Sorry it's been a few days! I spent the weekend in London at Destination Star Trek! Yes I'm a nerd. No I don't care. And yes I am not ashamed to say I cried meeting Kate Mulgrew. Oh Captain, my Captain.

On with the story!!

I clung to Donna as the tears just kept flowing down my cheeks. Her grip remained tight as I heard other people enter the room. But I couldn't care. I didn't care about any of it anymore. All I cared about was my father. My dead father.
"The police are taking him now, we can start sorting the funeral tomorrow. You both need rest." I heard a male voice speak up.
I looked up and saw Steven's father consoling my mother. I turned as Steven took a step closer to me, he sat on the spare seat next to me and gently placed his hand on my leg.
"We're all here if you need anything." He said quietly.
Donna reached down and moved his hand off my leg before pulling me closer to her.
"She's fine with me thank you Steven. I'm going to take her home."
I nodded into her slightly as my mother stepped forward.
"This is her home!" She snapped.
I pulled away from Donna slightly and stared in shock at my mother.
"No. This was my home. It's not anymore, remember?" I snapped in return.
"Rochelle Winters you can not seriously be planning on going back to him?!" She snapped again. "He let you leave in the middle of a tornado! I could have lost you too-" her voice cracked as she began to cry again.
I felt more tears brim my eyes as I stood firm, holding my ground. Out of the corner of my eye I saw everyone slowly step back, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire.
"Merrill." I mumbled.
My mother stepped forward slightly.
"What was that?"
I looked down at the ground before back up at her, my eyes glaring at hers.
"I said Merrill mother. Because that's what I am." I stepped closer to her. "I'm a mother-fucking Merrill mother."
Before anyone could react her hand collided with my face and I stumbled back, quickly being held up by Steven, who's arms were removed by Donna as I reached up and grabbed my cheek she'd just slapped.
"Maybe we need to take a break. Girls?" Steven said quickly as he placed both hands on me and Donna and slowly guided us outside.
The moment the front door was shut Donna shoved me away from him and turned to him.
"The hell are you playing at?" She snapped.
"Me playing at? I'm the one that saved her arse yesterday!" He shouted back.
She scoffed in his face as he got up close to her.
"Don't believe me? Fucking ask her yourself!" He shouted again, waving his hand in my general direction.
She turned to me slowly as I nodded and looked down at the concrete. What a fascinating piece of concrete.
"Well then I guess that makes you the hero of the day!" She snapped sarcastically. "Well fucking done Steven!"
I looked up to see her clapping in his face. Stepping forward slightly I put my hands up to both of them.
"Guys just stop! Can I get a ride home Donna? I need to see Ace."
She nodded slightly as she came closer to me.
"You owe me you know?"
We stopped and turned to Steven, who shrugged.
"It's a fair deal. I saved your life. You owe me."
I shook my head.
"I'm going home Steven. To my husband. And my family."
He nodded.
"Still owe me."
Donna grabbed my shoulders and began pulling me down the street before I could reply. She took my hand in hers as we passed the rubbish and debris. Neither of us said anything. Neither of us had to.
Just as we turned the corner to Donna's house we both froze to the ground. Brilliant. Fucking brilliant.
Donna's car was on its side with a tree placed right in the middle.
Did I say brilliant? I really mean really really fucking brilliant.
We both sighed as we heard a car pull up behind us. I shut my eyes and prayed for this day to end as we turned slowly and saw the only person who I really didn't want to see.
"Need a ride?" Steven said with a laugh as he hung his arm out the window.
"I hate you so much right now." Donna mumbled, loud enough for him to hear.
"Hardly my fault you're having some car trouble." He said laughing again.
"Get your arses in, I'll take you to Ace's."
We stood still as Donna leant closer to me.
"You trust him?" She whispered so only I could hear.
I shook my head slightly.
"Not at all but I really don't wanna have to walk."
She nodded slightly.
"I'll come with you and stay at Ace's for a bit. He ain't gonna get us."
We both nodded as we walked around to the car and both got in the back.
"What? Don't wanna sit up front?" He asked, still unable to stop his laughter.
"No, we're good here." Donna replied, cool as a cucumber.
"Yeah, just take me home." I mumbled.
Steven nodded and began to drive off, down towards Castle Rock. I felt guilt and pain inside as I turned and looked outside the window, looking at all the destruction caused. This was heartbreaking.
I stayed quiet the whole journey, ignoring Steven's attempts to start a conversation. Donna also ignored him as we soon arrived at Ace's house.
Never had me and Donna leapt out of a car so quickly. She ran around to me as we began walking up the house. However Steven's car didn't drive off. I heard him laugh as he beeped his horn and next thing we knew Ace and the rest of the Cobras came charging out the door.
Profanities and threats flying from their mouths as Steven put his car in gear and sped off just before they reached him. Didn't stop them shouting and swearing though.
I watched as Eyeball clocked me and Donna and tried grabbing Ace's attention. It clearly didn't work and even with the rest of the boys it didn't stop him lashing out.
I stepped forward as Donna grabbed my arm, trying to hold me back. I shook her off and took another step closer to Ace. Fuzzy stepped in front of me and put his hand up.
"Shell.. I really wouldn't." He mumbled as I saw Eyeball, Vince, Billy and Charlie all trying to calm him down.
"It's been tough.." he mumbled again as he gently took my hand.
"Let's get you inside and I'll tell you what happened when we came to get you."
I looked at him in surprise as he began leading me and Donna in the house.
"He came to get me?" I asked.
Fuzzy gave me a confused look before nodding slightly as we got inside, he shut the door behind us instantly silencing Ace's fury.
"Sit down Shell." He said as we walked into the lounge.
Me and Donna both sat as he half flopped, half fell on the floor. The whole place was a mess as I guessed it would be from the tornado.
"It wasn't good Shell. Ace was already fuming about how you took off from Eyeball and then Charlie and then the icing on the cake came from that cock-knocker."
