3rd person pov
Harry has been on edge all day it's been 3 days since he found out Alexis is pregnant
it's eating him alive because he wants her to tell him on her own
But he's also dying to ask her
Alexis was starting to pack up her desk to go home for the night, there was only about an hour left till their shift ended
"Yeah no problem, mhm, okay yes 9:30 on the 10th" she spoke cheerily "great have a good day" Alexis hung up saving the new event to her calendar
"Baby?" She hummed as she scanned over the color coded calendar and saw some things were not approved by him when he didn't answer she turned to face him "Harry?" He looked at her over his shoulder "you haven't approved several of the calendar updates"
He didn't say anything as he opened his calendar to read over her changes
She got up and walked over she leaned down putting her hands on his shoulders to give him a massage "lover boy what's wrong?"
He didn't answer he just started to approve some things
She frowned deeply leaning down so her chin was on his shoulder "Adonis?" He looked down at her his jaw locked and his face still toward his screen "what's wrong mm?" She nuzzled her face into his cheek
"Nothing"
She pouted "baby..." she cooed "please tell me what's wrong"
He reached up putting a hand in her hair "'em ok" he kissed her nose
"Okay if you say so" she stood up massaging him for a moment longer "how about a nice warm bath when we get home? I'll make you some tea or maybe we could have some of those brownies Mrs.Short made with a glass of cold milk? I think that sounds really good don't you?"
"It does... yeah" he was actually looking forward to a hot bath and didn't mind a sweet
There was a knock at Alexis's door "COME IN" she yelled
Jeremy peeked in when he didn't see her he opened the door timidly poking his head in "yes?" Alexis asked Jeremy jumped turning toward the voice
"Oh... Uh c-can I speak with you? J-just for a moment"
"Yeah" she kissed Harry's cheek as she stepped back into her office to speak with him
"I was just trying to figure out why there's a new person in IT no one told me we were getting a new person and apparently I'm supposed to be training them..." he was fiddling with his fingers as he spoke being close to Harry made him incredibly nervous
He was working on a computer not too far from the guy Harry had his last meltdown on
"Oh Uh I don't know I didn't hear about anyone moving I'm gunna call Jillian in HR and we'll figure this out" Alexis sat partially on her desk as she picked up her phone dialing "hi Jill is Alexis mm good and you? Good mm so quick question who got put in the I.T department?" She nodded then raised her eyebrows "right I didn't think so either... no no take your time" she lowered the phone pressing it to her chest and shoulder "no one new was supposed to be added" she filled in Jeremy then put the phone back to her ear
"Yes I'm here" she nodded "okay yeah no they don't have the authority to move around workers like that thank you Jill, oh you too bye-bye" she hung up looking at Jeremy "they are getting moved back now the floor manger over stepped thats all"
Jeremy smiled softly "I've been making calls and sending out emails all day no one could give me an answer yet it took you less than 10 minutes"
"I know people Jer" she laughed
"Thank you I had no time to prepare to train anyone and I was so nervous"
"No problem" Alexis smiled
"Uh if you don't mind c-can I come have lunch with you tom-"
He was cut off by Harry ,rather loudly, slamming his hands on his desk as he stood "cars waiting" he said with a hint of irritation as he walked straight out his office door smacking his light switch off
Alexis frowned she quickly turned off her computer grabbing her bags "how about you email me? I'm sorry I've got to go" she patted his back as he stepped out so she could turn off the lights and leave
"O-okay yeah thanks"
"Have a good day, get home safe" she cooed
As she stepped into the elevator with Harry she was silent till the doors closed, as soon as it shut she turned to look at Harry "that was rude"
"What was?" He asked as if he really didn't see anything wrong with how he just acted
She crossed her arms one of her bags falling down off her shoulder "ya know he's not always that nervous"
Harry grabbed the bag that was now awkwardly hanging on her forearm she let him grab it but kept talking "he's very chill but you make him that nervous" she scowled
"Why would he want to have lunch with you?" Harry asked cocking an eyebrow
The doors opened they stepped out completely in sync "you wouldn't want to have lunch with me?" She questioned
He sighed "you're my girlfriend"
"So if I wasn't you wouldn't want to have lunch with me?"
He held open the door for her she stepped out muttering as small thank you "I would, I would always want to have lunch with you I'm in love with you but he should not be around you"
It was slightly drizzling outside just enough to get you wet but not enough to make you want to run for coverage
"Why not? He's my friend!"
"Yeah well if you were dating him and not me I'd sure as hell want to be your friend too" he hoped she got the point
"Not every man wants to get in my pants Harry" he unlocked the car opening the passenger door for her
"As a man I can assure you they do"
"What about you and Jennifer? Do you want to fuck her?" She asked as she slipped in
Harry rolled his jaw "no" he put the bag at her feet
"And she's gorgeous" she snapped he closed her door walking around to get into the drivers seat "So he probably doesn't wanna fuck me" she continued "besides that fact I'm not going to fuck him" she buckled up fluffing out her damp bangs
Harry nodded "that unfortunately doesn't mean it won't happen" he frowned starting the car tugging his damp hair out from his face
She was disgusted he could think that Jeremy would hurt her "HARRY! Jeremy is so sweet, he'd never do that! Not to me not to anyone"
"I didn't say he would" he rolled his jaw "Can we not talk about Jeremy anymore?" He raised his voice ever so slightly to show his annoyance
"What is up with you? You've got a real piss poor attitude" she hissed
"Im fine" he said coldly
"did I do something?" She asked
He got to a red light so he looked at her "I dunno did you?"
She shook her head "that's why I'm fucking asking"
"Well maybe you should figure that out" he looked back at the road
"Oh hell no you are not going to treat me like this" she unbuckled he glanced at her
"What are you doing?"
"Stop the car"
He reached over to grab the seat belt "buckle up"
"No! stop the car"
He snatched the buckle from her hands and buckled it back "don't do that"
"Harry I want to get out, stop the car" she said calmly
"No" he answered
"Stop!" She tried to unbuckle it but he had his hand over it stopping her from pressing the release button
"I can ride like this the whole way home" he said sternly "I'm not letting you out on the side of the fucking road especially not when it's raining you've lost your damn mind" he growled
They rode in silence the rest of the way he didn't let go of her buckle until he parked as soon as his hand let up she unbuckled and got out storming inside
Harry stepped out calmly grabbing her purse and work bag trailing behind at his own leisurely pace
When he stepped in he didn't see her he put her purse and work bag where she usually put them "where did she go?" He asked Mrs.Short seeing her from his peripheral vision
"I think toward the bedroom" she answered he kept walking
He got to his door and stepped in he didn't see her but the door to the closet was open
He walked over she was in the closet she was packing a bag her heels off and her hair up in a bun
He cocked an eyebrow "what do you think you're doing?"
She glanced at him "what do I think I'm doing? I'll tell you what I am doing, I'm packing a bag"
"Why?"
"Because you're acting like you did 5 months ago and I told you I wasn't going to put up with that again so until you figure your shit out I'm leaving" she was shoving just bunches of underwear, a stack of folded shirts, another stack of shorts and random other things into her bag
"And you think I'm going to let you walk out?"
She stopped and looked at him "let? You don't need to 'let' me do anything"
He nodded "so this was all a plan to leave me?"
She turned to face her body toward his "what?"
"This was a plan to fucking leave me!" He yelled "you're going to Niall, I mean you fucking told him first! He already called and let me in on your little plan!"
"What in the actual fuck are you talking about!?" She shook her head
"YOU'RE PREGNANT!" Harry roared "YOU'RE 5 MONTHS PREGNANT AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME" he stepped toward
She blinked "I-I tried but you-"
"NIALL TOLD ME, HE ALSO TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO TAKE YOU AND MY BABY" he rolled his jaw "SO WHAT? NOW YOU'RE GOING TO HIM?"
She looked down at her bag "I-I was going to go by Brandie..."
"AND DOES SHE KNOW YOU'RE PREGNANT? WHO ELSE KNOWS? WHO ELSE BESIDE ME ,THE FUCKING FATHER, KNOWS YOU'RE PREGNANT!?"
"Just him and Mrs.Short" she put a hand on her stomach "Harry I tried to tell you"
"You tried?" He stepped closer again snagging the bag off her shoulder tossing it onto the seat in the middle of the closet "you tried? Is that your excuse?"
"It's not an excuse! What was I supposed to do!? You heard no and you said GOOD! YOU DIDN'T EVEN LET ME FINISH MY SENTENCE!" she explained
"Yeah well it's been 5 months Alexis, 5 whole fucking months... so when were you going to tell me?"
She opened her mouth before she closed it again "I don't know" she murmured
"Niall knew from the start? You called him with your test before me?" She nodded "now what? You're going to get with him and Jennifer?"
"No! No no I'm not getting with Niall, I was never going to get with Niall!" she frowned deeply "he-he was just happy when I told him I was pregnant" she whimpered "he was excited like I was"
Harry could hear her voice start to give meaning she was about to cry
He didn't want her to think he was upset because she was pregnant, he's upset because she didn't tell him
"I've been trying to get you pregnant for about a month, nearly 2 now"
She looked up at him her watery eyes wide "w-what?"
"I've had a condom in my jeans almost every time we made love and didn't use it" he crossed his arms
"You... want a Baby?" She asked in utter disbelief
He let out a deep sigh "I didn't at first- but you were right I'm not my father and I'm not going to hurt my child how he hurt me" he bit his lip "you're the best possible woman for me to have a baby with because I love you so damn much "
"Harry!" She cried and held her arms open to him he pulled her into his arms rubbing her back
"No need to be so emotional my love" he cooed kissing her head
"I can't help it" she sniffled
He chuckled lightly "right" she's pregnant she's hormonal, he's got to get that through his head
She IS pregnant
he pulled away and kneeled down in front of her level with her stomach rubbing her growing bump "I genuinely haven't noticed a difference" he mumbled "how long do you think you could have gone?" He was curious
"Not much longer" she lifted up her dress to show a shaper underneath "I just made it to the point that it was too round to not be a Baby" the baggy clothes around the house also helped conceal a lot
He reached up under her dress and pulled the shaper off she stepped out he rubbed again this time actually feeling how much more round it was
He looked up at her "you're so damn beautiful"
"I love you" she cooed
"I love you, both of you" he kissed her stomach
