Kemi and I stood right outside of Naomi's compound, the gate locked as we wondered if the party venue had changed or something. Kemi complimented my look squealing excitedly that I looked hot!. My hair was already styled into the African Ghana weaving with traditional beads attached to the end reaching the middle of my back, my tube top was snug to my body the Barbie printed right across my boobs boldly showing off my belly button.
My high waisted jeans hugging my curves nicely, and on my feet were simple white sneakers. I put in a lot of work to look really good for this party and I had to say I did a good job. Kemi also really looked nice. I unlocked my phone dialing derin's number.
He picked up, the background sounding really noisy. "Hey Tami, are you guys already here?"
"Yeah.. but the gate's locked" I answered.
"Oh, I'm coming.." and with that the call ended.
"What did he say?" Kemi asked impatiently
"He's coming.." I answered.
In a couple of seconds, the gate opened to reveal Derin looking really hot! and in his hands was a plastic red cup as he flashed us one of his charming smiles.
"Hi ladies, you're late yunno" he said with a smirk.
Kemi just pushed him and went in causing him to chuckle at her behavior. His eyes finally met mine and he froze completely.
Did I look that bad?
His eyes subtly raked my entire body in surprise causing me to feel a bit self conscious. He immediately snapped out of the self induced trance he was in before giving me a smile. "Wow! Tami you look.. wow" he said unable to form words causing me to laugh softly stepping into the large compound as I watched him close the gate.
"Now I'm starting to have second choices about you walking into that party" he said his eyes still checking me out.
"Why?" I asked confused
"Because you're totally going to get the attention of a lot of guys" he said causing me to smirk boldly.
"Maybe that's just what I want.." I answered walking into the house as he trailed after me.
The party was totally crazy!. Loud music played in the background, with people dancing and rubbing against each other. Girls wore the skimpiest outfits and twerked like anything. It was nothing I had ever seen and i suddenly felt out of place. I couldn't find Kemi anywhere and I walked deeper into the house probably looking for somewhere quiet to sit.
Guys who looked like they were in their late twenties were smoking something which seemed to be weed, some were dry humping each other while some other people were passed out on the floor from probably too much drinking. I recognized some people from the tutorial academy while the rest where totally strangers. Derin tugged my arm pulling me with him before leading me upstairs before opening up a random bedroom as we stared at each other.
"Why did you drag me up here?" I asked confused
"I need to tell you about the do's and don't's about being in a party because as you can see that party is very crazy" he said with a chuckle causing me to nod in agreement
"I can take care of myself Derin" I answered rolling my eyes which he just ignored.
"If anyone offers you anything to drink, refuse it immediately it could be spiked with alcohol. Don't run off with random people. Stay by my side 24/7, so I can watch you closely"he said firmly causing me to groan.
"Derin, how am I supposed to have fun if you're babysitting me all through.." I said
He walked closer to me holding my hand causing goosebumps to erupt on my skin as we stared into each other's eyes.
Why does his eyes always seem to draw me in..
"I'm not babysitting you tami, I just don't want anything to happen to you.. so please just do what I say and stay by my side okay.." he said softly causing me to nod in understanding.
"That's a good girl" he said softly tapping my cheeks a smile on my face snapping me out of my Derin trance.
"C'mon.." he said holding my hand as he led me back into the party. We reached a place in the house which seemed to be the VIP spot because most people that sat there looked important and pretty popular. Naomi sat there giggling as she smoked what seemed to be shisha.
Naomi smoked?! And derin's cool about it?..
She looked really beautiful wearing a black body con mini dress with tiny straps, a black long wig on her head with devil headbands. Her makeup making mad sense. Our eyes met and she gave me a look of disgust, her eyes noticing my entwined hand with derin's before she looked away with a frown on her face continuing to smoke.
I watched Derin greet and mingle with some of his friends before he went to sit next to Naomi, dragging me to sit right next to him. I felt really out of place with this people as I wondered how Derin knew them and realized that I might not know much about my own best friend. The music still played loudly as I wondered how Kemi was faring.
I brought out my phone about to text her when I felt the presence of someone right in front of me. I looked up to see a boy standing right in front of me giving me a sly smirk. He wasn't that good looking, average height but seemed obsessed with designer brands because his entire look was branded with Gucci. A black sunglass draped ontop of his small head.
"Hello there.." he greeted
"Uh.. hi?" I replied
"I'm Seyi, but my friends call me Amos." He said bringing his hand out for a shake.
"Uhm tami.." I answered shaking his hand when I felt him stroke it shamelessly immediately creeping me out as I removed my hand from his.
"I haven't really seen you around, do you go to MD tutorial academy?" He asked
"Yes why?" I asked
"Nothing.. just have a couple of friends there and was wondering why I haven't seen you around" he explained.
"Oh okay.." I subtly said.
Derin seemed to finally notice that I was talking to someone, his expression turning into a hard frown as he butted into our conversation.
"Seyi, stop bugging her and go somewhere else" he said sounding a bit possessive.
"Chillax bro, I was just getting to know her" he said in mock surrender.
"And you've met her now beat it!" Derin said his tone surprising me. He sounded legit mad that Seyi was talking to me, he and Seyi seemed to communicate with their eyes the atmosphere really tense as I wondered if they were going to fight before Seyi bursted into laughter confusing me.
"She's the one isn't she?" He asked Derin causing Derin to roll his eyes and look away.
Uhm.. what just happened?
"It's alright tami, that's just how he reacts whenever I hit on a girl that he likes." Amos said giving me a teasing smile.
Derin likes me? He must be confused or something.
"I'm derin's best friend.. I've known him since secondary school" he introduced with a smile causing my eyes to widen in recognition.
He was that Amos?! Wow.. Derin has mentioned him a couple of times but I've never actually met him. Derin said they both met in JSS1 when they both newly got admitted into the boarding school and have been close ever since then. I thought he stayed in Abuja, I'm very surprised that he's actually from Lagos.
"Wow, I've heard about you.." I said giving him a smile.
"Yeah.. same here. I'm sorry about my behavior though, I honestly was just playing around to tick him off" he gestured to Derin with a smirk on his face.
"It's alright, apology accepted" I said
"Cool, you're pretty chill though. Have fun tami" he said giving me a wink and walking off.
Well that was weird.
I started feeling really thirsty, looking for something to drink. I found a cup filled with what seemed to be like water. I smelled it to be sure and it didn't give off a strong scent, I decided to drink it all trying to quench my taste. Derin saw me drinking from the cup his eyes looking at me in worry as he wondered what it was I drinking collecting it from me.
"Relax Derin, it's just water"I said snorting starting to feel really light headed.
Uhn what was happening to me?..
The room started spinning and I couldn't feel my legs. Am I drugged?.. I felt someone shake me harshly turning to look at Derin who seemed to say something in worry.
I giggled softly leaning in to his attractive face, his eyes pulling me in as I stared in awe loving every second of it. "Derinnnn, stop shaking me" I slurred tiredly.
"Tami are you alright?" He asked in concern
"Yeah.." I slurred starting to get my senses.
I watched him pick up the cup bringing it close to his nose, his face in a frown. " What was in this cup guys?" He asked his friends..
"Vodka bro" one of them answered
"Shit!" He said causing me to giggle
"Derin just said a bad word!" I said pointing at him causing his friends to laugh and Derin to look at me incredulously.
"Tami you're high.." Derin said trying to steady me.
"And you're low!" I said standing up and wobbling on my legs as I felt Derin hold me from the side.
I liked having him this close to me.. I liked it A lot.
"Derin I want to pee" I whispered into his ears causing him to chuckle.
"C'mon I'll help you to the toilet.." he said dragging me away from his friends and glaring girlfriend.
We entered a random bedroom as I ran into the toilet to pee, I came out staggering the room still spinning as I felt Derin hold me towards his body. "Be careful Tami" he said in concern.
I started feeling really hot, pulling off the denim jacket leaving me in just my tube top. His eyes immediately widened in surprise as he stared straight at my chest causing me to giggle softly. I wobbled on my feet before landing straight on the bed as I watched Derin lean on the wall watching me.
"I told you not to drink anything suspicious tami" he scolded
"I didn't drink Derin, I promise" I said softly sitting up on the bed as I stared at him.
The atmosphere in the room suddenly shifted as we stared at each other and before I knew it he was walking towards me his eyes not leaving mine our breathing really shallow, as I wondered what it was that he wanted to do.
He leaned in causing me to lean back, this continued and before I knew it I was lying on the bed with him hovering over me. I was lost in his eyes, loving the way they sparkled in the dark before I heard him speak his fingers trailing patterns on my neck line his face really close to mine.
"Did you wear this for me tami?" He asked softly slowly moving his finger downward.. knocking the breath out of me.
"What makes you think I did?" I whispered back.
"Because baby, you've been doing things that has been getting my attention all night.." he whispered back our lips not far apart..
Just a little bit more.. kiss me damnit!
His eyes slowly went to my lips as I slowly waited for him to kiss me, his fingers trailing slowly towards the space between my breasts. I closed my eyes the sexual tension frustrating me as I waited to feel his lips against mine when I felt him redraw from me lifting himself from my body and before I knew it I heard the door close causing me to open my eyes not finding him anymore.

Wow.. that was just really intense..
This particular scene has actually happened to me, well not as intense as this but I remember him about to kiss me and then he completely redrew and walked out of the room leaving me breathless and confused!
That day I was so confused as hell walking into his living room wondering what the hell just almost happened between us only to find him playing video games like nothing ever happened.
Boyssss can be hella confusing at times.
