Carlos had just gotten back from taking willow to her play date and they were planning to go and run some errands while she was there until there was a knock on the door
"I'll get it ." Carlos said as Tk sat on the floor with Bailey playing with her " Owen ." Carlos said " hey Carlos is Tk here ?" Owen said " Tk your dads here ." Carlos said opening the door Tk got off the floor Bailey following him to the door " come in ." Tk said making his way to the couch Carlos closed the door behind Owen joining Tk on the couch " is willow here I wanted to talk to her to ." Owen said " she's at a friends ." Carlos said as he rubbed Tk's hand
"Oh I see .." Owen said sitting on the couch " I'm sorry to both of your about last night .." Owen said "Tk you were right I wasn't their like I should have been when you were a kid -" Owen said " do you want me to go ?" Carlos said asking tk Tk gently shook his head "and your right if it wasn't for your mom - I would be in a casket right now .. which is why it makes this next part even harder ." Owen said it was in that moment Tk knew something was seriously wrong " mg cancers back but it's nothing that immune therapy , surgery , or a dog can fix ." Owen said Carlos immediately brought his hand around Tk's waist he saw how the expression changed on Tk's face " they gave me 6 months and that's if I'm lucky I turned captain ship over to Judd this morning and took a leave of absence Tk felt like he should be grateful when his mother passed he didn't get to say goodbye but it didn't take the sting away I want you to have my power of attorney Tk I trust you most -." His dad said but Tk cut him off " dad -." Tk said on the verge of crying Carlos held him tight and close " I trust you most and I know your going to do what's right for me when it's right . The doctors gave me a shot it's in the cabinet next to the fridge when the time comes you can administer it so I go peacefully." Owen said now a single tear coming down Tk's face " over the next month of two I will loose my ability to do the things I can do now such as walking and medicating myself .." Owen said " I knew this was going to take me Tk I think deep down you did to .." Owen said moving closer to Tk " I don't want you to be sad I'll always be here watching over you and with your mother -" Owen said as tears built up in Tk's eyes Tk got up and headed upstairs " Tk -" Owen said " I'll go talk to him .." Carlos said " Carlos ?" Owen said "yeah?" Carlos said " take care of him please give me updates ." Owen said " of course ."
After Owen left Carlos came upstairs "baby .." Carlos said sitting on the bed next to him " the cough he had it the other day at the station I should have checked him out I didn't and I should have known ." Tk said "God I can't even do my job correctly." Tk said biting his lip "your job isn't to be suspicious your jobs to help people who need help a simple cough sometimes is just a simple cough." Carlos said " he's gonna die and now it gonna be on my hands .." Tk said a few tears falling from his eyes " your gonna let him go in peace your not killing him Tk your letting his go in peace ." Carlos said " both of them will be gone .." Tk said " both of them helped me all my life and I can't help any of them I should be the one -." Tk said as Carlos cut him off " no you shouldn't be okay don't say that ." Carlos said Carlos pulled the younger man in for a hug
