You were grading papers when you think of the day you brought Harry home

You walk into the house holding little one-year-old Harry
Remus walks out of the kitchen
"Pup I just finished dinner." Remus says then noticing the bundle of blankets "Y/n why are you carrying a baby?" Remus asks thinking you just stole a baby from someone, you sigh as you smile at Harry
"It's Harry." You say and Remus sighs
"No y/n we can't take in Harry, not with my condition I could kill him, this is why we said we won't have kids we can't take in Harry." Remus says and you walk over to him
"Remus we have to, Dumbledore left him on Lily's sisters doorstep not even ours, James is my brother and he's dead I'm taking in my nephew." You say and Remus sighs
"Just y/n we can't I'm sorry we can't." Remus says and you place Harry in his arms which Remus has always been too scared of holding Harry, even when he was born
"We're his aunt and uncle Remus, Sirius betrayed them and is in Azkaban now we have to take him in, Lily asked us too if Sirius doesn't make it." You say and Remus sighs
"He's safer with the Dursley's so put him back." Remus says and you frown
"No, we've met them and not very nice people, now he's staying moony." You say and Remus sighs
"Look we'll talk about this tomorrow, but Harry looks tired we'll talk about what we will be doing tomorrow." Remus says and you nod
"Ok." You say as Remus started rocking Harry to make sure he stays asleep
"We don't even have baby stuff." Remus says and you nod
"We'll buy it, but Harry is our responsibility now." You say and Remus nods
'Me and y/n have been holding off on having kids and now we're taking in Harry, I am so terrified of hurting him.'

Remus eventually loved having Harry around, and it definitely made him feel better about having kids one day, and well hopefully soon that happens 'I've been sending hints to Remus hey I want a baby, I hope he sees them but then again when he wants to he can be so oblivious.'
