While Damon broke into his mother's coffin and Annabelle continued to stare down at her phone as if she was silently demanding that Kol give into her wishes of actually getting back to her, Kai said from the entrance to the Salvatore crypt, "Can't believe Bonnie made it out." After Damon tossed the broken lock aside, Kai said, "Actually, I can. She's plucky."
After glancing over at Annabelle, who was still staring down at her phone and not bothering to cast a glance at either of the two men she was standing with, Kai asked Damon, "Hey, do you need help?" With a tilt of his head, Kai said to him, "Oh, before you answer that, I'd rather not. I just keep experiencing these pangs of guilt watching you. Feelings are hard."
While Annabelle only rolled her eyes in response, Damon replied, "So is the end of this crowbar."
Without even bothering to glance up from her phone, Annabelle said to Damon with a sigh, "Do that, and I will make you wish that you had stayed dead and you and your little friends hadn't manipulated Liv Parker into helping bring you all back to life before the Other Side's collapse."
While Damon only sighed to himself in response, Kai said to him, "I'm just saying, digging up Mommy's grave? It's dark, even for me. And totally unnecessary." After taking yet another step forward, he said, "Damon, Bonnie saw her alive in a 1903 prison world. It's on camera. You want to watch it again?"
After ripping the camera out of Kai's hands, Damon told him, "My mother died of consumption in 1858. We did not go to the trouble of moving this thing to the family crypt only to find out that she's not even in here."
With a sigh, Annabelle slowly made her way over towards where Kai was standing, while making a point of shoving her phone into her pocket.
After glancing over at Annabelle, who looked rather annoyed at this given moment, Kai asked Damon, "Oh, so you just-you just called us here because you needed friends?"
Damon replied, "Even if the world was about to end, I would never in my life consider Annabelle Mikaelson, the one vampire that's made my life and the lives of everyone in Mystic Falls a living hell, a friend."
After chuckling to himself in response, Kai said to him, "You know, you wanted to know if it was possible for her to exist in another prison world. To which I responded yes, to which you responded with denial."
With a sigh, Damon told him, "Whatever or whoever is on that tape— It's not her."
Kai asked him, "Then who is it?"
Damon replied, "I don't know. A ghost? Maybe she has an evil Gemini twin."
With a grin on his face, Kai said to himself, "Nice."
While Annabelle only rolled her eyes in response and swatted Kai's arm away from above her head, Damon told them, "If my mother was imprisoned in 1903, she'd be in her seventies."
After plastering a grin on his face and staring down at Annabelle with his eyebrows raised, Kai replied as he brought his attention over to Damon, "Not if she were like you."
As he quickly turned to look over at Kai, Damon said, "I know my mother. She's not a vampire. She is not in a prison world. She died of consumption in 1858."
While Annabelle only sighed to herself with a roll of her eyes, to which Kai responded with a mere raise of his eyebrows, Damon tossed the crowbar aside and silently stared at the closed coffin before looking over at Kai, who asked him, "Uh, if you're so sure of that, why haven't you opened the coffin yet?"
With a shrug of her shoulders, Annabelle replied, "It's probably because he's in denial towards the fact of his mother actually being a vampire."
Not long after she said that, Damon quickly turned his head to look over at Annabelle with narrowed eyes before just as quickly looking away from her when he saw the look she was giving him and the way her head was tilted to the side.
Then Damon threw the lid off of the coffin, which resulted in Kai taking a step forward and Annabelle raising her eyebrows to herself before Kai said to Damon, "Congratulations. Everything you know about your mom is wrong."
Then Kai simply patted Damon on the shoulder before he walked back out of the crypt with Annabelle close behind him, which left Damon to continue to stare inside of the coffin that his mother was supposed to be lying inside of.

Damon asked into the phone, "So Saint Caroline keeps her halo even with no humanity?"
Stefan replied, "Yeah, until she snaps and strangles somebody with it.""
Damon said to him, "Well, even if she does..." After turning his head to see Kai staring over at him with a smile on his face and Annabelle, who currently was consuming blood from the wrist of a young woman she'd compelled into remaining quiet, Damon slowly turned away from the two of them and said into the phone, "... it could be good for her. You know, blow off some steam. Thin the herd. It's getting awfully crowded around her."
Stefan started to say to him, "Damon, if she kills somebody—"
Damon replied, "It's not your fault, Stefan. By the time you figured out how you felt about her, it was too late. She made her choice."
Stefan said to him, "Just do me a favor. Check around Mystic Falls. See if anybody's missing."
In turn, Damon said to him, "Will do, brother." After ending the call, he said to himself, "A little later."
After Damon turned his head to look over at both Kai and Annabelle, Kai said to him, "Yeah. Why tell your brother your mother's still alive?" As he went to walk around the couch, he said to Damon, "Oh, but I get it. Mom's in a prison world and therefore an evil psychopath."
After stopping just beside the couch, Kai said, "Don't wanna ruin little bro's perfect mommy memory."
While Kai went to take a sip out of the glass he was holding, Damon replied, "I'll tell him soon as I know the truth."
In turn, Kai said as he went to sit beside Annabelle, "Truth."
Damon told him, "Which is why you're still here. Your sister sent me and Elena back to 1994. You can send me back to 1903."
With a wave of his hand, Kai replied, "Technically, yes. I am able to do that." After Damon nodded his head in response, Kai told him, "But I'll need the Ascendant for the 1903 prison world."
Damon said to him, "Oh, as the newly elected president of the Gemini freaks, I assume you know where to get it." When Kai only waved his hand in response, Damon said to him, "So get it."
In turn, Kai said to him, "It's my pleasure."
When Kai did nothing more but take another sip from his glass, Damon said to him, "You want something. Shocker." After sitting on the arm of the couch opposite of Kai and Annabelle, he said, "Alright."
After leaning forward on the couch, Kai told him, "Well, ever since you told me Bonnie was back, I, uh, I can't stop thinking about her." While Annabelle only rolled her eyes in response, Kai said, "Alright, what I did. How she is. It's annoying, really."
After sighing to himself, Kai said to Damon, "Look. I need to see her. I need to apologize. And you're gonna make that happen."
The most Annabelle did was let out a sigh as she rolled her eyes, which got Kai to look over at her and ask her, "What the hell is your problem?"
Annabelle replied, "You mean aside from the fact that you want to apologize to Bonnie Bennett of all people?" When Kai only waved his hand in response, Annabelle told him, "I unfortunately understand that you wish to apologize to her, but if you're going to do that, then I'm going to have to be elsewhere because I know the moment I lay eyes on her, I am going to kill her for what she did the last time I saw her. So, if you need me for something that doesn't involve you apologizing to that bloody witch, give me a call. If not, then don't bother. I don't want to be anywhere near her."
The most Kai did was silently stare at Annabelle before blinking when she suddenly disappeared in front of him.
After nodding to himself, Kai said, "Well, she took that a lot easier than I thought she would." Then he turned his attention over towards the glass he was holding before he said, "Huh."

After the front door to the Salvatore Boardinghouse had opened and Kai had waved his hand, which resulted in Annabelle rolling her eyes and pushing Kai into the home for the Salvatore brothers, Damon said to him, "I'm not in the mood for the preamble. Just tell me why my mom's stuck in 1903."
After making his way down the little bit of stairs that led him towards where Damon was seated, Kai told him, "You're not bringing your mom back."
As he turned to look over at Kai, Damon replied, "That's odd. Sounds like you just asked me to kill you."
While Annabelle only tilted her head in response with narrowed eyes, Kai said to him, "You requested a truncated version, so I respectfully jumped to the end."
After standing up from his chair, Damon asked him, "Why aren't we bringing her back?"
Kai told him, "Because there are only two prison worlds in existence. Mine, created in 1994. And the one created in 1903 for the sole purpose of locking up your mom and her closet full of crazy pants."
It wasn't until after Damon had sped towards Kai and pinned him against the wall that Annabelle quickly made her way over towards Damon and painfully twisted his arms behind his back and then knocked him onto the floor before forcefully kicking him towards the other side of the room.
With a groan, Damon started to stand up as he said to Kai, "You said we'd get her back."
While Damon quickly made his way over towards Kai and Annabelle, Kai replied, "I'm telling you, as a semi-sane person, you really don't want that."
Damon retorted, "And I'm telling you, as a vampire who eats people, you really don't want to piss people off."
As soon as Damon reached Annabelle and tried his hardest to get his way past the unstable Original, Kai said to him, "I'm trying to save your life."
Damon yelled, "Tell me how to get her back!"
Just as Annabelle was about to snap Damon's neck, Kai told him, "Your mom's a Ripper, okay? She's a Ripper." After Damon finally stopped fighting against Annabelle and Kai had moved away from the wall, Kai said, "She turned in 1858. Faked her death. Went to Europe, where she went a little nuts."
Damon replied, "No."
Kai said to him, "Bodies piled up. She moved. Killed some more until she had to move again." While Damon only shook his head in response, Kai said, "They think three-thousand in total."
Damon said to him, "That's enough."
Kai told him, "Yeah, for some reason my coven made it their duty to stop her. They cut her off in the New York harbor before she could tear through Manhattan. Granted, by the time they got to the ship, they found everybody dead. Was so gruesome they burned it there at the harbor."
In turn, Damon yelled, "I said that's enough!"
After looking between Annabelle and Damon, both of whom were tense at that very moment, Kai said, "I guess I'll just show myself out."
It wasn't until Kai had actually made it to the front door that Annabelle quickly walked after him and left Damon to fall onto the floor with a groan as he processed all the information that Kai had just given him.
