With his hands folded behind his back, Klaus watched as Caroline downed whatever alcohol was left in the plastic cup that she held in her hand before he said to her, "Desperate times I take it."

After tossing the cup into the garbage can she was holding, Caroline asked him, "What are you doing here?"

Klaus replied, "Not judging you for starters, although if you are determined to get drunk, then perhaps I might recommend something a little more sanitary."

In response to his words, Caroline grabbed another plastic cup and downed the alcohol in that one before also tossing it into the garbage can.

Klaus said to her, "Well, then. You showed me."

Caroline asked him, "Shouldn't you be out chasing Tyler to the ends of the earth, or are there still some hopes and dreams you want to crush around here?"

Klaus replied, "Depends. Do you happen to know where the young Brutus is?"

Caroline said to him, "I know where he's not– with me. He gave Matt the deed to the house, so he's gone for good."

Klaus nodded his head to himself and took a couple of steps closer to Caroline as he said, "Tyler made it his life's mission to kill me. You can't hate me for driving him away."

Caroline replied, "No. I can, and I do. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to spiraling, so go away."

It was then that Annabelle had entered the room with a blood bag in hand and said to Caroline, "Sorry, love, but neither of us can leave just yet."

With a scoff, Caroline opened her mouth to respond, only to stop when Stefan had said from behind her, "Actually, I asked him to be here. We need his help. I think Silas is in Mystic Falls."

After looking away from Stefan, Caroline asked him, "Okay, I get why Klaus has to be here, but why does Annabelle have to be here? Last I checked, she still wants to kill us all after what happened to Finn and Kol."

With a chuckle, Annabelle said to her, "Oh, don't you worry your pretty, little head, darling. I still want to kill you and your friends, but according to Klaus, business trumps any personal issues that I may have with you lot."

Just as Caroline was about to respond, Klaus told Caroline, "After hearing about how Annabelle had not only snapped Rebekah's neck but had also resorted to murdering several families once more, I felt that keeping her busy in the meantime until her apparent diabolical plan actually happens would help with ensuring that she doesn't lose any more control of herself."

After eyeing Annabelle with furrowed eyebrows, Caroline turned to Stefan and asked him, "Are you sure that having her here will be a good idea?" After looking back at Annabelle, whose head was tilted to the side and happened to have a blank look on her face, she looked back at Stefan and said, "I mean, come on, Stefan. You and I both know just how much she'd love to kill us all after what happened to Kol."

After sighing to himself, Stefan said, "Look, Caroline, as much as I would love to have Annabelle as far from this place as possible, we do need all the help we could get." Just as Caroline was about to argue with him, he said, "Besides out of everyone in their family, Annabelle and Klaus are the strongest ones in their family. It would be stupid to not get their help with this sort of thing."

With a scoff, Caroline turned her head to look away from Stefan, just in time to see that Annabelle was mockingly waving at her with a plastered grin on her face.

With a sigh, Annabelle tilted her head and watched Klaus pour himself a glass of scotch, while he said to Stefan, "So some blood went missing from a few hospitals. What about Elena? Don't vampires with their humanity off tend to overindulge in human blood, or were you the exception?"

While Annabelle only chuckled to herself as she shook her head to herself, Stefan said to Klaus, "It's not Elena." After glancing over at Annabelle, he asked, "And what makes you think it wasn't Annabelle? I mean, you and I both know that Annabelle doesn't exactly have complete control of herself when it comes to human blood. What makes you so sure it wasn't her? I mean, after all, she came in here with a blood bag in hand."

Klaus sighed before he said to Stefan, "Yeah, that's the thing about Annabelle. She doesn't indulge herself in human blood from blood bags unless she considers it to be completely and utterly necessary, and the last time she did that, aside from today, was when both me and Annabelle were trapped inside of the Gilbert living room while you lot went on a treasure hunt of your own in your attempt of finding the cure. But unfortunately for you lot, Katerina had gotten to it first, which made your hunt for the cure and the murder of our brother, Kol, to be completely and utterly meaningless."

It was then that Annabelle's hands had clenched into fists, which got her veins to come onto display.

As a result of Annabelle's reaction upon hearing Kol's name be mentioned, Stefan simply eyed the unstable Original and took a step back, while Klaus said to him, "Well, let's say for a moment that it was Silas." As he sat down onto the couch and beside Annabelle, he said, "I'm struggling to see how this affects me and Annabelle."

Stefan told him, "Look. Silas wants to die and be reunited with his one true love, but he's supernatural, so if he takes the cure and dies, he gets stuck on the other side."

Klaus replied, "How Shakespearian."

While Klaus started to drink out of his glass, Stefan said, "But if he destroys the other side altogether, he can take the cure, die, and pass on, but in destroying it, every dead supernatural being will return to our side."

It was then that Caroline had said to the two Originals, "That means every werewolf, every witch, every vampire. I wonder how many of those you two personally killed. Care yet?"

In response to Caroline's words, Annabelle slowly tilted her head and narrowed her eyes at Caroline.

Just as she was about to get up out of her seat and go towards the youngest vampire, Klaus grabbed Annabelle by the arm and said to Stefan and Caroline, "My interest is piqued. How do we stop him?"

Stefan told him, "Bonnie said Silas needs to complete three massacres to do this spell. Before Professor Shane died, he convinced the pastor to blow up the council. Next, he had you kill your hybrids, and now he only needs one more massacre, so if he's here, that's what he's doing. We need to find him."

After ripping her arm out of Klaus's grasp, Annabelle said, "Oh, do we?"

With a scoff, Caroline looked over at Annabelle and said, "Yeah, we do. Or would you rather your parents come back and try to kill you again?"

With a scoff of her own, Annabelle replied, "I'd like to see them try."

Caroline was about to respond to Annabelle, only to stop when Stefan simply shook his head at her.

And with that, Caroline looked away from Annabelle and ignored Annabelle, who was currently chuckling to herself.

With a sigh, Annabelle stepped into a room right behind Stefan and looked around at all kinds of things that practically covered the whole entire room, while Caroline asked aloud, "What are we even looking for?"

With a scoff, Annabelle replied, "What do you think?"

Just as Caroline was about to respond, Stefan said to them, "Please don't start." While Annabelle only sighed to herself and Caroline had rolled her eyes, Stefan told them, "Well, if Shane really was working with Silas, chances are he was helping him plan his next move."

Caroline replied, "Where, on his evil villain to-do list– steal blood, perform three massacres, pick up dry cleaning?"

While Annabelle picked up random objects and tossed them behind her without a care about whether or not they broke, Klaus turned to Caroline and said to her, "Actually not to nit-pick, but we evil villains usually use minions to pick up our dry cleaning, that sort of thing."

It was then that Caroline turned to Stefan and asked, "Why are they necessary again?"

Stefan replied, "Well, we don't know what Silas can do, so if we have to go head-to-head with him, an Original Hybrid who can't die and an incredibly mentally unstable Original vampire that almost always goes off the rails might come in handy."

It was then that a random object hit the side of Stefan's head, which got him to groan and rub the side of his head, while Annabelle simply grinned to herself as she walked over and grabbed the object before she said to him, "My apologies. My aim must be off for some reason."

While Caroline narrowed her eyes at Annabelle, who only smirked at Caroline in response, Klaus said to Caroline, "And besides, Stefan and I work well together, or at least we did in the twenties."

As he made sure to dodge yet another object that was flying towards him, Stefan replied, "Well, granted my, uh, my emotions were off."

Klaus told him, "And that's why you were more fun, just as Damon is probably relishing in Elena's emotionless company in New York."

Stefan said to him, "My brother knows what he's doing."

With a scoff, Annabelle tossed yet another useless object, while Klaus replied, "Does he? Don't underestimate the allure of darkness, Stefan. Even the purest hearts are drawn to it." After watching how Annabelle had scrunched her nose, Klaus chuckled to himself before he said, "Still, I'm sure it will all be fine."

It was then that Caroline said, "Uh, I think I found something." As she walked over towards where the other three were standing, she read aloud, "Symbolic Figures in the Dark Arts."

After Caroline placed it on a desk, she asked, "Didn't Bonnie talk about Expression Triangles? Here."

As he placed a couple of fingers on the book, Stefan read aloud, "In some schools of magic such as Expression, human sacrifice can be used as a focus for power. It's rumored that the addition of two supernatural sacrifices compounds the mystical energy, creating an Expression Triangle."

Then Caroline pointed at the illustrated picture as she said, "Humans– that was the council fire. Demons– Klaus's hybrid failure."

While Annabelle simply chuckled to herself, Klaus replied, "Well, I wouldn't exactly call it a failure. What's the third?"

It was then that Caroline had brought her hands up to her face as she said, "Oh, no."

With a sigh, Annabelle said, "Oh, bloody hell, Caroline. How about instead of being all dramatic about it, you just tell us what it says?"

Instead of giving Annabelle yet another snarky remark, Caroline looked over at Annabelle and said, "Look at this."

After sharing a look with Klaus, Annabelle walked over to the book and after looking to see what it said, Annabelle shrugged and said, "I've never been that big of a fan of witches, anyway."

Then Annabelle simply brought out her blood bag and started to drink out of it, while Caroline stared at her with furrowed eyebrows.

With a sigh, Annabelle asked, "Remind me again why I have to walk with you, instead of my pain in the ass of a brother?"

As he looked around for any signs of any witches, Stefan replied, "Because, Annabelle, even though I don't trust that you won't just decide to kill me at any given second, you're one of the strongest members of your family. You wouldn't let something such as a simple coven of witches stop you from killing them, so I figured it'd be better to be walking with someone that has your type of reputation than be with Klaus right now."

After scoffing to herself, Annabelle was about to respond, only to stop when she heard a voice yell, "Yield to the spirits, Bonnie! You can't fight us!"

It was then that Stefan had sped towards the witches and said to them, "Stop. It's not what you think."

The witch who was kneeled behind Bonnie said to him, "This is no place for a vampire." Then she looked behind him and saw Annabelle, who was leaning against a tree with her arms crossed over her chest, before she looked back at Stefan and said, "Or an Original one, at that."

Stefan told the witch, "She's working for Silas."

The witch said to him, "Silas?"

Stefan told the witch, "He brainwashed her to kill you." When she took out a knife, he said, "Wait. What are you doing?"

The witch said to him, "If Silas has her, she's lost. We can't save her."

After saying 'wait', Stefan took a step towards the witch, only to stop when she had raised a hand and held it out towards him, which resulted in Stefan falling onto his knees before she raised her other hand and held it out towards Annabelle, who also fell onto her own knees.

While Stefan clutched the side of his head, Annabelle started to heavily shake as her veins came onto display and she nearly glared at the witch.

The witch told them, "I have the power of twelve witches. Neither of you stand a chance!"

While Stefan had sped away from the witches, Annabelle simply remained on her knees and glared at the witch as her shaking grew worse with each passing second.

It was then that the witch had looked over at Annabelle and said to her, "An Original vampire or not, I will take you down if I have to."

Despite the pain that she was feeling, Annabelle was able to force herself to scoff as she replied, "I'd like to see you try."

Just as blood had started to leak out of Annabelle's nose, Annabelle was suddenly grabbed by the arm and quickly taken away from the witches before she was suddenly released.

After wiping the blood away from her nose, Annabelle looked up at the person who had grabbed her, only to see that Klaus was staring down at her with a frown on his face.

While Annabelle scoffed to herself at the fact that Klaus had gone out of his way to save her from the coven of witches, Stefan told Klaus and Caroline, "They're linked. Bonnie's gonna kill them."

After looking away from Annabelle and over at Stefan, Klaus replied, "Not if the witches kill her first."

It wasn't until Klaus had sped towards Stefan and shoved him against a tree that Caroline said, "Klaus, we need to save her."

Klaus asked Caroline, "How? The only way to stop the witches is to kill them, and then Silas gets what he wants."

It was then that Caroline had looked away from the three of them and over towards the witches, just as one of the witches said, "Spirits, take her soul. Free her from darkness."

Just as Bonnie had started to scream, Caroline quickly sped towards the witches and grabbed the arm of one of the witches and shoved the blade right into the witch's own chest.

While Klaus screamed 'no', Annabelle simply tilted her head and watched with narrowed eyes as– one by one– each of the witches fell onto the ground.

After sighing to herself, Annabelle watched as Caroline had quickly made her way over to Bonnie, who was lying completely still on the ground with her eyes closed and blood that was originally leaking out of her nose.

It wasn't until Caroline was crouched over Bonnie that Bonnie opened her eyes– which were completely white– and said aloud, "The Triangle is complete."

With a sigh, Annabelle said, "Good going, Caroline. You actually managed to grant Silas's one and only wish."

Instead of responding, Caroline only stared down at Bonnie with furrowed eyebrows.

It wasn't until Caroline had actually looked away from Bonnie that she saw that Annabelle had left without so much as a single warning.

The only thing to prove that Annabelle was even there was the fact that both Klaus and Stefan were lying on the ground with their necks snapped.
