Alas, if he wasn’t informed by Lin Dafu, the wicked man who told him every mean and hurtful falsehood, and if he didn’t witness the scene himself of them acting in an intimate move, he would have trusted Song Qinghan right away without a doubt and wouldn’t be that jealous at all.

However, since Song Qinghan had got a REAL life of abundance for five days, would he still be happy staying with him for a life of scarcity? He didn’t believe that Song Qinghan would be foolish to choose him anyway.

Or maybe he would stay still for a short while. Sooner or later, Song Qinghan would finally leave him, thought Wu Dahu.

Well, it is a truth though, that is a universe to say if someone gets to first taste the sweetness of the nectar, he’s not gonna to stop satisfying his own taste buds anymore, so does Song Qinghan. The boy would surely complain over his situation of no servants surround, he would cry for a hairstick worth five thousand silver coins. He would surely complain over everything for being poor.

And there comes another saying: It is easy when one’s living condition ascends from economical to luxurious; conversely, that becomes hard.

That was the principle Wu Dahu’s dad always told him. Although he didn’t ask for the further meaning of this sentence, he knew his femina dad left for a better life.

Will Song Qinghan be the next love rat like his femina dad? He felt heartbroken trying to think further. He came to a staggered mind conceiving a scenario that Song Qinghan left him for Lin Dafu and for the better life, even under the beg of the child. He would be like being thrown into a bottomless abyss if Song Qinghan decided to leave heartlessly abandoning them.

NO, he didn’t want that. He didn’t want his child to be like him, to be a desperate child with only one single parent.

If that was doomed to be. He would rather to be a single father at the very beginning, raising the child alone than letting his child know he was abandoned by his femina dad.

The reminiscences of the time he spent with his femina dad, how beautiful, now occurred to him all of a sudden. Every single happy and joyful yet ruthless picture flashed deep in his mind right away.

He closed his eyes, forcing himself to swallow down his tears with bitterness and sorrow.

He had once swore to himself that he would never ever be in tears for that crucial femina dad.

The wind from the north was crooning amid the branches, taking away the bare leaves without a mercy.

Wu Dahu raised his face sitting aside the tree. The night was approaching soon while the sky getting dark. He knew Song Qinghan would have forgotten him already.

True, how was the boy supposed to take care of other’s mind having himself indulged in the ambience being spoiled for days.

He then slowly walked back to his house, wandering back and forth outside the yard. Alas, he decided to end up everything tonight.

Song Qinghan was woken up by the noise outside. He got up and walked to the yard in a staggering way, rubbing his eyes and saying, “Oh you’ve come back. Are you fine now?”

“Let’s end up our marriage.”

Wu Dahu uttered the words calmly and plainly.

Shocking and being dumbfounded there, Song Qinghan took a pause all of a sudden with a seeming anger glutting in his eyes. He then clenched his fists, saying in a solemn tone, “Make it clear! What did you say?”

“Let’s end up our marriage.” repeated Wu Dahu.

The man seemingly got a dumb brain to read out the rage of Song Qinghan. What he did was repeating the words with a serious face.

With a towering rage, Song Qinghan came to an bitter laugh, shrugging and saying as if he got misunderstood, “Are you trying to get a girly mind? To be that kind of capricious and eager for their boyfriends’ spoil? I’ve told you everything and made them all clear. I don’t know what the heck are you getting annoyed for? Or didn’t I make it clear? Do you want me to make a clean breast of it, with every single detail? Oh, fine, then, seat yourself and I will confess everything.”

Song Qinghan got himself a rather red-rimmed face after the long gush of his rage, he continued to say, “Didn’t you just get out of the jail not long? Did you check out yourself a bit? Look at yourself NOW, for the ancestors’ sake. People who pass by you will surely throw to you with coins and food if you do get a bowl at hands right now. I know you spent a hard time in jail and I will never forget the fact that it was because of me. I know at the moment you got out of jail not seeing me, you would be angry and sad. BUT!…”

“Is that the reason we can’t get a life together? It’s not a wise choice for us to suffer ourselves with those negative emotions!”

Wu Dahu stood there, listening. At the moment Song Qinghan finished his words, he pondered  for a while and said, “I don’t think I am the one good enough for you, I can’t even offer you a better life, I mean, I can’t protect you just as Lin Dahu does. Well, I saved you this time, but how about the next time? There’s no end. The Lin Family is willing to offer you a refuge, but me not included. I don’t want you to be controlled by that bastard for saving me every time!”

Song Qinghan got his heart tightened all of a sudden hearing that.

What does the man mean about protecting him? Wasn’t his hubby concerning for his own safety?

He couldn’t help but explain: “Wang Huailing had left here already, he will never trap us again.”

With no special expression on his face, Wu Dahu uttered in equanimity, “No Wang Huailing, but there will exist other vicious men like Zhang Huangling, Wu Huailing… isn’t it?”

Taking a deep breath there, Song Qinghan came to speechless and be stunned.

He could explain no more though. He couldn’t even predict the future since he seemingly possessed an inborn fate incurring troubles and bad luck. He couldn’t even promise that he wouldn’t get Wu Dahu in any form of troubles again.

A creepy and dreadful silence festered in the yard while the moon rising in a peaceful pace, spreading her light of coldness on everything. The natural moonlight, without any other artificial illumination for embellishment, gave off a sense of bitter coldness. Both the two hearts froze right there and right at the moment.

“Alright, as you wish. Let’s END UP!” answered Song Qinghan in torment.

Wu Dahu took a pause there, finally he raised his face to look at Song Qinghan. He found his voice getting hoarse right away when he was about to say something.

“Let’s sign up tomorrow. We got no paper and prepared ink in our house.” said he.

“Okay.” answered Song Qinghan, and then he walked to the kitchen, preparing himself to cook.

Well, there is no use to be sad, to be sorrow. He still got a life.

Staring at Song Qinghan’s back, Wu Dahu stepped forward a bit trying to help, but something seemed to occur to him all of a sudden in his mind, clenching his fists, he turned around and left the house.

Song Qinghan looked back at the door of the yard, which was shut abruptly, he sneered himself, the smile on his face was a bitter one with somehow a sense of irony.

HA, what a tough man of male chauvinist! He didn’t want the house now and just left? Did he plan to end up their relationship without any property?

Shaking his head, Song Qinghan put the pot on the fire, blowing on the firewood inside the hearth. The smoke thrown off by the fire smote the boy from all direction. As Song Qinghan blew as harsh as he could, the ash inside the hearth flew out, sprinkling on his face.

With that pungent and choking smell and irritation, tears dropped down from the eyes of the boy, as ruthlessly as it could. Song Qinghan raised his hands with sleeves to rub his face, mumbling in a smile, “Ha, what an ash!”

Cooking finished. On the table, he seated himself there lonely, having the meal alone.

However, it was quite odd that he couldn’t taste any flavor out from the meal, just as if he was chewing wax, though he had added two handfuls of pepper and salt.

After dinner, he boiled two pots of water and treated himself a shower in a simplified way. And then tucked himself into bed, which he long missed.

Though with such drowsiness, he couldn’t fall asleep successfully, staring at the ceiling stiffly in bed, and zoning out himself for a long while.

“Hmm, it’s hard to fall asleep with cold feet…”

The next morning, there came a noise outside, it was Wu Dahu wandering and waiting for Song Qinghan. With a sudden move, Song Qinghan was awoken. He then uttered in subconsciousness, “I am starving…”

Wu Dahu glanced at him, lowering down his face again and mumbling, “I’ve drafted the divorce announcement already. If you want to stay here in the house, stay. If you don’t, I can’t force you to anyway.”

With the utterance finished, the man turned around and was about to leave. Song Qinghan got himself nervous suddenly, saying, “Where’re you going?”

Wu Dahu paused and said without looking back, “There’s always a place to go.”

With such a decisive look, the man left, leaving Song Qinghan alone in the room. Tears again, were lingering around the eyes of Song Qinghan. The pitiful and lonely boy murmured to himself, “How come you be so weak? Don’t fall for that ruthless man, never! It’s him who abandon you first. Hey, don’t be a shameless simp yourself!”

As the sun was beaming as harsh as he could, the noon was approaching. Standing in the yard and getting himself a sun bathe, Song Qinghan yawned.

You winter of coldness! Even the sun can’t drive you away.

After breakfast, Song Qinghan cleaned up everywhere in the yard, and then threw some slices of vegetable into the cage where their rabbits stayed.

The female rabbit acted so queer today, unlike the temperament before, she got quite a docile move currently. Song Qinghan lowered his head trying to have a closer check.

Five fluffy bunnies with rather tiny shapes was gathering together beneath the chest of the female rabbit. Some of them were sleeping, while the other dinning.

Song Qinghan turned his head in a great happiness, but only to find he got no one to share the news.

Withdrawing the smile on his face, he again collected some fresh vegetables into the cage for the female rabbit. And then turned back to the room in silence.

He sat aside the bed zoning out, caressing his belly and murmuring, “The rest of my life will be such lonely, so how am I supposed to run the business? I had promised Doctor Luo the fruit thing. And as for the diner shopkeeper, that must be a big deal too. Alas, no more dream about that.”

Although no hard work had he done this morning, he still felt sleepy. He got into the bed again and fell asleep not long.

It wasn’t a good sleep at all. At the beginning he was dreaming that Wu Dahu was lying on the grass, and the next minute the scene turned into him being chased by an unknown monster.

In his dream, he could even feel the pain of his hand being scratched by the swordgrass running by both sides.

He turned his head trying to figure out what the monster was. But only to be pushed down on the ground. He was hit by something big.

A heaven-shaking roar rang in his ears. Come on, it was a giant bear which was much higher than him. It was screaming with its scary and horrific tusks, giving off a fearful groan. Song Qinghan stepped back a bit.

But it seemed that the fierce bear wouldn’t give any chance for him, raising its huge bear palm high and then punching right at the direction where Song Qinghan stayed.

Song Qinghan dodged its attack rolling himself aside, which had totally irritated the giant bear. Then the bear pressed down Song Qinghan with his titanic body, showing its tongue with bunch of agnails and seemingly licking and swallowing down the poor boy’s face.

Screaming, Song Qinghan woke up at the moment he was about to be eaten by the bear in his dream. He stared at the endless ceiling, sweating himself in bed as if he was just saved from the drowning water, with his chest up and down. He was still immersed from the nightmare.

He could see it clearly that from the pupils of the bear that it revealed the image of Wu Dahu.

Fears and loneliness surrounded Song Qinghan right at the moment. He then got off the bed, but when he was ready to take on his shoes, he found his hands were shivering.

Well, it would be better to believe the worst, and be pleasantly surprised, than to be optimistic and learn the worst.

He still remembered the dream his femina dad collapsed in blood long before. Although he did not have any blood lineage with Wu Dahu, and there existed only faint possibility for them to have such a telepathy. But! What if it was real? What if Wu Dahu was really pressed down by a giant monster?

Since he could tell from the scene of his dream, Wu Dahu wasn’t able to rival the bear though. So Song QInghan was rather afraid that as long as he could find Wu Dahu, the man probably had died.

Song Qinghan picked up a hoe in the yard, opening the gate and peeking at the forest right before his sight. It was a forest of no end. Then he concentrated his attention, heading to the bush of darkness.
