Irritated wasn't the best word to describe how you where currently feeling.
You weren't angry either, no, you were beyond furious.
Your blood was boiling and it was only a matter of time before you exploded. Or in worst case scenario, going to murder the brown haired male who was still flirting with the waitress of the Uzumaki café.
The fact that he was hitting on her wasn't the thing that get on your nerves, since he would often do this. No it was the conversation he was having with you between his sweet lines.
Well more like criticizing your appearance...
" Now see L/n this is how a women should be. Elegant, well behaved, a good sense of fashion and a little bit of make up to let that femininity radiate out." he nonchalantly summarized
" And what is that suppose to mean? Are you insinuating that I lack all those qualities that you just pointed out" you lowly spoke with your fist trembling at your side, ready to make use of it, if one more stupid thing came out of his mouth
Dazai shook his head " No of course not!" he dramatically exclaimed. Letting go of the woman's hands, he skipped over to you and took a hold of yours.
The way his face was only an inch away from yours, along with his thumb caressing your palm was to much for you to handle.
You desperately attempted to wriggle yourself out of this uncomfortable position, yet that only resulted in Dazai tightening his grip
" Believe me when I say you have your own special qualities that make you attractive. " his smooth voice informed, making you stop squirming
" Dazai.." you softly whispered in surprise
" However compared to that beautiful woman, you resemble more a Tomboy than a lady. And that concludes you don't have a feminine side. Or maybe a hidden one. Deep deep down"
Your face dropped and once again you found yourself fuming with rage " I mean you wear pants and a shirt instead of skirt or dress. Your hair isn't neatly brushed and you never wear any make up, just a tiny bit of mascara. Oh and your behavior resembles more that of a man." The male continued to add, making matter worse with each second
The woman from the café sweat dropped as the aura around the two detectives became gloomier. The air emitting from you was a menacing dark one and the waitress had to squint her eyes as she thought she saw your hair floating, along with your eyes turning red like a demon.
" I'm just stating the obvious my dear. But don't worry out of all the woman's I've meet, it will always be you who I choose to have a double suicide with" he declared with a cheeky grin
" Euhm..mister Kunikida" Atsushi weakly addressed the man who had his attention fixated on his notebook " Shouldn't we stop her from potentially killing mister Dazai?" he pressed his quivering finger on the glass, pointing at the two persons being inside of the shop
The dirty blond haired eyed his college through the window of the cafe, who as of this moment was indeed getting strangled by his female coworker.
Despite the position he was in, Dazai seemed to be enjoying himself. He was still blabbering nonsense to the H/c haired woman, who was a ticking time bomb.
" Just let them be, this happens all the time and is nothing to be worried about." Kunikida spoke and went back to write stuff down in his notebook
He didn't want to go in the café just yet. With you two still arguing, there was no way he would be able to enjoy his usual drink in peace. So he decided to remain outside, with his back pressed against the wall, until at least one of you left.
The silver haired was dumbfounded by the uncare of his comrade.
" You damn suicidal womanizer maniac!"
A loud crash, followed with a body flying out the window made Atsushi shriek and stiffly turn his head. His eyes widen when he noticed Dazai's body on the ground. Not moving, as if he was death
The light silver haired carefully peeked his head through the broken opening to see the H/c haired stand in the middle of the shop. Lowering the arm she used to throw the brown haired idiot with, she lout a deep sigh.
However the look on her face wasn't visible for the heterochromia eyed, as she kept her head low. Causing her hair to dangle in front of her face. Yet Atsushi was able to notice a little amount of red covering her cheeks.
" Sorry for the inconvenience. Put the reparation bill on my name" she monotonously spoke before leaving the cafe and stomping right pass Kunikida and him.
It was only in that little moment, that Atshuhi was able catch a glimpse, which made his hues shrink. Never had he witness that kind of expression on your face
Your eyes were glimmering as if you were about to cry. Your cheeks tinted red and your brows were furrowed.
He was about to go after you but got stopped by Kunikida " It's not your problem to fix, kid" he commented and adjusted his glasses " The one who needs to make sure she's okey, is him"
Atsushi followed the blond's gaze, to his brown haired college, who still remained face first on the ground.
" You hear me Dazai?" the neatly dressed man poked his side, irritably
The suicidal man lifted himself up " I was planning to"
" What did you say to make that angry?" the silver haired questioned
" Oh nothing in particular" Dazai replied while dusting himself off
Kunikida narrowed his eyes " Don't tell me that you once again talked about her lo-?"
" Well I've gotta go find her! " he quickly interjected his friends sentence " See ya"
The two detectives face palmed at their comrade " I swear that idiot never learns.."
" Maybe its just me, but don't you think that Mister Dazai often teases L/n? Maybe even more than anyone else at the agency?" Atsushi mumbled to himself out loud, earning a snicker.
" And it's only now that you notice. Those two are at each others throat twenty four seven" Kunikida made his way inside the cafe and ordered his usual drink. They both took a seat and the light silver haired bit on his nail, trying to think why his suicidal college always did that.
Sure he drove everyone at the agency insane with his playful character. But with you, he always seemed to go a little step further. It often worried him that his comments may hurt your feelings.
Maybe that was the case right now.
Either way for the rest of the afternoon he tried not to think about it and hope that you two reconciled like always.

With your arms behind your head, you laid on the grass near the river. The sound of the running water along with the birds chirping helped you calm your nerves.
" Stupid idiot" you muttered under your breath
You gazed with narrowed eyes at the sky, still upset about what occurred earlier.
Normally you never had a problem with people commenting on the way you looked. You always shrugged of their opinion, telling yourself that this is just your style and it was no ones business to meddle with it.
Yet that didn't mean that it didn't bother you. Just like any other woman that stuff could be a sensitive subject.
And thinking about everything that Dazai had said to you, kinda made you realize that in a way he was right. However that didn't give him permission to rub it in your face.
Sure he would often make jokes about it, but this time he really crossed the line. He should've known when to stop.
Because enough was enough
" By the look of that deep frown on your face, I would say you're still upset?" a familiar, annoying voice spoke, hovering over you with his hands in the pockets of his coat
Not even bothering making eye contact you huffed
Dazai snickered at your reaction and took a seat next to " Would you feel better if I apologized?"
You cocked a brow at him " Why bother when you wouldn't even mean it.."
" Now why would you make that assumption? " he pouted
" Because I know it's you. And you've never meant any of your apologies to anyone as far as I can remember. It's all just a big joke to you" you scoffed " Anyway I don't care about what you told me at the cafe. Let's just forget about it"
The male shifted his head to the side. Despite your statement he could tell that it still lingered in your mind.
Maybe he had gone to far after all..
Hearing shuffling next you, you hoped that the brown haired was about to take his leave. Yet when his face suddenly popped right above yours, did you feel yourself flinch a little but stayed composed
" What now?" you annoyingly grumbled
" I admit that I may have stepped over the line today. However not everything I said was meant as teasing material"
" That's kinda hard to believe " you rolled your eyes
Dazai put a hand near your head for support and lowered himself, his breath tickling your skin. It was only then that it dawned on you how close he was once again getting.
Tho you tried to push aside the fluttering feeling, his piercing and serious look made it quite hard to pretend he wasn't there.
" Remember when I told you that you have your own attractive qualities that make you alluring?"
Not giving him an answer Dazai took this as a sign to continue " Well" he flashed you one of his charming smiles " I wasn't lying about that. You are beautiful in your own way L/n. It may be different but I like that about you"
His words sounded so genuine, his eyes looked soft and had an emotion you couldn't quite distinct. Yet the thought of him messing with you prevented you from lowering your guard.
Clearing your throat you propped yourself on your elbows, forcing Dazai to lean back " Don't take me for a fool " you went to stand on your feet " I won't let you toy with me twice. Save those pathetic compliments for all the other naives woman out there."
Turning around, your hair flipped back and you walked away from the man.
Despite the sense of proud for not falling into one of his games, the fluttering feeling in your stomach didn't vanish right away.
And so the smile that wasn't visible for the brown haired remained plastered on your face.
Dazai watched your figure growing smaller in the distance until he couldn't see you any longer. He blinked a couple of times before a soft chuckled escaped his lips and he let himself lay on the grass with his arms spread
" What does a guy have to do to be taken seriously "

I'm finally watching Bungo stray dogs and so I had this sudden idea, for I think is one of the main characters? Dazai's childish personality is something that makes the anime pleasant to watch.
