About the fine making of statues

And the history of busts

You could write essays upon essays

About gothic architecture

You'd wander the museum for hours

Upon hours

I bet

If security let you

You'd stay there for days

Weeks on end

I tried

So hard to understand

I was fascinated

By your own fascination

Maybe

The reason you left me

Was because

You were smart enough

To know

I was no good

For you

But even after you left

I still wandered the museum

For hours

Even if never enjoyed going there

I was just waiting

Hoping

I'd run into you
