I feel as though

Anyone who comes to visit me

Are visiting

A zoo

They are only passing by

To be entertained

And have fun

But don't even realise

How desperate I am

To leave

To get out of this cage

I'm pacing

And pacing

With nothing to do

I watch them

Hoping maybe they'll understand

But they only smile and stay with me for a very short while

Don't get me wrong

I love a trip to the zoo

But I see them

And think of me

We both just want to be free

Yet here we are

Pacing and pacing

With nothing to do

And nowhere to go
