Fond memories

The key does turn in the lock,

Enter upon a scene of candles,

Surprise upon your face.

Silently we embrace.

My finger upon your lips,

A signal for your silence.

Deep down you understand.

I seat you at the table,

Your gaze travels all around.

A silent gasp escapes your lips,

As flowers all around abound.

Roses, orchids, carnations and many more,

Greet your perception.

Before you, I place a feast of delicacies.

I pluck a choclate strawberry,

And feed you sensuously,

Oh so slowly...

Bit by bit, apple, banana,  kiwi too,

I let you savour their sweet temptations.

All the while Barry softly croons in your ear.

Gently I raise you up and kiss your lips,

Taste the fruits upon my tongue.

I twirl you round,

Dance you to the bathroom,

Where a tub of bubbles awaits.

Slowly I disrobe you,

Guide you within the warmth.

Once more a  sigh does escape,

It brings pleasure to my heart.

Gently do I bathe you within,

Washing away your aches.

Your chest does rise,

Enjoying the sweet aroma.

Awhile I let you lie,

Enjoying the waters warmth,

But soon I guide you into a towels embrace.

Drying you gingerly, takes oh so long...

Once more I lead you...

Bedroom bound you are.

I lay you upon the bed,

I can feel your anticipation as you quiver.

In your hand, I place some wine,

One by one your feet I massage,

Then the rest of you.

Your sighs feed my happiness,

As I relieve your stress.

No word I have spoken yet,

To early it still is.

The night is in its infancy,

No need to rush on, enjoy.

I kiss you once more yearning,

Savour the chardonnay.

With lust in your eyes,

You lunge for me, like cat upon a mouse.

Softly I lay you back down.

Scented oil does come next,

Upon your skin I do rub.

Every goose bump I trace lovingly.

Upon your back I do write.

I love you.

It takes but only one try for you to get.

You turn and kiss me once more.

The silence is eating me up inside.

I stand and upon you I look,

The woman I so much love.

Upon my knee I do bend.

In the candles glow,

A glint does catch your eye,

Your eyes do light up at the sight,

Now and only now I do speak,

"Will you marry me?"

An eternity seems to pass,

While my heart stands still.

I almost did not hear your answer,

"Yes!"

Tears that day did we shed,

Not of pain but of joy.

Here I sit and remember the day,

The day you first said yes to me.
