How she helped save the world with her great and unforgettable sacrifice. The news made Yuma slump down on his knees. Selene sat beside him with a hand on his shoulder. Trying to comfort him.
Yuma knew things were going to end like that eventually once he let you and Jane go back to the past but . . . He didn't imagine that Jane would be taken so soon after her arrival . . . Although . . . He wasn't entirely sad about it either. From what he learned about Jane, he can understand that this was a way Jane probably would have wanted to go out in. Jane got to tell the truth, she got to apologize, she got to reunite with her knightley friends one last time, she got to avenge – even though it cost her greatly this time – in the fight she never got the chance to end all those years ago, and she couldn't have gone out in any better way than with the people she loved more than anything else in this world. He was glad she got to make amends before she left this world. After living for so long at once a sad existence that became a blissful one in the end. Still, Yuma couldn't help but cry. "I'm sorry for being the bearer of bad news . . ." Yugi apologized in a low, sad tone. "It's alright." Yuma shakes his head while wiping his tears. "At least Jane got to rest without any regrets. That is something to be happy about at least." He said, managing a smile. Yugi smiled back at him ". . . Let's go see what Yusei and Jaden have come up with." Yugi encouraged. He stood up with Yami and the two younglings. They all followed Yugi's suggestion and went over to Yusei and Jaden.
Selene stood by Jaden. "Ahem" Yami cleared his throat. Standing in front of Jaden "Oh. I'll move. No worries, your highness!" Jaden smiled brightly and casually moved to the side. Yami stepped in between Jaden and Selene. Yami lightly chuckles "No need for formalities." Yami waves his hand for him to drop the royal treatment. Yami didn't feel comfortable with things such as that quite yet. Jaden nods and turns his attention to make small talk with Yusei and Yuma. The pharaoh glanced at Selene "Jaden is too old for you." Yami whispered down to Selene. She didn't catch on at first until a split second later. Her cheeks turned red from embarrassment. Realizing Yami and Yugi saw the conversation between Yuma and her about her little crush on the slifer red duelist in the memory link earlier. Yugi didn't say anything about it but Yami sure had something to say about it. "You should be with someone your age." Selene pouts with her arms crossed. Having to hear her father lecture her about a crush was embarrassing but also weird. "Preferably with someone whose hair doesn't look like a Kuriboh." Yami added with a light cough. Selene scoffs "Seriously?! Have you seen your hair?!" Selene whisper yelled at him. Yami crossed his arms with his head held up high. "I'll have you know your mother loves my hair." He had a sly smirk on his face. That didn't take too much to figure out what he meant for the little princess. Selene had her hands over her ears "Ew! Gross!" Selene gagged in disgust. Jaden poked his head out to their side "Whatcha guys talking about?" Jaden innocently asked. "Nothing!" Selene blurted out, still with rosy cheeks. She went to punch Yami's arm but her hand went through him. Selene caught herself though before she almost stumbled because of that. Yami snorted while Selene composed herself. She cleared her throat "Anyways, what plan have you come up with?" Selene quickly changed the focus from her for a new topic to focus on.
Jaden walked over to the edge of the roof with Yubel coming up from apparently going off somewhere. "The first plan of motion we need to do is obviously evacuate the citizens." The others followed him to the roof's railing. Looking down at the courtyard full of innocent duelists. Some parents. Some young adults. All of them have their lives ahead of them. Yugi tore his eyes away from the stage. Seeing the stage only made him reimagine the horrible fate Pegasus was dealt with. Yugi took his eyes upon his grandpa who was sitting on a bench. Looking around while he was eating. Waiting eagerly for his grandson to return. "I will send a fireball to make the humans evacuate. There are 3 exits that I found." Yubel informed them when they flew down beside Jaden. They pointed to the exits that they found. "This means instead of 2 we will have 3 teams. 3 teams will go out to make sure the people exit safely." Yusei added. "Since there are physically 5 of us." Jaden placed a hand over his heart "I will go alone. Yusei is with Yuma and Yugi will be with the princess. That way Astral and Yami could search higher up if there are still civilians needed to be evacuated that are near their exits." Jaden explained one of the plans. He looked at Yusei to explain the other plan. Yusei looked at Yugi "We can defeat him by dueling. I mean most villains we all have fought somehow always need to duel them. So we're pretty much most likely going to end up dueling him." Yusei shrugs nonchalantly. Yuma and Yugi thought about it then slowly nodded. It ridiculously made sense since that's mostly what ends up happening for them too. It is something these legendary duelists all had in common: Saving the world with a card game. "Although we have to be prepared for the possibility of that not working. For if defeating Paradox does not guarantee that things in the other timelines will return once he is defeated." Yusei turned to Selene with a serious expression across his face "Which is where Lady Selene comes in." All eyes went on Selene. Made her shrink a bit where she stood in this group circle.
"(Y/n) is going to arrive when Paradox does. And when we encounter them both – You need to take (Y/n) to a safe place away from the duel. When you are far enough, help (Y/n) figure out a way to activate the millennium items again. Because if Paradox's defeat doesn't bring things back to normal, we need (Y/n) and the pharaoh here in order to make that happen. Your own strength too Lady Selene." Selene clenched the chain of the millennium puzzle "But . . . I only can shield . . ." Selene was doubting her part in this plan for when or if she did accomplish someway or somehow to make the millennium items reawakened again. "It doesn't matter if you can only shield." Selene silently gasps, turning her attention from Yusei to Yuma. "Your additional power may be just what they need to help everyone in the timelines return to normal." Yuma smiles "I know you can do it – No –" He gestures to the group "We know you can do it." They all nodded in agreement on Yuma's point. Selene's doubt dissipated with their belief in her on her part of this plan. She let go of the chain. "I will do my best." Selene said with a confident smile. Yami pats her head even though she couldn't feel it and it just went through her. He did it anyway. "I know you will." Yami meant every word. "Paradox will try to use both of you to make us forfeit the duel. He won't hesitate harming either of you to do that. It is best that both of you stay clear for your safety." Yusei adds. Selene nods on that part. She knew she would only be in the way if she was there with you by the duel trying to figure a way to make the millennium items awaken again. Selene didn't have her shield ability to protect herself nor would you have any abilities due to the items being unusable. This was the safest route for her to take in this. Selene didn't want to make them worry either if either of you got hurt. "This sounds like a solid plan." Yugi complimented Yusei and Jaden which made them both smile from his praise. Astral appeared above Yuma "You have always been able to shoot fireballs?" He asked Yubel. "Yes." Yubel straightforwardly replied. "Interesting." Astral muttered curiously and intrigued.
Jaden had his hands on his hips "Alright we have 25 Minutes to get everyone out. Let's hop to it!" Jaden started heading towards the door of the building's roof. Everyone followed in pursuit. Yugi was midway down the stairs with Selene beside him. When he got to the lobby of the 2nd floor he glanced out the glass window of the building. He stopped for a moment. Looking at the courtyard again. Knowing this place was going to be a battlefield in the matter of minutes. 'I don't know if I can relive all of that again . . . All of that death . . . All of that blood . . . I also don't want these people to go through that again either . . . But I'm scared . . .' Yugi thought to himself. Selene noticed Yugi was staying back. So did the others but Selene motioned for them to go on ahead. Mouthing she would meet up with them with Yugi in a minute. Yugi was taken away from his thoughts when he felt a small hand hold onto his hand. It was Selene's hand. Yugi didn't even realize his hand was shaking until Selene held it. She looked up to him "My mama always used to say: Whenever you are afraid or scared of something — don't ever think of it as a weakness. Let it be your greatest weapon for when you gather the courage to face whatever that fear may be." Selene whispers. Giving a gentle squeeze to Yugi's hand. Yugi held her hand back with a small smile "That sounds like (Y/n). She was always good at encouraging others. Glad she passed that on to you too." Yugi smiled more. Selene smiled back at him. "Come on. Let's go." Yugi walked with Selene out of the building. Hand in hand.

Yugi walked out to see the others waiting for the two of them "Let me talk to my grandpa first. You guys go near the exits. I will signal Jaden with waving like a crazy person at you." Yugi wanted to explain just a little to his grandpa about some of this. Also to be able to let him know that he will be alright. "Alright." Jaden spoke for the other two, agreeing to let Yugi go. Everyone was spread out to be near the exits while Yugi walked up to his grandpa. "Yugi! There you are!" The old man said with relief. Finally seeing his grandson after he just disappeared all of a sudden. His eyes drew down to Selene. "Yugi . . . How the hell did you conceive a child the second you leave my sight!?" Solomon exclaimed, pointing to the princess. Yugi hushes this riled old man to calm down. He managed to quiet the old man before people stared at them. Some people tried to look but they assumed it was someone else or that they were just hearing things. "There is so much I want to explain but I do not have time to explain it all right now. I am just going to need you to trust me." Yugi placed a hand on his grandpa's shoulder. Solomon wanted to pester him with many questions. The only reason he did not was because he saw what Selene was wearing. Her own millennium puzzle. A 2nd millennium puzzle. Something that is impossible was staring and was radiant from the sunlight of the afternoon's rising sun. He looked back at Yugi who had a serious expression on his young face. 'Why . . . Does this situation feel so familiar . . . Like I have experienced something similar but I also have no recollection of ever experiencing it either . . . That feeling is also telling me to trust him . . . How strange this is . . .' Solomon couldn't help but think while looking at his dear Yugi. Solomon placed a hand over Yugi's that was on his shoulder "I trust you my boy." Solomon smiled softly. Yugi was glad his grandpa was willing to trust him once more. He was surprised however when he pulled both him and Selene into a tight embrace. Selene didn't expect to be hugged. She didn't fight though. She just let it happen. "I have a feeling it has something of me and everyone needing to leave . . . I can't explain how I know. I just do." Yugi pulled back from the hug. Amazed how he somehow knew exactly what Yugi was going to tell him. Yugi nodded. Giving him a brief summary while making him follow them to the exit he and Selene were stationed at for this evacuation plan.
Solomon let out a long sigh. Turning around to face Selene and Yugi "Be careful you two." Solomon did his best to not be tearful. Remaining strong for them both. He ruffled Selene's hair "It was a pleasure meeting you, dear princess." Solomon chortles. Selene smiled up at him "It is good seeing you again too." This puzzled Solomon but he didn't ask. He felt it was just best not to ask when there was a time limit on this plan.
Yugi took a deep breath. He looked over to the direction Jaden's exit was. He waved over, giving the signal.
Yubel appeared beside Jaden. They aimed their hand to the stage and they blasted a fireball at the speakers. The stage caught on fire. Panic arose in the people in the courtyard. The group did their parts. Making sure everyone in this area was evacuating from the place. Guiding them towards the exits. All of them even went as far as to go further in the exits to see that all the guests of the event left the area safely.

"Phew. Everyone is evacuated." Jaden sighs with his hands on his hips. Stretching out his back when he felt something cold plop on his cheek. Jaden blinks as more of those cold drops come gushing down. Rain drops. He didn't even notice how dark the clouds became. Thunder roared and lightning struck. It made the young duelist gulp. "Well that certainly set the mood. Heh." He stood properly. Yubel crossed their arms "At least this rain will be able to put out that stage fire." Yubel made a good point. It made it easier for them. No one had to go run around to find a fire extinguisher. "We need to get back to the others. We don't have much time." Yubel insisted. "Right." Jaden turned his heel when he stumbled from the sudden shaking of the ground. He managed to keep his balance though the shaking decreased a little, it still was shaking. "Paradox has arrived." Yubell hissed through their teeth. Mentioning his mere name made them want to strangle Paradox themselves. After all the bullshit he has put everyone and Jaden through. "Then we better make haste for the plan!!" Jaden started to run back to the courtyard. Yubel took their leave, residing back within Jasen. From the distance he could see multiple color lights. Clashing with the raging thunder within the stormy sky. "I have a bad feeling about this." Jaden muttered under his breath. Sensing duel monsters spirits decking it out. Something else along with it. A strong fighting spirit also lurked within them.
A spirit he couldn't tell if it was from the duel monsters.

Alright, I must bring terrible news: It's August.
You all know what that means . . . School season . . . Well, for me, college. (Even worse).
My classes start at the end of August which means I will update less often. I want to try to keep up with 2 chapters per week (which I have been doing) but I will probably end up releasing chapters whenever I can because of classes.
Until then, I will try to keep up!
