"Thank God! This would give her some time to decide",Kanyaka talked to herself.
" Aunty! The guy seems good, but still not sure what is going to come out. All I can say is give them some time, if they have to fit in they would definitely if they are meant to ", Anika spoke out her POV.
" I want to change. Excuse me",Ekantha excused herself and went back to her room. She changed into casuals and sat on the bed processing the things that happened since morning.
Her phone beeped and she took the phone into her hands and with the face lock it was unlocked.
It read a missed call and a text from an unknown number. The true caller showed it as Abhishek Bachan.
She was confused, the text read it as a "Hey, Abhi here".
She thought his name was Abhimanyu, did she hear it wrong? She decided to confirm it with him.
" You are Abhimanyu only right?",she texted him and waited for his response.
While waiting, the profile picture caught her attention. It was of Amitabh Bachan, now this made her even more suspicious.
Just when she was lost in her own thoughts, her phone vibrated showing that the unknown number was calling her.
"Hello?",the voice came from other side.
" Abhi garu?",she asked suspiciously.
"Yes! Ekantha. It's me why do you sound so low? Did something happen?",he asked.
" No no! I am alright. I was just lost in thoughts. I just wanted to confirm it was you, not that I give my contact to everyone but I was a bit preferring to be more anonymous to every one",she said biting her lower lip.
"Alright then, I have some work this Wednesday and today is Monday. Are you free this weekend?",he asked.
" Weekend? Yea! It won't take long right?",she asked.
"I am not sure about how long it would take, so your complete Saturday and Sunday would be with me. Of course like a date maybe? Only if you agree",he said with hesitation clearly visible in his voice.
This time Ekantha was confused too, should she give in? Two days from her routine would go away and the following day would be her first day. She didn't wanted to say a NO to him neither did she want to postpone it because it was a great thing in her POV that their parents agreed for few more meets.
"Ekantha? Hello?",he spoke from the other side.
" It's fine with me. Please inform me the day before as in where we would be going so that I would make arrangements",she said.
"Sure! Good night Ekantha",he wished her.
" Good night Abhi garu ",she said and hanged up the call.
Ekantha's POV :
What a human am I? Why will Abhishek bachan message me? Maybe someone from his friends saved his name like that. But to be honest, seeing Big B picture and then Abhishek Bachan as name won't anybody think that?
Never mind. He was sweet to me and that is what is making me suspicious. Now a days, nothing is real and nobody is real. They do have some hidden motive if they are good, maybe Abhi is also expecting something from me? Maybe not and he is actually a good guy? Muruga help me! I am struck up in this situation.
Authors POV
During the dinner time, nobody from the family spoke a word. They were all silent and the uncomfortable silence spoke many words which were not heard.
"Ma, pass me that water bottle",Ekantha spoke out and Kanyaka gave her the water bottle.
Ketan cleared his throat, gaining attention from his wife and and daughter.
" Ekantha, take things in your pace and don't be afraid of anything. We are with you dear",Ketan spoke out.
"Hmm",she just hmmed at response and continued having her dinner.
Anika and Dikshit left to their home. Ekantha had to go and meet Vennela the next day.
" Ma, tomorrow I am going to Vennela's home",she spoke in a low voice.
"Oh okay dear, when will you go?",Kanyaka asked.
" After breakfast, I have some more preparations to do too",she said and left to her room.
She fell on the bed and started thinking about things deeply. While thinking about it she dozed off into deep sleep. The next morning with the melodious sound of cuckoo, Ekantha got up from her bed.
She freshened up and got ready in a peach colour kurti with a palazo. She took a look at her phone and smiled as she received a good morning message from Abhi.
After giving it a thought of million times, she replied him back with "Good morning 🙂"
She went to the living room while she saw a smiley face as a reply from him. She left him on read and sat on the dining table.
"Kanna, are you going to be there for lunch?",her mother asked.
" I don't know amma. But better don't prepare for me. If I come, I will make something myself ",she said and gave her a painful smile.
" Kanna, I know you are still upset with me and your father. Trust me! Nothing is going to proceed a step if you don't approve him",she said in a calm voice.
"Amma, this match came without my approval. What about that?",she asked.
Her mother kept mum, knowing that no matter what she speaks now there would be no use. Ekantha left out a sarcastic chuckle and completed her breakfast without any further talks.
She left home and went to a sweet shop to buy some sweets. She did not wanted to go with empty hands to her friend's home. Along with that she brought some fruits and drove towards Vennela's home. The location was given by Vennela's mother.
It was far from her home and with the Hyderabad traffic she managed to reach Vennela's home within 2 hours. She parked her scooty in front of the home and removed her helmet.
She took the lift and reached third floor of the apartment. She looked around to find 303, when she found it, with a wide smile she pressed the door bell. In a few minutes Vennela's mother opened the door and welcomed her in.
Ekantha handed over the sweets and fruits to her and settled down on the sofa.
"Just wait here dear, I will bring Vennela. It's a surprise for her",she said and Ekanatha nodded.
After a few minutes, Vennela eyes we're blindfolded and she came into the living room. When she removed her blindfolds she blinked and adjusted to the surrounding.
"Vennu, guess who is this?",her mother asked Vennela.
"I am not able to guess maa",she said and made a sad face.
" Remember when we were in Warangal, your school best friend! Ekantha ",her mother reminded.
" OMG! ARE YOU SERIOUS MOM?",she ran to Ekantha and engulfed her into a tight hug.
"Ah! I missed you so much Sweetie! How are you?",she asked.
" I am fine Vennu! How are you?",she asked with a broad smile. Tears were just about to flow down her cheeks. The same situation was with Vennela too.
They just hugged each other and cried all they could and Vennela's mother adored them.
Finally when they felt they have cried enough, both of them broke the hug and wiped each other's tears.
"You don't have any idea sweetie, how much I missed you after you were gone",Vennela told and held her arms and kept her head on Ekantha's shoulder.
" I missed you too Vennu, after Anika and Dikshit you were the only person who understood me inside out. Nobody could ever fill in your place. It's still the same in my heart",Ekantha said and Vennu smiled at her.
"There are a lot of things to cover up, so lunch you will do here only. End of the discussion, maa today kitchen to my handle. I will make Ekantha's favourites and we will spend sometime together too",Vennu declared.
" As you wish both of you. You both carry on, I have some work at school. I will be back by afternoon",Vennu's mother said and went to school after fifteen minutes.
Both the friends decided to make some vegetable pulao and paneer butter masala along with potato fries.
Ekantha was chopping vegetables and Vennu was getting things ready.
"Sweetie, how did you meet maa?",she asked and Ekantha narrated the whole story.
" Aww! Glad that maa found out who you were. Wait wait! You are getting married soon that means?",she asked.
"It's still not an yes neither from his side nor from my side Vennu. We planned to meet this weekend. Should see how things will workout",Ekantha said seeming lost in her own world.
" What's his name?",she asked.
"Abhimanyu",Ekantha whispered.
"Good name. What does he do?",Vennu asked.
"He has his own start up. He is an event manager and a photographer too",she said in a go.
" Woah! Seems like you know a lot about him",Vennu nudged Ekantha playfully.
"No Vennu, I know only that much. Nothing about his personality and his attitude. Do you know what he did, he placed his hand on my shoulder? How am I supposed to take that as Vennu? I felt it really stupid. I am still not sure about him",she spoke her mind out.
" Don't worry sweetie! If you both are destined things will definitely work. Don't over think about it",Vennu said while patting her cheek.
"I hope the same Vennu. By the way are you in touch with any of our classmates?",Ekantha asked.
" Oh yes! We have our group as well! Gimme your number I will add it. You remember that Rahul?",she asked.
"Yea! That tall one",Ekantha tried to recall him.
" Yes yes! Rahul Sharma. Being the most flirty person in the whole class. He got married few months back and can you believe it was an arranged marriage. I could not believe it. Things take such a turn right Sweetie?",she said and continued to speak while Ekantha was lost in thoughts thinking about what Vennu was speaking.

I am back with an update. A long one! Yea?
I hope you all enjoyed it. Finally my exams are done but the worst part is offline classes start from Monday. Before I enjoy a day, this thing came up.
But don't worry, I will try to update whenever I can. I won't keep on hold or slow updates. Maybe weekly twice I can assure you that.
