After he practically threw Sophie Deveraux into a chair, Klaus said to her, "We had a deal. You protect my unborn child, I dismantle Marcel's army, and whilst I've been busy fulfilling my part of the bargain, you allowed Hayley to be attacked and almost killed by a gaggle of lunatic witches."
Sophie replied, "I had nothing to do with it, I swear. Hayley and I are linked, remember? She dies, I die."
Rebekah asked her, "Then who were they?"
Sophie told them, "They're a faction of extremists. Sabine stupidly told them about some vision she had about the baby."
Klaus asked her, "What kind of vision?"
Sophie said to them, "She has them all the time. They're totally open to interpretation. I'm guessing she's wrong on this one."
Klaus asked as he leaned forward in his seat, "Well, how, may I ask, was this particular vision interpreted?"
After a couple seconds of silence, Sophie told him, "Pretty much that your baby would bring death to all witches."
While Annabelle only raised her eyebrows to herself in response, Klaus said, "Ah, well, I grow fonder of this child by the second."
It was then that Rebekah said, "Sophie, look. I promised Elijah that I would protect the Mikaelson miracle baby whilst he tries to win your witch Davina's loyalty. Why don't you tell me just how extreme this faction is?"
Sophie asked them, "Elijah is talking to Davina?"
With a sigh, Annabelle asked, "Can we just get back on point here, so that you can tell us just how extreme this particular faction is?"
Just as Sophie looked over at Annabelle, Rebekah said to Sophie, "Yeah, as we speak, I imagine."
With a nod of her head, Sophie said, "I'm guessing she'll have plenty to say about that crowd."
With a wave of his hands, Klaus said, "Do tell."
After a couple seconds of silence, Sophie told them, "I wasn't always an advocate for the witches. My sister was devoted like our parents, and our upbringing was very strict, which drove me nuts. The minute I turned twenty-one, I left the Quarter to travel... and play, but I wanted to be a chef. So I came back to Rousseau's."
Rebekah asked her, "What the bloody hell is a Harvest?"
Sophie said to her, "It's a ritual our coven does every three centuries so that the bond to our ancestral magic is restored. We appease our ancestors. They keep our ancestral power flowing."
Klaus asked her, "And why haven't I heard of this?"
Sophie told him, "Because the Harvest always seemed like a myth, a story passed down through generations like Noah's Ark or the Buddha walking on water, the kind some people take literally and some people don't. They had the girls of our community preparing for months. Four would be chosen for the Harvest. They said that it was an honor, that they were special. I thought it was a myth."
Rebekah asked her, "Was it?"
It was then that Klaus's phone started to ring, which got Klaus to get up out of his seat and say into the phone, "Marcel, bit early in the day for you, isn't it?"
Marcel replied, "I know. I make this look easy, but I still have an empire to run."
Klaus said to him, "Rather you than me. All that responsibility seems like such a bore."
Marcel told him, "Well, this might spice things up. I just heard about a bunch of dead witches out in the Bayou, the kind of damage a werewolf might do, only there was no full moon. I have an informant out there I need to meet, and I would love for you to go with me."
Klaus said to him, "Dead witches in the Bayou. Sounds like less of a problem and more like a cause for celebration."
Marcel replied, "Well, something killed them and may still be out there, and with your blood the only cure for a werewolf bite, I would love for you to accompany me."
Klaus said to him, "Well, why not? I haven't been to the Bayou in ages. I'm on my way."
Marcel said to him, "Peace out, brother."
After the phone call ended, Sophie said, "You can't go out there now. I need to gather the witches' remains and consecrate them. If I don't get to them before sundown, we lose the link to their magic."
With a shake of her head, Annabelle asked Sophie, "And how exactly is that our problem?"
While he pointed at Annabelle, Klaus said, "Annabelle is right. Those witches tried to kill Hayley. I prefer for Marcel's informant not to find anything that would lead him back to us, to her, or to, you know, that."
With a shake of her head, Hayley said to him, "You are all class."
As he pointed at Sophie, Klaus said while he made his way out of the room, "Stay put and save the rest of your story till I return."

As the four of them walked through the Bayou, Rebekah said to Sophie, "So this Harvest thingy, tell me more."
While Annabelle simply rolled her eyes to herself, Sophie replied, "Klaus said to wait."
Rebekah retorted, "Yes. He also said to stay out of the Bayou, and yet here we are amongst the crawly, buzzy creatures."
Annabelle chuckled to herself as she asked, "Oh, what's the matter, Rebekah? Are you afraid of getting your hands a little dirty?"
While Rebekah only scoffed to herself in response, Hayley told them, "We're here."
While Annabelle took in the sight of the several dead witches whose limbs and other parts of their body were ripped off of them with a wide grin on her face, Hayley took a couple steps forward and said, "Whoa."
A couple of seconds after Hayley had stopped in front of a paw print, Sophie asked them, "Is that a wolf track?"
It was then that they heard a snap in the distance, which resulted in Annabelle tilting her head and her veins coming onto display, while Rebekah asked, "Who's there?"
The man in a plaid shirt and black tank top said as soon as he took in the murder site, "What the hell?" After he looked between the two sisters, he asked, "Two Originals?"
Then the man simply sped away from them, leaving Annabelle tilt her head as she eyed the spot where the man once stood.

While Annabelle eyed her surroundings to ensure that no one would try and make a move on Hayley and kill her unborn relative, Hayley said to Sophie, "Those people, all this because of a vision about my baby you don't think is true."
While she opened the trunk and threw her bag inside, Sophie replied, "Look. I love Sabine, but she's the witch equivalent of a drama queen. I've learned to take little stock in whatever she says or sees. Just kind of wish she'd kept her mouth shut."
Hayley said to her, "The Harvest Ritual. You said you didn't believe in it. Were you right?"
With a shake of her head, Sophie said, "No. I saw it with my own eyes. It was working. It was real."
Hayley asked her, "So how can you be so sure Sabine's vision isn't?"
After Sophie closed the trunk, Annabelle grabbed Hayley's arm and said, "Come on. You have to get in the car."
Hayley glanced over at Annabelle and saw the blank look the Original had on her face before she nodded in response and got in the car, just as Annabelle had told her to do.

Rebekah said to Hayley, "I don't care if we have to get you a leash. That was your last trip to the Bayou. What is it with you and those wolves, anyway?"
While Rebekah poured some of the scotch into the glasses, Hayley told her, "I feel like we're connected somehow. I don't know. Maybe it's just some pipe dream that I have of finding any real family out there, but sometimes when I feel like it's me against the world, it keeps me going."
After watching Rebekah hand the glass to Hayley, Annabelle looked at Rebekah with furrowed eyebrows before she poured herself a glass, while Rebekah said, "Oh, right."
After Rebekah downed her glass and put it down beside her, she said to Hayley, "Well, if you ask me, family is a pain in the behind, and as for being in it alone, how dare you? I don't ruin a perfectly fabulous pair of boots traipsing through the Bayou for just anyone."
It was then that Klaus walked through the front door, which got Rebekah to turn to him and start to ask him, "Nik, finally, what--"
While Rebekah ran towards Elijah with a smile on her face, Annabelle only raised her eyebrows in response before she started to pour herself yet another glass of scotch.
While Rebekah started to pull away from the hug she and Elijah just had with each other, she said to him, "Oh, Elijah, you're safe." As Hayley started to walk away from the four siblings, Rebekah said to him, "Now that you're home, is your first plan to kill Niklaus?"
Elijah replied, "Excuse me. Just a moment."
While Elijah walked out of the room, Rebekah asked her two siblings, "Where's he going?"
With a sigh, Annabelle said, "You know, for someone who's been in love on several occasions for the past millennium, one would think that you would know just where he's going."
In response, all Rebekah could do was stare at Annabelle with furrowed eyebrows, while Klaus only raised his own eyebrows in response to Annabelle's words.

Elijah told the four of them, "Everything that brought us here to New Orleans was a lie-- this story that Sophie Deveraux fabricated, this struggle for control of the French Quarter, this war between vampires and witches, wasn't over territory at all. This was over Davina."
Annabelle snorted to herself before she asked, "So does this make this Davina girl the New Orleans version of Elena Gilbert, where all supernatural beings fight for the sake of her being?"
While Klaus only scoffed in response to her words, Elijah said to them, "Eight months ago, Sophie Deveraux and her sister Jane-Anne lost everything. Now, four months after that, a young, pregnant girl wanders into their restaurant. Suddenly, all hope is renewed. Jane-Anne actually sacrificed her life so that her sister could use you to find Davina. If Sophie Deveraux is successful in capturing Davina, she can return Jane-Anne's daughter back to life. We thought we'd come here to wage a war for power. This is about family. In order to return her niece to life, Sophie Deveraux will fight to the death. That makes her more dangerous than anyone."
