It hurt
It hurt her to see him sit there and s t as everything was okay when it truly wasn't
It hurt her to see his new girlfriend mingle with her friends and him sitting there okay with it
Alex had curled up in her bed crying, wondering what she did wrong
What had she done to him? Was it because she hadn't made known her feelings for him? He hated girls but she hadn't done anything wrong to deserve such a harsh treatment from him
Alex couldn't blame him though, this was his house, she came to him seeking once again shelter
I had it coming
She heard a knock on her door which caused her to slowly sit up right
There was a knock again
Sniffing she wiped her tears and walked to the door, she did a once over on herself and wiped her face making sure she looked okay and opened the door
What she didn't expect was to find him standing there
She slowly tilted her head up to look at him, what did he want now?
"Can we talk?"
Standing there she contemplated, did she want to hear him out? Or did she prefer curling back in her bed to feel more miserable
Deciding just that she shook her head and was about to close the door when Tyler stopped it
"Go away Tyler" she whispered as she turned around
Her tears were threatening to fall
Tyler fell helpless just then and there, how would he fix this if she wasn't cooperating
He had truly hurt her he felt guilty, distancing himself away from her for the past few months was the worst decision he had ever made in his life
"I'm sorry" Tyler suddenly spoke "It was wrong of me to push you away after I confessed to you.."
"Please leave Tyler" her voice broke
His heart hurt hearing her voice, she was crying. He wanted to stop it, make her feel better
He took a step and gently turned her around, she hid her face from him as she looked down
"Hey" he whispered "can we fix this?"
"How?" She looked up to him
He held back a smile as he looked at her face, her eyes were slightly red with tears all over her face and yet she still managed to look beautiful
"You're with another Ty" she stepped back making Tyler's arms to fall on his sides
"Another?" Tyler furrowed his eyebrows
Alex sniffed
"Please don't do this" she shook her head "you can't play her like that"
"What are you talking about?" Tyler asked confusion full on his face
A wave of annoyance hit Alex, the fact that he was playing the oblivious card made her angry than sad
Why were boys like this sometimes
"Jeanah?"
"What about her?" He asked
Alex gave out an aspirated sigh as she grew frustrated by the minute while Tyler was thinking putting two and two together
"Wait?"
Alex looked at him
Tyler chuckled as he asked himself if what he was thinking was right
"You think Jeanah is my-"
"Girlfriend? Are you going to deny that?"
Tyler laughed, he could hold it back. Alex's face scowl deepened as she watched him enjoy himself with her misery
She would've been happy to see him in this state but circumstances said otherwise
Annoyed to the core, Alex turned to walk away but stopped when she felt his hand on her arm
"Alex" he said all calmed down
"Leave me alone Tyler" she shook her head
"Jeanah is my sister"
Butterflies attacked Alex's stomach at the sudden revelation she had came to know
What?
She turned around fast disbelief in her eyes
"She's my sister in law's little sister, we grew up together ...she like a little sister to me"
Alex shook her head in regret
"She's clingy, photogenic, friendly and the only person that gets information out of me ...I'm surprised you don't know her"
"I.."
"Speechless" he slightly smiled
"I'm so sorry Ty I didn't know I-"
"Anyone who doesn't know her would think the same, but I'm not here to talk about my little sister. I want to apologise for distancing myself, you had just broken up with that douche I figured your emotions were everywhere and wouldn't have made the right decision about us"
"Is that why you didn't want me to tell you how I felt?"
He nodded
"Ty"
"It pained me to stay away you have to know this" he cupped her cheek and locked eyes with her
His eyes rolled to her beautiful pink lips, how he wished he had the freedom to kiss them whenever he felt like it
He sighed
Looking into her eyes again, he planned on reassuring her that he wasn't going to go anywhere. He was willing to wait until she confessed her feelings for him
"I'm falling for you Knight" he whispered "a mere thought of you lights up my day, God knows how good my day would be if I started and ended it with you... You're the only girl I see and will always see" he said "well unless you decide to push me away" he chuckled
He blinked as he kept eye contact with her
"I mean it Alex"
He truly meant it, she could see it in his eyes. His confession made her want to come out more than ever
Tyler smiled as he pulled away, he didn't trust himself, any second longer and he'd attack her lips
"I'll see you tomorrow" he said as he turned
Alex felt frustrated as she watched him leave, the urge for him to know how she felt hit her hard, she felt she wouldn't get the chance to tell him anytime soon if she played with this one
Getting out of her room she entered the hallway only to find him entering his room
"I like you Tyler" she said loud enough for him to hear
Tyler stopped
"I've liked you ever since you showed up in your kitchen shirtless on my first morning here"
Tyler turned and slowly walked towards her
"I know I had a boyfriend that time but his touch, his presence never affected me the way that you did, you were constantly on mind ...my heart rate skyrocket when your close, my stomach misbehaves, you give me goosebumps ...everyday I wondered how it'd be to be your girl, I like you that much Ty"
Tyler stood in front of her as he watched her express her feelings
"It wasn't necessary for you to distance yourself from me during the holiday" she said as she looked down at her feet "I had planned to break up with Louis that day before I saw the video, I thought I liked Louis but" she licked her lips "the main reason why I wanted to break up with him was because I like you Ty, I felt guilty ...I felt like I was playing you both I-"
Her words were cut short when Tyler raised her chin and put his mouth on hers
Tyler smiled as he deepened the kiss, he knew she liked him he could sense it, he was only waiting for her to feel comfortable and reciprocate his feelings
What he didn't expect was for it to be soon
He pulled back and placed his forehead on hers as he tried to hide the grin that was threatening to show on his face
Happiness and warmness flooded his heart, when was the last time he felt genuinely happy? He didn't remember but he felt glad, lucky that the girl he was falling for was in the same situation as him
He pulled away and cupped her cheek the second time that night
"You wish to be my girl?" He joked as he smiled
"Maybe" Alex shyly smiled
Tyler snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her to him, she placed her hands on his shoulders
"Will you?"
"Will I what?"
"Be my girlfriend"
Alex looked into his eyes, he had never looked at her that way before
With love, care, patience
"Are you willing to wait?" She joked
"I've been waiting for three years, I could wait a little more if you're not ready to be in a relationship" he said in all seriousness
"Chill" Alex smiled "I don't think making you wait will do me any good"
"I was going to make you mine by the end of the night either way" he arrogantly said as he placed his lips on hers
