The carriage stopped slowly after a while of the journey, and then Song Qinghan jumped off it and raised his head staring at the grand mansion erupted in front of him. Oh well, it could be predicted from its magnificent layout that this family must get a much greater power than Old Man Gao and Old Zhu. But Song Qinghan couldn’t figure out why the family would choose such a remote place.

The servant at the gate bowed himself saluting to Old Zhu, and then the butler of the mansion came out in a jubilant pace, smiling brightly and saying, “Lord Zhu, you’re here! Our Master was just talking about you!”

Old Zhu smiled, and then he took a glance at Song Qinghan, while introducing, “This is…”

“Song Qinghan,” Song Qinghan echoed.

“Yes, yes, this is Doctor Song I got here! Lead us the way to your master now!” confirmed Old Zhu, embarrassed. Well, he should be since he didn’t know Song Qinghan’s name until now.

The smile on the butler’s face froze as he stared at Song Qinghan from head to toe in silence. And then he got quite awkward standing there and not believing that Song Qinghan was a real doctor. He pondered, and then uttered in hesitance, “Lord Zhu, please don’t mind me mentioning this… You should know exactly how sentimental our Master is, every time he got diagnosis from doctors, he got depressed for quite a long time. He wouldn’t hurry to move here if doctors there had made a right diagnosis.”

Old Zhu withdrew the expression on his face, and then nodded seriously and lowered his voice, promising, “I surely know that! But I can promise you that the diagnosis this time will be different, Doctor Song might give us some other answer out of it.”

Well, since Old Zhu had promised something like that, the butler got no other reason to dissuade anymore. He bowed in a way of politeness and then led the way. Through the passageway featuring an unfathomable length, they walked toward the innermost room which was sitting right at the center of this magnificent mansion.

Song Qinghan followed behind and looked around in the mansion with a great curiosity. Everything was just exquisite within it, the delicately carved eaves showed on the top of each side room with the steady drip of water from them, various bluish green plants blurred the edges of the hidden rockeries while the running water murmured with a crystal sound and the wild birds called jubilantly. He couldn’t help but recall the fact that “They just hurry to move here” the butler just mentioned, and got more curious about the identity of the owner of this mansion.

He could draw a conclusion now that the owner of this mansion should possess an incomparable economic situation no matter this mansion was newly built or bought.

It would be much mentally painful than physical one for a man who possessed a have tremendous property. Such a “Incurable Disease” was surely killing him.

However, beyond Song Qinghan’s expectation, the owner of this mansion was a far cry from the the figure of imagination in Song Qinghan’s mind. The owner of this mansion didn’t look like he was suffering or dying or being long tormented by the illness, but was peaceful and as calm as the one drawn on the paper.

It seemed that his eyes were full of astonishment when he noticed a stranger here in his mansion, but he didn’t take the initiative to ask, he stood there in silence as if he was just waiting for an answer from Old Zhu.

There was a rare embarrassment emerged on Old Zhu’s face, he then introduced Song Qinghan to the owner of the mansion again. Noticing that the owner of the mansion frowned tightly there, he hurriedly explained, “Su, you should know my grandson’s situation, right? He is able to get himself off the bed and walk now, it’s all Doctor Song’s contribution.”

Zhai Su was a bit surprised and looked at Song Qinghan meticulously, and then he nodded, saying gently, “Then I might be honored to have you troubled, Doctor.”

He didn’t seem to have a promising hope for the diagnosis, yet it was quite a good news for Song Qinghan. He couldn’t make a full assurance to make a right diagnosis or a smooth treatment, after all. So if the patient lowered his expectancy in the very beginning before the examination, Song Qinghan wouldn’t have to think of the ways to pacify.

Noticing that Song Qinghan was inconvenient at the moment, Old Zhu took the initiative to carry over Little Shitou who was now still immersing in a sweet dream. He lowered his head to check the baby’s face and then looked up to see Zhai Su, and then he smiled big, saying, “Hey, I find the baby gets a spitting image of you, Su! This probably is the so-called destiny. Isn’t it?”

Zhai Su smiled faintly, as if he didn’t listen to Old Zhu carefully. He just took a short glance at Little Shitou, and then moved his eyesight on Song Qinghan.

Song Qinghan washed his hands, dried them with a clean handkerchief, and then commenced checking the tumour on Zhai Su’s chin while being polite and saying, “Excuse me!”

This sudden action seemed to have exceeded Zhai Su’s expectations. He subconsciously avoided it, but Song Qinghan had already grasped on his tumor accurately. The expression on his face stiffened and he pursed his lips, gradually relaxing his body and letting Song Qinghan take his action.

Well, just let him do it. Zhai Su had nothing to worry about now since this so-called doctor had seen it. And in addition, this young doctor should be the one who became worried when he touched the tumour on him.

Song Qinghan looked serious while checking the tumour on Zhai Su’s chin back and forth several times. He noticed that there was a clear line between the tumor and its surrounding skin, and then he asked, “Lord, do you feel any strange on this stuff in your daily life? Like, do you feel painful or itchy on it?”

Zhai Su shook his head with certainty, confirming, “I am quite sure there is nothing strange! I can’t even feel the existence of it sometimes, but just think that it’s kind of obstructive on my look!”

Song Qinghan nodded with relief, at least he could make sure that the situation was much better than he thought. And then he pondered for a brief moment, and then asked again trying to confirm, “It was in the size of a finger nail in its initial shape, right?”

Noticing that Song Qinghan hadn’t show an expression of seriousness like the other doctors did, Zhai Su got a hope with his eyes lit up all of a sudden, and then he sank into his memories. Not long, he answered in certainty, “Right! I just happened to find it as a small rash or something one day when I woke up and washed my face.”

Well then… It should be a phenomenon of tissue proliferation. And it could be seen from the current diagnosis that such a tumour hadn’t turned into a malignant one.

Song Qinghan asked again while thinking of something, “Do you feel any discomfort from other physical parts? If you have, you should take care of them first.”

Zhai Su was quite moved when he heard the words of Song Qinghan, as if he never expected that Song Qinghan would say something like that.

He touched his stomach hesitantly and uttered slowly, “I’ve got a bad stomach recently, and I don’t feel like having something to eat. Oh, I did vomit last night and the other doctor told me that I got heatiness and cold at the same time. He asked me to take some liquid medicine for days and I would be fine from it.”

Song Qinghan nodded and spoke to Zhai Su with a relaxed expression, “Then you should take care of it for a few days. As long as you can make sure that your physical situation is all set, get me again here.”

And after that, he raised his face and stared at Old Zhu, seemingly inquiring the old man that whether they could leave or not.

Elder Zhu was stunned standing there, and then he regained his attention, pointing at Song Qinghan and then Zhai Su and asking in confusion, “Have… Have you finished checking? Doctor Song, is Su…?”

Song Qinghan answered honestly, “I can only promise you from the current situation that his tumour on the chin is still benign, and is promising to cut off by operation. But it’s still a necessity for me to make a clear observation for few days. Once I identify it as a confirmed case, I will get you informed about the notifications of the operation.”

Although there were several nouns used for modern medicine in his words, Old Zhu and Zhai Su could still figure out the main meaning of what Song Qinghan said. They both got inspired all of a sudden.

Old Zhu and Zhai Su looked at each other in the eyes. It could be seen that there was a fire ignited in the eyes of them, it was a fire of hope. And then both of them spoke with one voice, “Alright! We’ll look forward to the good news from you, Doctor Song.”

Song Qinghan nodded, washed his hands, took Little Shitou over, greeted and bid farewell to Zhai Su, turning around and leaving.

After leaving the mansion, Elder Zhu finally couldn’t maintain his calm and then he praised in excitement, “Doctor Song, you’re such an amazing doctor I’ve never seen before! Su has been suffering from this tumour for over ten years. He had traveled by himself from the northernmost to the southernmost, and inquired all manners of famous doctors he could. But every doctor just informed him that it was an incurable disease and it should be depended on the divine will whether it could be cured or not. YOU ARE the first one claiming that it’s a curable illness!”

However, the more excited Old Zhu became, the more stressed Song Qinghan could feel. He couldn’t even make a full assurance that such a tumour on Zhai Su’s chin had no tendency to pathologically change, after all. Moreover, there was nothing like a precise examining machine which allowed him to cut a bit of the tissue of the tumour for a further chemical examination. What all he got now were only the verbal statement from the patient. Well, he should also consider the factors of individual difference from different people. That was why he would recommend to take a further observation for few more days in order to increase the precision of the diagnosis.

Seeing that Song Qinghan was just humbly smiling there without words, Old Zhu asked hesitantly, “Doctor Song, anything troubles you?”

Without a moment of hesitation, Song Qinghan answered, “Indeed, we got risks in every kind of operation, after all. Although I can promise you that I am able to run the operation, I should still need few days to figure out whether I can bear the risk myself. As far as I am concerned, the lord, I mean, your old friend I have just met, he seems to get quite a noble identity. I am afraid that not even a risk should exist, right?”

Even if he put aside the risks he would encounter during the operation, the situation of this tumor itself was quite complicated. Whether it would relapse after the operation was not something he could control by his own.

Elder Zhu paused and sighed deeply, as if someone just poured a pot of cold water on his head at the moment which made him calm down all of a sudden. and then he said slowly, “Ever since Su got sick, he had always been avoiding meeting his husband. You would also praise their love if you have ever seen them as a couple. Everything just changed since he got such an ugly tumour thing on his chin. I believe that even Su knows himself gets an incurable disease, he would still be eager to get rid of that annoying tumour thing and get a chance to meet his husband again!”

Song Qinghan was touched by Old Zhu’s words, and then he asked in such a great surprise, “Why is that? Why can’t he meet his husband because of the tumour? Is he worried that his husband would frown upon him on his tumour?”

The most pitiful thing for a loving couple is that each of them is eager to meet the other one, but he has to suppress his emotion beyond his willingness and force himself not to meet. Song Qinghan couldn’t help shaking his head by thinking of this.

Ten years! How many “Ten Years” does one possess to waste?

Old Zhu shook his head either, and then lowered his voice, saying, “No. It’s all because of the toughness of Su’s personality. Don’t be deceived by the softness he showed, he is indeed someone who gets various ideas in his mind, otherwise he wouldn’t have… Never mind, what I am trying to say is that his husband has been waiting bitterly for him for so long, but he’s being so stubborn that he will only meet his husband again as long as he is able to get rid of the tumour thing.”

Being informed by the words of Old Zhu, Song Qinghan could get an initial acknowledge about the personality of Zhai Su. He got relieved at once.

Well, he then believed that as long as Zhai Su would reach an agreement with him on the operation, he wouldn’t be blamed even accident happened in the operation process.

In this way, he could only pay his attention on the operation instead of other annoying matters he would think about in his mind.
