I wake up and all the guys are gone. Julie is sitting on my bed next to me, on her phone. She notices I'm awake, "Morning sleeping beauty!"
I groan, "What time is it?"
"11:30... I think this is a new record for you."
"Where are the guys?"
"They're with Willie, they're trying to work their magic. For the Orpheum ya know?"
"Look, even if we don't get in, I'm still going. Panic! At The Disco! will be there and I'm not missing Brendon Urie."
She giggled. "Alright then. We need to get going though, because the guys should be back soon."
"Okay," I walked over to my closet and grabbed sweatpants and a tight-fitting shirt. I grab a bra from my dresser and go to the bathroom to change.
We both walked downstairs and my mom was cooking, "Bacon ladies?"
"Yes please! I'm starving," I walked over to the plate next to her.
Julie took some too, "I said for them to meet us in the garage, so we need to go."
"Alright, bye mom!" I kissed her on the cheek and walked out the door.
We walked to Julie's house and we sat on the couch in the garage. After only 5 minutes Julie started pacing. She was making me nervous. The boys poofed in.
"Oh my gosh! What took you guys so long? Did Willie do it? Did you talk to them? Did they watch? Did they like us? Are we playing? Someone answer! Why's no one talking?"
I snickered, "Jules, slow down."
Reggie was flabbergasted, "Woah! That's a lot of questions."
Luke smiled, "Sit down," she did. "It's fine, everything is fine."
Alex smiled, "You should be getting a call right... now!" he pointed and nothing happened. "Let me try that again... right... now!"
A couple seconds passed and Julie's phone started ringing. She just smiled at us.
"Answer it Jules!"
She put it on speaker, "Hello?"
"Hi, this is Tasha from the Orpheum in Hollywood." We all started celebrating. "Is this Julie of The Phantom Crew?"
She froze and so did everyone else. She took it off speaker. "Yes, it is."
We all continued to celebrate. "Are you available to open for us tonight?"
"Yeah totally!" Julie was jumping up and down.
"Okay."
"Thank you so much!" She hung up. "We're doing it!"
She hugged me and I yelled, "We're playing the Orpheum baby! Yeah!"
Alex jumped on Reggie and Luke. They had him on their heads. He started moving his arms, "I'm swimming!" Julie and I just giggled.
I gasped, "Julie! We need to go shopping!"
"I think I'm going to wear something of my mom's, but I'll come with you!"
I pull out my phone and call my mom. "Mom we did it! We're playing the Orpheum tonight!"
Julie and I were walking out of the garage, "I knew you girls were talented! So what are you going to wear?"
"I don't know yet, me and Jules are going to the boutiques now-"
"You aren't paying for your clothes the day you get to play the Orpheum! I'm coming to get you girls and we'll make it a day! We'll have milkshakes and everything!"
"Yeah okay!" I pull the phone away from my ear, "Jules, go let your dad know what's happening."
"Alrighty!" she replied as she rushed up to the house.
"Mom, I love you, I'll see you in a bit."
"I love you too!"
I hung up and went back into the garage. "Alex, any requests on the color I should wear?"
"Light blue, without a doubt... that color looks fantastic on you."
"I agree!" Luke said raising his hand.
"Okay," I snickered.
"Y/N! Let's go!"
"Coming Jules!" I point my fingers at the boys, "You be good until I get back."
Reggie gave me a military salute, "Yes ma'am!"
I skip out the garage and to Julie. We get in my mom's car that is at the end of the driveway. She takes us to the locally-owned boutiques. I walk into the first one and start searching for something light blue. No luck.
We go to a second boutique that's owned by an older woman who makes all of the items by hand. I see a beautiful dress on a mannequin. I walk over to it and see the price tag. I quickly walk away.
The dress is just my size too. We walk around to a couple other boutiques, but none of them have a good dress. Julie and I are very thirsty and my mom notices.
"How about you girls go to the ice creamery down the street and get something?" she opened her wallet and gave me a $20 bill. "I saw something in a boutique that I want to look at."
"Okay mom!"
"Thanks Loraine!"
Julie and I walk to my favorite small-business ice cream place. She orders a strawberry milkshake and I order chocolate. We sit in a corner and wait for our shakes. They're done, so I go get them.
We sip on our milkshakes and my mom comes through the door. She has two bags in her hands. One is from the boutique with the dress and the other is from a sneaker place. She puts the bags down and I see some blue.
"Mom! You didn't."
Julie laughed, "She did!"
I stood up and hugged my mom, "Thank you."
"Aw sweetie, you're welcome! I wanted you to have something for your big gig! I was supporting a small business anyways!"
We sit around and talk for a little while. We drop Julie off, not before showing Alex my dress. We go home and find a garment bag. I take out the sneakers my mom got me.
I find some tight-fitting black shorts to match the backs of the shoes. I put the shoes on and lace them up. I find my makeup bag and put some white and blue eyeshadow, mascara, concealer, a beauty sponge, and lip gloss inside.
I skip downstairs and put the bag in my garment bag. Julie texts me a picture of what she's going to wear. I love it (you guys know the fit). My mom picks up the bag and starts heading out the door with me on her heels. Ray is driving us, Julie, Carlos, and Victoria tonight.
I walk into the garage and smile when I see the guys, but Alex and Reggie look like they just been hit by a bus. "Are you guys okay?"
Reggie groans, "Yeah. We just got rocked pretty hard by one of those jolts."
Julie walks in behind me, Alex says, "But we're fine."
"Jolts?" she asks.
Luke sighs at his band-mates, "Yeah."
Julie looks at Alex, "Alex can I talk to you for a second?"
"Yeah sure!" he goes over to her and they stand by the garage door.
I look at Reggie, "I wish there was a way I could have helped you guys..." I could feel the tears burning, "I love you and I'm going to miss you and Alex."
Reg started collecting tears too, "I love you too, Y/N." He came over and gave me a bear hug.
Alex and Julie came back. "Band circle?" Luke asks.
We all get in a circle. "We don't know what brought us here, but we do know that these two girls are stars. And even though it's our last night together, I have no doubt that the boys will be watching us from above... or..." he looked down. I lightly elbowed him. "Let's go rock this show and give 'em a night they'll be talking about when the sun comes up! Legends on three." He put his hand out.
I put mine on top of his, "One."
Julie put hers on top of mine, "Two."
Alex and Reggie put their hands on ours, "Three!" Came from both of them.
"Legends!" We all shouted.
We heard a honk and it was Ray. "Y/N, I'm going to go, I'll give you a sec."
"Okay Jules," she walked away.
I could feel the tears stinging my eyes again, I looked at Alex and Reggie, "I'm going to miss you guys so much!"
They both threw themselves at me. They didn't like seeing me cry. Luke was rubbing my back. Then, out of nowhere, we heard an all too familiar voice.
"Well isn't this sweet?"
