DAEUNS POV
School felt like hell for me these past few days as jungwon and hana found out they both transferred to the same school too.
Now guess why they transferred to another school at the same time? Yep you guessed it.. just because they wanted to avoid each other, not knowing they both ended up in the same school again.
And sunoo on the other hand I could feel his eyes on me time to time as I walked pass by him in the hallway everyday. No matter how hard he tried to talk to me, I ended up avoiding him.
At this point jake was the only normal friend I had, while I was surrounded by my moron friends in school including hana and my moron enemy jungwon.
"Attention please!" Mr.Kim interrupted my thoughts as he began to speak, hitting the ruler on the board to get the students attention.
"As you all know we have a final project coming up and it's really important for all of you to do it" he giggled when he heard the students whining at him and telling him to delay the project but it was all useless.
"Each project will be two students, you will do your project with the person next to you" he continued as the students agreed and nodded at his statement. The students were picking each other's partners already while I just sat there without a partner next to me.
"Daeun you will do your project with him" he pointed to the back seat as I turned around and mentally screamed at myself for my bad luck. I looked at jungwon who also had this annoyed expression as me and continued to look at Mr.Kim in disbelief.
"Out of all these days you decided to sit behind me today" i whined and pushed my hair out of my face in annoyance.
"How the fuck am I supposed to know we will get paired up together?" He scoffed and threw his pen at me roughly, almost stabbing my poor arm with it. I picked the pen back as I wanted to throw it back at him but immediately changed my mind when I looked at the pen.
"Oh new pen for me I guess" I smirked and slid the pen inside my pocket, the pen looked decent.
"I will snatch it back from you later" he glared, pointing his notebook at me as a way to show his threat but I just stuck my tongue out at him.
"Make me" i smirked again but immediately cringed at what I said, he was indeed every disgusted too.
*few minutes later*
Hana asked me to meet her at the school library earlier but she stated that she will be a bit late and told me to wait for her. While I was walking I could hear jungwon singing behind me, he was usually quite but what's up with him today? I gotta admit he has a good voice tho. He noticed me staring at him and smiled.
My heart just flipped at his smile, is it because I never saw him smile at me before or what?..
"As much as I hate to say this but let's do this project starting from now on" He paced up so he could walk next to me and eagerly waited for my answer.
"Since when you are this serious about school?" i chuckled, staring at him in disbelief.
"It's very clear that I don't want to do this project with you but I need that degree" he sarcastically spoke making me squint my eyes at him.
"As much as I don't want to do this project with you either I have no choice but to agree" i forced myself to smile back as we both made our way to the library. God I wanted to fucking kill him.
Surprisingly both of us started to get to work immediately and got busy searching for some references for our project as we looked through the book shelves. We both sat by the window as we were discussing about the project to each other, the students stared at us with widen eyes as they didn't expect us to be paired together.Yeah same. We actually looked we were friends for a second , I don't know how we didn't argue this whole time.
"Let's take a break" Jungwon stretched his arms and rested his head on the book, letting out tired noises.
"Just 5 more minutes and we will be done for today" i poked his head with my pen causing him to groan at my action and glare at me.
"Or you can beg me" I winked at him, receiving a disgusted look from him after.
"What's with the make me and beg me are you into these kinky shits?" He spoke in his curious tone as I tried so hard not to wheeze at his reaction.
"Why? scared you might like it too?" I laughed as he immediately looked away but this time blush creeping all over his cheeks.
"Pervert" he mumbled to himself as he continued to write to distract himself from this humiliating situation.
We were both finally done and decided to take a break in the library for awhile or that's what we thought... until a bitchass decided to interrupt our peace.
"Jungwon?" He called his name out of surprise, looking shocked to see him here.
"What?" Jungwon coldly replied, imitating the same expression at the person in front of him.
"What are you doing here?" Sunoo grabbed his books firmly that were against his chest out of anger but jungwon just smirked at him.
"Are you blind?" Jungwon pointed to the table for sunoo to see the books all over it, i bit my lips to prevent my laugh. I guess sunoo didn't know jungwon transferred to here too.
Sunoo then made an eye contact with me for few seconds but I quickly faced the other way to avoid him.
"Are you guys dating?" Sunoo gritted his teeth, waiting for my response. Wow a sudden question to ask...
"No-" I said.
"So what if we are?" Jungwon said.
Both of us looked at jungwon with widen eyes, I did not expect him to say that at all. Here comes this weird feeling again in my stomach.
"It's none of your business" jungwon stared at him in annoyance as he ruffled his hair out of anger.
"What if hana sees you like this with her?" He smirked but immediately dropped it as jungwon smashed his notebook on the table before standing up in front of him.
"Don't you dare say her name with that filthy mouth of yours" he almost yelled at him but had to keep it quite since they were still in the library. I couldn't handle any of this anymore as I also stood up to stop them from fighting.
"Please get out of here sunoo" i said but he insisted, I rolled my eyes as I grabbed his arm to kick him out but got stopped by jungwons grip on my hand.
"Don't go" he told me and glared at sunoo for the last time before he pulled me closer to him. He made his grip on my hand tighter as we both left sunoo in the library. I tried to get out of his grip but for some reason I didn't do anything and let him grab my hand the whole time as he was heading to somewhere else outside of our school.
His hand was so warm against mine.
My stomach hurts again..
After awhile I got really awkward with it so I cleared my throat making jungwon stop in his spot and look at me confusingly. He realized what he was doing as he quickly removed his hand from mine, He then cleared his throat probably embarrassed by what he just did earlier.
"Sorry about earlier" i apologized.
"What's your relationship with him?" He ignored my apology and looked around his surroundings to avoid looking at me. He knew we had something going on as he saw us the other day by the lockers. "We used to date" i replied.
"He never told me about you" he said causing me to let out a chuckle, I sighed sadly. Shoving my hands into my pockets as I observed around me too. The view looked peaceful.
"Why are you not friends with him anymore?" I asked him all of the sudden since I was curious about it from the beginning. "He also used to like hana" he said.
Damn hana be stealing everyone else's men including mine.
"And because of that our friendship ended you already know the rest" i nodded as he sat down on one of the benches, feeling tired from walking too much. I quietly sat down with him, not uttering a word.
"And he dated me to get over his feelings for her but he ended up hurting himself and me more by cheating on me later" I threw my head back to look at the sky, remembering that day when I caught sunoo and that girl in the classroom. Jungwon was the one who stared at me now as I still had my eyes on the sky. Does he even feel bad?
As we both remained silence after that I felt droplets of water start to hit my face.
"Omg jungwon it's raining do you have an umbrella?" I slightly panicked, not wanting to get soaked like that day.
"What about yours?" he seemed unbothered as water were literally drenching him.
"For fuck sake that was sunoos umbrella I threw it away when you left it in the bus station that day" i covered the top of my head with my bag as I got up from my spot.
"Let's go why are you not getting up?" I half yelled at him and got annoyed by his unbothered expression so I ignored him. When I was about to run he stood in front of me and took his jacket off to cover both of our heads.
"Let's go" he said as I stared at him blankly but looked away as we began to run.
