"Two weeks at dads house" Sugar complained, carrying our bags
"It'll be okay, it's just so he can sort everything out before... you know" I said sadly, carrying our little girl in my arms.
"I know, Dmitri come on" he called, as Dmitri wandered up the drive
"Rowan?" I called out, walking into the foyer
"He's in his study" Rose said, I nodded, heading into the living room where Alex and Dola sat.
I still couldn't believe Rose was living here again.
I know it was for Kamala's benefit given Rowan's... condition
But it was hard to stomach. That Rowan wasn't going to be around for much longer.
"Hey Alex" I said
"Hey Viv, can I have a hold?" He asked
"Sure" I said, handing Aleandra over to him
"Aren't you getting big?" He asked
"Yeah, she's a handful" I chuckled
"Are the others here yet?" Sugar asked
"No, they're getting here later, but the girls arrived a few hours ago" he said
"Fuck" I cursed
"Fuck" sugar said at the same time.
The 'girls' were Anastasia and Dinara Sokolov.
Two women who are very close to Rowan
Well... Anastasia is anyway
Her and her husband were very close to Rowan and Sugar's mother.
But that meant that Lucian and Alex had to put up with their daughter... Dinara
She wasn't a... bad kid. I guess
But she had obtained a rather unhealthy infatuation with Sugar
One that came to a blow when she heard about me and Lucian being together.
And we were adamant to avoid her as much as we could
She was crazy
I know that's horrible to say. But her obsession with Lucian as kids was... weird to say the least.
"Yeah, Dinara's asked about you around... 20 times now?" He said, looking to Dola
"More like 50" she chuckled
"Fuck sake" Lucian grumbled, picking the bags back up off the floor.
"She's pretty though, in a... crazy kind of way" Dola shrugged
"Come on, we're going to our room" sugar grumbled
"Okay, see you guys in a bit yeah?" I asked, they nodded
"Yeah, don't get stalked on the way" Alex laughed.
It wasn't funny though, I felt bad for Dinara
It's hard to be rejected when you're young
But Lucian wasn't interested in her
Never had been. I was the first person he ever really got on with properly.
But even though I felt bad for her
I also wasn't going to be tolerant of any stupid behaviour

"So, what do we do when we bump into her?" I asked
"Tell her to fuck off" he suggested
"Baby" I said matter of factly
"What? She's a crazy bitch" he said
"She's... no yeah you're right" I sighed.
"Exactly, so let's just be here for dad. And have nothing to do with that psycho" he said
"Okay baby" I said, placing Aleandra in the cradle we had set up.
{ Rowan }
"Anastasia" I said happily, embracing her in a hug from my seat
"Rowan, darling, how are you?" She asked, sitting down opposite me by the fire
"As well as I can be given the circumstances, that's why you're here" I chuckled.
"And here was me thinking you just wanted a catch up" she laughed
"That too, how's Dinara doing?" I asked
"You want the honest answer or..." she asked
"The truth" I said
She sighed.
"She's... better. Truly she is. But it took a while to get her on the right track. After the incident all those years ago, then her father dying. She finally got herself on some sort of path when the news of Lucian's wedding got out. She took a slight dip but all in all she's... coping. She's doing well. Hence why I brought her, I think she can handle being here" she said.
"Good. I'm sorry to hear of her troubles though" I said
She smiled
"Is Lucian happy with her... with Vivienne?" She asked.
"Yes, he's never been happy unless he's with her, they've just had their second child" I told her
"That's, that's lovely Rowan, truly" she said
"Thank you"
"And you? Are you happy? I heard about the divorce" she inquired.
"I'm okay, Rose recently moved back in, we're... civil, for Kamala's sake at least" I chuckled
"That's great" she said.
{ Vivienne }
"That's not how you do it" I chuckled, taking the pot off of Lucian
Why we attempted to make dinner I don't know.
But it was making me laugh to no end
And it gave us a break from the kids as Alex and Dola got their babysitting practice in.
"I have my own ways" he said
"Yeah and they're wrong" I chuckled, as he wound his arms round my waist whilst I stirred
"Lucian?"
My head snapped up. And slight shock ran through my body as I saw Dinara Sokolov after all these years.
Stood in the doorway with a smile painted on her red lips
Her blonde hair tied back with a bow, and her eyes alight with excitement as she stared at Lucian.
"Dinara" he said blankly, going back to looking down at what I was doing
"Dinara, how have you been?" I asked, trying to be polite.
"Great, just great, you?" She asked happily, still looking at Lucian.
A bit too fucking happily
"Yeah we're... we're good. Well, given the circumstances" I said
"Yes, I'm so sorry to hear about your father Lucian. It was such terrible news" she said sadly.
Lucian didn't respond
"I'm going to go check on dad" he said, before walking out of the room
"Okay, we'll catch up later" she said after him, before finally looking at me.
Before simply leaving
Okay. Nothing to say to me then.

"Shh, Ssh darling it's okay" I said, lulling Aleandra to sleep, before placing her back in her cradle
I grabbed the baby monitor, checked on Dmitri, who had fell asleep in our bed, and then headed downstairs, where I was intercepted by Alex.
{ Vivienne's Outfit }
"So, you seen her?" He asked, winding our arms together
"What? Are you escorting me or extorting me for gossip?" I chuckled
"Can't it be both?" He asked
"Ah, such a gentleman" I commented.
"But yes. We've seen her and it was... weird" I laughed, coming to the end of the stairs
"Why?" He asked
"Maybe because she stared at Lucian for the entire conversation" I said.
"Ooh, sounds fun" he said, opening the dining room door
"Not as much fun as dinner will be" I mumbled lowly, parting from him to take my seat by Lucian
And of course... Dinara was opposite us, sat with her mother.
"Wine?" A maid asked
"Yes. Lots" I said, holding my glass up.

"The wedding really was lovely" Anastasia commented
"Thankyou" Dola smiled
"Yeah, I'm so sorry I couldn't attend, I would have if I was... available" Dinara said
"That's okay" Alex said dismissively.
I know he didn't want her there anyway
"And Lucian? How have you been recently?" Dinara asked once again
Sugar shrugged
"They've been good, the-"
"Well I didn't say they, I said Lucian, I hear you've opened a few more bars over in America?" She said in awe.
Wow, cut Rowan off why don't you?
"Uh, yes, and we recently bought a business together didn't we son?" He said
"Yeah" Lucian said simply
"That's interesting, I've been wanting to start my own for a while, maybe I could pick your brain sometime" she suggested.
"No" he said
Alex snorted, covering his mouth with his hand to hold his laugh in
"What he means is, he's very busy at the moment, I'll be needing his time a lot for the will" Rowan said
"And him and Viv are so busy with the kids" Alex chimed in.
I glared at him
"Kids?" She asked, snapping her gaze back to Sugar
"Yeah, Dmitri and Aleandra" he said, it was probably the only thing he'd said so far that he was happy to share.
"What? You... you had kids with her?" She asked
"Yes, planning many more" he said, looking to me with a smile, his hand on my thigh underneath the table
But I was looking at her, and the way she deflated in her seat.
"I, I'm happy for you" she said
"Yeah, they're gorgeous little things" Dola said
"Noisy little things" Rose chimes in for the first time all evening.
"Right, pudding?" Anastasia suggested
"May I be excused? I don't feel very well" Dinara said
"Of course, are you alright darling?" Anastasia asked her
She nodded with a smile, before leaving hastily.
"Well that weren't fucking weird" Alex mumbled in my ear
"Yeah well you shoving the kids in her face didn't help" I said
He shrugged.
