One of the reason why they moved so urgently was that they earnestly wanted to live in their own home, but most importantly, the account for the cost of buying the house occupied almost half of their deposit. In that case, they had to move out from the lodge while getting everything back on track.

While the dusk hadn’t come yet, Song Qinghan went search an unused cloth and then wrapped Little Shitou up and tied the cloth on Wu Dahu’s chest. And then both of them commenced cleaning the yard.

What was worth mentioning was that they found the house a better look as they got closer observation on it. Though it was small, it still got all kinds of picturesque scenes like rockeries and ponds in it, while the overall arrangement of every single room was sort of delicate. The rooms were all well-arranged in their layouts without even a wasteful space, while they didn’t even deliver a sense of mess. In all, this house was way better than the shack with simple and crude appearance in the previous village.

Well, it was obviously that the previous owner of this house was a man of decency. He left the house almost clean without dust while it seemed that there was no need for them to clean the entire house root and branch. So they just had to clean their rooms, and after that, the two of them commenced putting their stuff in order.

The dusk approached as they finished settling everything down. Considering that Yuan Wenxuan was still in the room of the lodge taking care of that leader boy, they were quite guilty while probably the boy was rather gloomy at taking care of a stranger. So they just rushed back to the lodge and then checked out the situation of the leader boy of that acrobatic team. Seeing that no wounds festered at all, Song Qinghan released Yuan Wenxuan while ordering the kid from acrobatic team to stay and take care of their big brother.

After their dinner, Song Qinghan took the packed food upstairs and then delivered it to the leader boy and the kid. After that, he prepared to wander in the street and was about to purchase some merchandises for daily needs.

But it just happened that at the moment they stepped out of the lodge, they were stopped by a gang of people whom Song Qinghan was vaguely familiar with.

“Hey you little bastard! Did you save those spoiled brats?”

The one who shouted fiercely was the one who led the beefy villains, and they were the ones who beat those members of the acrobatic team. The leader among the villains showed his expression full of proud and disdain, while looking at Song Qinghan and Wu Dahu in a way he looked at an ant without power to fight back.

Wu Dahu frowned, saying indifferently, “What do you want?”

The beefy man snorted. And then he waved the broadsword in his hand, saying in a disdaining tone, “What do you want me to do? Saving those brats is no different from slapping me on my face. You know, I am not that kind of gentleman who got a good temper and just lets things go. If someone dares to punch me or something, I will beat the sh*t out of him, like, for sure. I will give you two choices, get me the boys here and let them all knee down in front of me. Or feed my broadsword with their blood. Make a choice. NOW!”

Again, there came various rubberneckers who were curious about the so-called show “put on the stage”. Yet, they were all frightened and didn’t dare to get closer at the same time since the all beefy men grabbed their own broadswords in hands. Instead, they stood far away in distance, seemingly looking forward to the development of the drama.

Wu Dahu noticed that those members of the acrobatic team had already sneaked into the crowd, and all of them seemed to be quite furious. The boys brought bricks in their hands, as if they were all ready to rush forward and perish together with those fierce-looking villains.

Wu Dahu shook his head motioning to the boys that they shouldn’t take any risky action.

Seeing that, those boys only had to put away the bricks temporarily, but the anger on their faces still lingered. They glared at the beefy leader and his subordinates with resentment. They all reached an agreement even without a further negotiation that if those villains dare to do something evil, they would surely rush forward to save Wu Dahu and Song Qinghan.

There was a silence lasting for probably half a dozen eternities, and then it was the beefy man urged impatiently, “Hurry up. Pick one! My broadsword is so much eager for the blood right now.”

Wu Dahu was still thinking of the ways to get these troublesome villains out of their ways, he then answered while dragging his voice, saying, “Only two choices for me?”

The beefy man raised his head as high as he could, proudly, and then shouted arrogantly, “YES, only these two choices! Or you sacrifice yourself for saving them, this counts for the third choice.”

“It will be such an injustice for me if I die from doing nothing. Isn’t there existing any other ways?”

Wu Dahu still continued to play for time deliberately, while putting both his hands on his back and gesturing to Song Qinghan.

Song Qinghan’s heart tightened when he was informed by the gesture of Wu Dahu, but he still protected Yuan Wenxuan behind him and moved back quietly.

If a fierce fight would surely be doomed to outbreak, he should definitely not be an encumbrance to Wu Dahu!

“What the…” the beefy leader of the villains was annoyed all of a sudden while getting no answer from Wu Dahu at all. Just at the moment he was about to shout again, one of the subordinates who was staying closest to him whispered, “Boss, they are playing for time now, they probably intend to run away.”

Hearing that, the beefy leader got his expression changed suddenly, and when he raised his face again trying to catch Wu Dahu in sight, he noticed that there was already an apparent gap in distance between them. Being utterly enraged, he raised his broadsword high in the air, shouting, “You bastard, are you playing with me, huh? Brothers, catch them all!”

“Wait! Wait!”

An old and weak voice rang among the crowd. It was Doctor Shi who was at the same scene last time emerging slowly in the crowd.

This time he was quite different because he didn’t carry a medicine kit with him tonight, but instead, he brought another gang of people here.

It seemed that the beefy leader was quite familiar with this so-called Doctor Shi, but he still straightened up his neck after a while of dither, saying, “Doctor Shi! Don’t you step in this affair. This is our own business, I don’t want to hurt you out of it.”

Doctor Shi had to catch his breath after a quick move coming up. He was quite old, after all. His personal servant, the one who stood aside Doctor Shi as an assistant, supported Doctor Luo, while sneering, “Aren’t you talking big! Don’t ever flatter yourself by saying that! Go on and try to hurt our stuff in Huichun Shop! Probably you won’t even know how you will die out of it.”

It seemed that the fierce-looking leader was tucked in mouth all of a sudden by the warns of that assistant. His seemingly silver tongue seemed to be cut off while he failed to say something in retort. Or, he was just afraid to say something.

He knew that the people in Huichun Shop were sort of protective. Last time when a man came to Huichun Shop for his prescribed medicine, he slapped the servant on his face. And after that, the accountant in the counter of Huichun Shop withdrew the medicine and prescription. In addition, they drew a picture of that man while compelling every Huichun shop within the country not to make any treatment to the man. The man was so much regretful over it though finally he got cured by an unknown amateur doctor.

An illness with mild symptom might not require the help of the Huichun Shop, but what if he got an serious one one day? As for the treatment stuff, no one dared to declare that he was better than any doctor in Huichun Shop. In that case, who would choose to take risks by provocation on them?

What’s more, people who knew about medicine definitely acquired some knowledge about toxicology. If someone really got them irritated, they probably would add something unknown in someone’s prescribed medicine. At that time, probably he didn’t even know how he die.

Finally, Doctor Shi caught his breath after a few rounds of inhaling and exhaling, he then shouted, “Don’t be a rude guy! Try fair means before resorting to force. How many time did I teach you that? Why can’t you just learn?”

The beefy man was at ease when he heard the first sentence Doctor Shi said, but then he got his complexion changed again, showing an extremely complicated one when he heard the latter part of Doctor Shi’s utterance.

So Doctor Shi was just blaming the servant for being unruly in the very beginning, but not for spluttering with some defiant words?

At the thought of this, the beefy man was mute while thousand of bitterness lingering in his mind. What he could do was just to release the fierce look on his face, and said with a reluctant smile, “Ah, it’s my fault for being so rude. By the way, Doctor Shi, what bring you here today? If you’re not coming here for them, we’ll just leave and won’t bother you.”

After that, he gestured to his subordinates to catch Wu Dahu and Song Qinghan by locking their hands.

“Let them go! We’re here for them!”

Doctor Shi shouted while frowning seriously.

However, the beefy man seemed to avoid the eye contact with Doctor Shi purposely, as if he was turning a deaf ear to what Doctor Shi just said. And then insisted on taking them to leave.

Seeing that, the servant got irritated all of a sudden, stamping his foot and waving his hand gesturing in the air, shouted harshly, “Take them over here! If these guys dare to hurt them, memorize their looks!”

The group of people reacted quite obediently, they rushed over to the beefy men and then grabbed Song Qinghan and Wu Dahu over while forming a solid “Flesh Wall” to protect them within.

The beefy man finally gave up as he thought that everything would just turn to the bad side to them if everything just festered. He glared at his subordinate with his eyes full of evil, while saying in a low voice, “Let’s leave here.”

It was not until all the villains left did Doctor Shi come up in a slow move, he looked at Wu Dahu and then Song Qinghan, and then asked tentatively, “Who’s the one who saved the boy with a serious injury?”

Song Qinghan took a step forward and nodded, answering, “It’s me, Doctor Shi. I will be honored if you call me Song.”

An excitement flashed across Dr. Shi’s eyes while he waved his hand, saying, “Doctor Song, did you really succeed in saving him? Would you give me a chance to see the boy?”

It wasn’t hard for Song Qinghan to understand the extreme excitement from Doctor Shi. Because he did experience once such an emotion when someone solved the problem beyond his ability.

In that case, he promised decisively, “Alright, it’s my pleasure! Please follow me.”

With the help of the the servant, Doctor Shi followed Song Qinghan up the stairs and into the leader boy’s room.

The leader boy just came back from the latrine and was about to get his subordinate to tie the bedsheets. When he noticed that Song Qinghan was coming in, he felt quite embarrassed while explaining, “Doc… doctor… I, I am just…”

He stammered because he didn’t want Song Qinghan to think that he was walking himself without permission. Perhaps Song Qinghan would left him alone in the end.

Before he finished his words, he noticed that Doctor Shi was coming in with some other guys around. He was confused while asking, “Doctor… Who are…?”

The kid from the acrobatic team recognized Doctor Shi at the moment he caught the sight of him, and then he whispered to the leader boy in the ear for a while, as if he tried to tell him everything that day after he passed out.

Finally the penny dropped, the leader boy came to figure out everything in his mind with a clearer thought, while saying gratefully, “It’s so kind of you to get another doctor from Huichun Shop here, Doctor. In fact I’m all fine now, I think I will be totally recovered till my ribs get better.”

Doctor Shi opened his eyes wide as if he wanted to check out the border between the reality and the dream, he wouldn’t believe the scene how a man who was doomed to die stood there with a smiling face. With a utter shock, he murmured, “Did you save him… How can it be…?”

The servant whispered tentatively, “Master, maybe you just misdiagnosed?”

“Impossible!”

Doctor Shi directly denied it. When he realized that he was being too fierce by saying that, he lowered his voice while trying to ask gently, “I’m your master. Don’t you know well about my personality? Did I ever misdiagnose anyone since I have been a doctor for so many years?”

The servant was awkward standing there while scratching himself on the head, and saying in a low voice, “Then why is he still alive? Didn’t you say that he was doomed to die?”

What the servant said totally made Doctor Shi dumbfounded, he then smiled in bitterness, saying, “I want to know the truth too. Did I neglect something?”

Song Qinghan answered directly, “No, you didn’t neglect anything. It just happened that I inherit a secret recipe from my ancestors, and such a recipe just happened to cure him. ”

He felt quite guilty while he was lying. But he probably would fail to make everything a sense to explain his medicine skills.

Dr. Shi was stunned. Just as he regained his attention, he dithered as if he was violently struggling in his mind, and then asked tentatively, “So could… Could you tell us something about that briefly? I mean, for a brief one. If you mind that, forget it.”

Song Qinghan never thought that his medical skills should be kept a secret. He directly invited Dr. Shi to the bedside and pointed at the leader’s stomach, saying, “I made a wide incision on this boy’s belly and drained all the extravasated blood out of his belly, and then readjust the position of his ribs and at last I sewed his skin tight with needles. That’s it.”
