"You can love someone and let them go ." Gwynn had always said to tk it was the day of Gwynn's funeral

Today was going to hurt it was going to hurt for tk to see his mom lowered into the ground and covered with dirt it was going to hurt to know that she was gone it was gonna hurt to know that his little brother is without a mom but he was going to make it through he had his dad and Carlos by his side along with Enzo his stepfather and his 126 families back at home tk was gonna be okay it was going to take time but he would be eventually

"You don't have to do this son .." Owen said rubbing his son's shoulder " I need to do this nom would want me to .." tk said as he got up he walked to the podium he fixed his mic

"As most of you know I didn't get to say goodbye to my mom .. and I was actually not going to come up here and speak but my dad said that it would be good for me to Say what I would have said to her If I'd known what was to come ." Tk said taking a deep breath " my mom was one of the nicest people you could know she loved her family more than words , she loved to paint ,cook ." Tk said " she even helped me get into rehab ... I am the person I am today because of her she taught me a lot of things and I wish she was still around to teach me a lot more ." Tk said wiping his eyes " she was the most caring person when I got shot she wasted no time getting on a plane to come down and help even thought my dad said he got it he was by my dads side when he was sick and she was the first person to bring you a bowl of soup when you got the slightest cough ." Tk said as everyone in the crowd gave a small laugh "my mom always told me that you can still love someone and let them go .."tk said tears coming down his cheeks he looked as Gwynn's casket that was beside him "so mom as hard as it is I love you ." Tk stopped pausing as he cried " I love you and I always will and I'm letting you go and you will always be in my heart and on my mind but I need to let you go ..." tk said walking over to his mom's casket placing a kiss on it " I love you mom .." tk said placing a rose on top

Carlos gave him a hug when he got back to his seat "we're proud of you tk .." Owen said, " you okay ?" Carlos asked, " I will be ." Tk said wiping his tears

After the ceremony all her friends and co-workers left leaving just tk, Owen, Carlos, Enzo, and some of Gwynn's close friends Gwynn's wish was that she wanted her family and only certain close friends to burry her so that's what they did her casket was lowered into the ground and they all had shovels " you sure you wanna help with this ?" Owen asked, " it's what she wanted ." Tk said

Once Gwynn was buried tk stayed for about an hour after everyone but Carlos and Owen had left tk rested his head on Carlos's shoulder " she would be proud of you ." Owen said, " I hope ." Tk said tk taking a deep breath " I'm ready ." Tk said standing up " you sure babe ." Carlos said, " yeah can I have a minute alone with her ?" Tk said looking at them both " Take as long as you need ." They said as Carlos kissed tk and Owen patted him on the shoulder

" I did it, mom ." Tk said, " I fought as you told me to ." Tk said, " I'm gonna look after Leo for you, and like I said Enzo's a good dad so you don't have much to worry about." Tk said " If I'm being honest I don't want to leave .." tk said " I would stay here for hours just talking to you but you wouldn't want that .." tk said swallowing hard "like you taught me mom I love you and I'm letting you go ." Tk said wiping his eyes tk turned around walking away from the grave wiping his face

As tk packed to go home he folded his purple hoodie as he remembered who it came from
