As soon as both Kol and Davina were finished with saying their incantation, Davina said, "It's finished, but I'm worried it's not enough to protect Cami's body from Esther's magic."
Kol replied, "I might know a way to distract you from your troubled mind."
It was then that Marcel said to Kol, "You can take this seriously, or I can lock you in a coffin like your brother Finn, if you prefer."
After glancing over at Annabelle, who was slowly making her way over towards Marcel with her head tilted to the side and her eyes narrowed, Kol said to him, "Oh, no, I'd prefer you to bugger off. This spell needs time to cook in peace."
Marcel replied, "Cami doesn't have time. Esther can jump anybody into her body right now."
Kol retorted, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, but she's not gonna jump anybody. She's gonna jump Rebekah, who just happens to be miles away. But fair dues, Marcel. I think I'd be a bit testy too if my old ex was about to jump into my new ex. I think that would be a bit, uh—"
It was then that Cami asked him as she started to walk towards them, "Awkward?"
With a tilt of his head, Kol said, "I was gonna say kinky, but—"
As soon as Marcel sped towards Kol and grabbed him by the front of his shirt, Annabelle sped towards Marcel and forcefully removed his hands from Kol and tossed him to the other side of the compound.
While Kol simply smirked to himself and fixed the front of his shirt as Annabelle stepped in front of him with her back facing her brother, Marcel quickly got back up and started to make his way over towards the Mikaelson siblings.
Just as he was about to reach Annabelle, he suddenly stopped walking when Cami said to him, "I appreciate the chivalry, Marcel, but he'll have an easier time protecting me if he's alive."
After looking away from Annabelle, who was now staring up at him with her veins on display and her hands clenched into fists, Marcel said to Kol, "Keep working."
While Annabelle made a point of watching with narrowed eyes as Marcel quickly walked away from the three of them with Cami close behind him, Davina asked Kol, "What is it with you two?"
Kol said to her, "It gets a bit old playing odd man out in my own family." As he went to sit down, he said, "Now, Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, they were always a party of three. No room for me at the table. Always seemed to be room for Marcel."
Then he glanced over at Annabelle, who was starting to pace around the inside of the compound, before he said, "And as for Annabelle? The only reason they ever made room for her was because they pitied her and knew that if they didn't involve her in any of their daily activities that she would resort to either killing whoever she fancied or would do something that would gain the attention of Mikael, which was something none of us wanted. If it weren't for her blacking out and killing her husband and children or the matter of her being practically tortured by our parents at a young age, they probably wouldn't have even batted an eye in her direction. And if that were the case, then the only person she would have to rely on would be me, seeing as how we're twins and all. I mean, granted, between the two of us, she is the older one, but it doesn't change the fact that she needed more protection than I ever did. Even now, she still needs it a bit more than anyone else, as far as I'm concerned." It wasn't until after Annabelle had sped out of the compound and went in the opposite direction that Cami and Marcel had gone in that Kol looked back at Davina and asked her, "You know that diamond? The one that I showed you?"
In turn, Davina said to him, "Mm-hmm."
Kol told her, "Well, that was the baby version. The one that we need to do the dagger spell, well, it has to be a lot bigger. A hundred years ago, I had it in my hand. Then Marcel ratted me out to Klaus, and they took it. He probably bloody well kept it."
Davina replied, "So let's steal it back." After she took a step closer to him, she said, "It's a good chance to snoop."
With a wave of his hand, Kol said to her, "It's like you're in my mind, Davina Claire."

With an eyebrow raised, Annabelle looked over at Kol, who yelled as he started to walk back into the compound, "Done! As per request... Ms. Angelica Barker, good cheekbones... and a tummy you can bounce a quarter off. She will be Rebekah's new host body. Instead of Cami."
Davina asked him, "Who's Angelica Barker?"
Marcel told her, "Uh, one of my vampire potentials. Had to turn her down. She was too lost."
Cami asked him, "Does she know what's about to happen to her?"
Kol replied, "It's better when they don't know, love."
In turn, Marcel said to Cami, "Hopefully... we won't have to use her."
Kol replied, "Hopefully. But my mother is a wily and vindictive woman." Then he turned to Marcel and said to him, "Which is why I've got to ask something else of you."
Marcel told him, "You're already getting the diamond."
Kol said to him, "Which I'm thrilled about. But in order for me to help you, I need access to my mother's hourglass, which is in the lycée. With my mother."
Marcel replied, "So?"
Kol told him, "Well, I haven't been back in a while. And the only way she won't suspect me is if I bring back the thing I was sent to find?"
Marcel asked him, "And that thing is?"
Kol said to him, "The white oak stake."
Marcel replied, "Are you out of your mind?"
It was then that Davina said to Kol, "Kaleb."
While Annabelle simply raised her eyebrows in response, Kol told them, "Look, it's the only way she's gonna trust me. She doesn't want to kill them. She just wants to make sure that the weapon doesn't fall in the wrong hands." While Marcel only shook his head in response, Kol said to him, "I swear, soon as she's gone, I'll give it right back to Klaus."
With a nod of his head, Marcel replied, "Like hell you will. Deal's off."
It was then that they heard Klaus say, "Kol."
As soon as Annabelle heard the sound of Klaus's voice, she quickly sped towards Kol and made a point of standing in front of him, which got Davina to silently eye the unstable Original with furrowed eyebrows as Klaus said to Kol, "Whatever grudges you hold against me, we are doing this for the good of our family. Do I have your word that for once you will honor that?"
With a nod of his head, Kol said to him, "You have my word, Nik. I swear on the fate of us all."
A couple of seconds after Kol said that, Klaus told him, "I'll get the stake."

As she went to flip the hourglass upside down, Davina said to Cami, "Kaleb will link this hourglass to Esther's. Ours will mirror hers."
Then Marcel told Cami, "When the last sand falls, Esther will try to jump her into you."
Then Davina said to her, "That's when I'll redirect the spell from you to Esther. It's meant to jam the signal just long enough to keep that kind of magic from working against anyone."
Cami replied, "If it works."
Marcel said to her, "It'll work. When Rebekah attacks, Esther won't be able to jump her into you or herself anywhere else."
Cami asked them, "And we're sure Kaleb is onboard?"
After glancing over at Annabelle, who was silently watching them with narrowed eyes, Marcel told Cami with a shake of his head, "He's onboard. He's a thief and a liar, but like Elijah, he doesn't give his word lightly."

With her arms crossed over her chest and a blank look on her face, Annabelle looked between Cami and Rebekah's bodies as Davina said, "Cami's not awake yet, either."
As he entered the compound, Marcel told them, "When she's up, we need to get her out of the Quarter. She's not safe here. Somebody busted Finn out."
It was then that Klaus told them, "My mother is using Mikael to do her dirty work now."
While Annabelle looked over at Klaus with furrowed eyebrows and a frown on her face, Cami awoke with a gasp, which got Klaus to start to make his way over towards her before he said, "Camille?"
After a couple seconds of silence, which involved Cami still gasping for breath, Cami finally said to him, "I suddenly love that stupid name."
While Davina quickly wrapped her arms around Cami, Klaus, Annabelle and Marcel turned their attention over towards Rebekah, who had yet to awaken.
After Marcel knelt beside Rebekah and lightly brushed his fingers across the side of her face, Klaus told him, "I couldn't stop the spell."
As Klaus went to turn his back on them, Marcel said to him, "Please tell me that your mother's dead."
Klaus replied, "Rebekah and I took extra precautions. Esther is exactly where she needs to be."

After looking over at Annabelle, who was silently staring down at Rebekah's body, Kol held the white stake out towards Klaus before he said with a nod of his head, "A promise is a promise."
As soon as Klaus grabbed the stake and brought his arm back to his own side, Kol made a point of wrapping an arm around Annabelle and pulling her close to him, which allowed her to rest her head on his arm, while she continued to stare down at Annabelle.
And unbeknownst to Annabelle, whilst she continued to stare down at Rebekah's body, Kol had already taken her phone out of her back pocket and looked to see two words sent in a single text message, which Annabelle had received earlier in the day.
And the two very words being 'it's time'.
And judging by the previous texts sent between Annabelle and her contact, it was no surprise to him that was going to leave New Orleans that very night and head straight to Mystic Falls for some unfinished business she had with Dorothy Sullivan, the very witch that had done Annabelle a favor and ensured that Elena and her friends died a slowly and nasty death due to the hex that was placed on them for the parts they played in the deaths of her two brothers, Finn and Kol, who were killed a year ago by Elena and her friends.
