"you know it's been a minute since you've gotten this kinda shit..." zarek stared at his drug dealer before rolling his eyes.
"mane it's just for right now, i'm not finna stay on it like before..." he replied.
but honestly he didn't know wether or not, he was gonna get stuck on it.
when zarek was younger he didn't have the best childhood for say...certain shit happened and he didn't know how to tell anyone or stop it.
he had nightmares for the longest time, parents took him to therapy but it didn't seemed to work.
he never told the truth about what was truly wrong with him, he felt ashamed and wanted to keep it to himself.
the drug dealer shook his head before handing zarek the xanax, oxy, and powder.
"this my last time selling it to you..." the drug dealer said before taking a puff from his cigar.
zarek nodded then walked out the house, once he got to the car he grabbed three xanax out the bag and grabbed his double cup of lean.
he threw the pills in his mouth then swallowed them, many people have different ways to deal with trauma...
zarek addiction started during the beginning of highschool, hanging with the wrong crowd got him into some trouble...
his parents did their best to help him get clean, and it worked until now...until the nightmares started coming back he felt his trauma was haunting him.
zarek felt his high starting to sit in as he drove back home, it was 2:56pm.
he decided not to go to school today, he pulled up in the driveway and felt his teeth grind together.
"fuck..." he mumbled to himself as he got out the car.
he walked up to the door, soon as he opened it his mama was on the couch.
"so it's fuck school huh???" demon asked looking over at him.
"nah mama...i just ain't go today." he said tryna walk past her.
"zarek, c'mere." demon said but he ignored her and kept walking to his room.
"oh this lil nigga finna make me kill him.." she mumbled before getting up.
she walked up to his room and opened the door,"zarek...you doing that shit again??" she asked and he shook his head no.
"look me in my face and tell me no.." zarek slowly looked up at her.
"i only did it one time..." he said, which was a complete lie.
"zarek....is there something more you need to tell me, tell us i feel there's more to the story." she said and zarek shrugged.
some of zarek's memories were repressed due to how traumatic it was for his age.
so he couldn't completely remember everything but a few things, which made the nightmares even worse.
"mama can you just leave me alone??" he asked quietly.
"you sure you gonna be good?? " she asked and he nodded his head.
"zarek empty your pockets..." she sighed as he started pulling the pills and powder out of them.
"zarek...what the fuck, this looks like it's finna be multiple times...did you not learn from last time?" she asked as she picked up the drugs.
he didn't say anything but sat on the edge of his bed,"zarek i love you man...you my only son and i don't want you out here fucked up on this shit, you gotta understand." demon said to him but everything was going through one ear and out the each.
zarek was already under the influence, which made him not give a fuck about anybody or anything.
demon sighed before walking out his room,"i love you too..." he mumbled to himself.

zakiya stepped into her house with all the boys behind her,"i really don't like y'all...except amory." she said and they rolled their eyes.
"girl we here for zarek fuck you, tell him to bring his ass down here." elijah said before sitting on the couch.
zakiya walked upstairs and amory followed behind her, she knocked on zarek's door no answer.
she knocked again and the door swung open,"the fuck you want??" he asked and zakiya scrunched up her face.
"bitch— ouuu zarek i swear. yo friends downstairs want you." she said then turned on her heels to head to her room.
zarek watched as amory stared at him for a few seconds then amory started behind zakiya,"damn no hey.." zarek said and amory shrugged.
"you gotta mouth too..." amory mumbled.
zarek grabbed his hand pulling him into the room before closing the door,"zarek-"
"listen i wanna say i'm sorry for how i've been acting..." zarek said.
zarek knew when he was under the influence of shit, he could hurt the ones he loved and cared for...
but he didn't wanna do that with amory, he truly wanted amory.
or at least he wanted to try not to.
"okay..." amory mumbled then looked up zarek.
"can you tell me what's been wrong with you??" amory asked and zarek tensed up.
"i'm just not in a good mental space right now..." zarek mumbled and his eyes landed on the bottle of pills sticking out his nightstand.
please don't look over there, zarek thought to himself.
"oh...do you want me to give you space or something??" amory mumbled ready to walk out zarek's room.
"listen you staying the night or no??" zarek asked and blinked his eyes a few times.
he was currently coming down from his high, the part he hated...
"i don't know yet..."
"lemme know what you do, you stay the night we can stay in my room and watch a movie...if you don't i'll come over to your house and we'll watch a movie there, okay??" zarek suggested and amory only nodded his head.
"i'm finna go and see what the boys want..." he said then kissed amory's forehead.
"bitch i wanna real kiss." amory pouted and zarek laughed before kissing him.
"watch yo mouth lil nigga." zarek said then popped amory's lip.
"bye." amory said then walked to zakiya's room.
"y'all good??" zakiya asked and amory nodded his head.
zarek of course had back up pills and powder...he knew sooner or later his parents would catch on.
he went into the bathroom and laid out some power then threw a few pills in his mouth.
he grabbed a cup of water and used it to swallow the pills, then stared down at the powder.
he thought for a minute then dusted it off the sink top.
"not today..." he mumbled to himself then walked out his room and stumbled downstairs to the living room.
"damn nigga you just say fuck us and school." tyheem said looking back at zarek.
zarek shrugged before sitting on the couch,"throw me a controller." he told tyler who threw him one.
he turned it on and connected it to the ps5,"you coming to school tomorrow??" tyheem asked as they started playing COD.
"fasho..." zarek said barely above a whisper.
"you talking quiet nigga huh??" tyheem said and zarek smacked his lips.
"i said f-fasho." zarek said a lil louder, his high was rising again except he felt it way faster.
"ight.." tyheem said ignoring the stutter.
they never knew about zarek and his drug problems...hell zarek's own sister didn't even know.
zarek made his parents keep it only between them, and they decided to do that since it was his business and not everyone else's.
one thing he appreciated them for, they weren't quick to run and tell family members everything going on in their personal life.

amory let zarek fall asleep on top of him, amory scrolled on tiktok while zarek was fast asleep.
he ended up staying the night and like zarek said they watched a movie, then he fell asleep soon after.
as amory was distracted in his phone zarek started moving around,"hello??" amory mumbled looking down at him.
he noticed zarek fidgeting but could tell he was still asleep,"n-no...i'm sorry..." zarek mumbled and his eyes seemed to shut tighter.
amory gently shook his shoulder but it didn't work,"zarek..." he called his name and zarek eyes slowly opened.
"fuck...my bad.." zarek mumbled then rolled onto the bed and rubbed his eyes.
"you good what-" amory didn't finish his sentence once zarek got up.
he watched him grab something from his dresser then walked into the bathroom and shut the door.
amory sat on the side of his bed kicking his legs when his curiosity was getting the best of him, he slowly got up and made his way to the drawer.
he opened it and didn't see anything but clothes until he noticed a ziplock bag under a shirt.
he slowly moved the shirt over and stared at the powder in the bag, he covered it back then noticed a few free pills in the corner of the drawer.
he picked one up and stared at it but he didn't noticed zarek had walked out the bathroom and was quietly looking at him.
"having fun going through my shit??" zarek's voice scared him making him jump.
"umm...i- i was just looking for a shirt to wear..." amory rushed out.
"you already got one on??" zarek said titling his head to the side.
"and this.." he snatched the pill out amory's hand.
"don't help your case." he said then slammed his drawer back shut.
"stay out my shit amory.." he said before climbing back into his bed.
amory didn't say anything as he started looking around for his clothes,"where you finna go?" zarek asked amory.
"home..."
"at this time of night? i can take you in the morning." zarek said and amory didn't reply as he started putting on his pants.
"i'll find a ride." amory mumbled grabbing his shoes.
zarek groaned before getting up,"i said i'll take you in the fuckin morning." he said grabbing amory's shoes out his hands.
amory looked up at him with watery eyes,"zarek..was that-" zarek cut him off.
"this why ion like people going through my shit now, start worrying about stuff that ain't got nun to do with you." zarek said handing amory's his shoes back.
"i'll take you home now don't even worry about it." zarek said grabbing his keys.
amory swallowed the lump in his throat and wiped away the stray tear,"i just wanna make sure you good..." amory mumbled.
"last time i checked i was still living..." zarek said and amory didn't reply.
"oh..." zarek mumbled then brushed past him.
