While Carlos drove the 45 minute drive home tk just watched out the window " when we get home I'll set you up upstairs with some blankets and you can catch up on some sleep and then after we can try eating something if your feeling up to it ?" Carlos said rubbing Tk's should "yeah.." tk said " you know I love you and I'm grateful for your help with this ." Tk said looking over at Carlos " I know you do and what I'm doing is nothing compared to what you had to do for 4 weeks while working overnights ." Carlos said " my love if your tired go to sleep we have 30 minutes left and when we get home I'll set you up in bed ." Carlos said " my coats in the back seat if you wanna use it as a blanket to make it warmer " thanks ." Tk said putting Carlos's coat over his shoulders cuddling it
When tk woke up he was in there bed in their bedroom last thing he remembers was sleeping in the car he rubbed his eyes still keeping himself wrapped in the blankets he got up leaving one of the smaller blankets wrapped around him to keep him warm he walked downstairs seeing Carlos in the kitchen "hey sleepy head ."Carlos said as tk sat at the counter tk waved a hand at Carlos " you get some sleep ?" Carlos asked rubbing Tk's hands " yeah thanks .." tk mumbled "how did I get upstairs ?" Tk asked not really having any memory of it " when we got home you were tired shivering so I just carried you in and tucked you in ." Carlos said "Carlos you should have woke me I could have saved the trouble -." Tk said "you were tired you were peaceful it wasn't any trouble ." Carlos said " I made you some soup you don't have to eat it all just what your comfortable with okay ?" Carlos smiled giving tk the half full bowl of soup While tk was in the hospital they had a feeding tube for tk not just because he was unconscious but because he was underweight " thank you ." Tk said as Carlos sat next to him tk played with his food he just didn't have a appetite and he loved Carlos's soup tk got some soup on the spoon putting it in his mouth " good whatever your comfortable with okay we'll take it slow " I feel bad ." Tk said looking at Carlos " you made me soup and I can barley eat it .." tk said rubbing his face " hey like I said we will take it slow okay it will be easier over the next few days ." Carlos said tk took a few more spoon fulls of soup the bowl was almost done and tk gave up " you did good you pretty much finished ." Carlos said kissing Tk's head " are you up to going to therapy later ?" Carlos asked "yeah I think I'm gonna get a shower .." tk said " okay I'll wait for you in the bedroom and we can cuddle till your appointment?" Carlos said " Mhm." Tk said Carlos knew what tk needed cuddles where a love language for them they could lay for hours on end just like that in each others arms with not a single complain
Carlos knew tk liked things to distract him that was one of the reasons being a paramedic thrilled him because every call it's something new to distract him
