"(Name), let's talk," Carla took (Name)'s wrist. They went to an isolated part of the Scarabia Dorm, checking if someone's around, she spoke, "What happened earlier?"
"What happened earlier?" (Name) repeated. "You don't remember that you slapped me? You even agreed with Jamil-senpai's offer, even though we just left the other exceeds back in the dorm. We agreed that after we placed the firewoods, we go back to our dorm."
Carla was shocked, "I-I did? Why don't I remember?" She asked herself, placing her hands on her head. "Something's wrong about this dorm, I'm very sure about that! (Name), please forgive me for slapping you!" She hugged the Heartfilia.
(Name) merely patted Carla's head, "Yeah, I forgive you... But, we need to get out of this dorm as soon as possible." She reminded.
Carla nodded, they both know what to do. Yet, little did they know that a certain snake was lingering and was ready to pounce. The snake wouldn't let his prey go away that easily, he still needs those prey to get the bigger one...
"Alright! Training's over!" Kalim's loud voice cut the trance of (Name) and Carla. "Carla-san! (Name)-chan! Let's go!" He called.
"Hey, our assignment isn't—," Jamil tried to stop Kalim, but he already dragged the cat and Grim. He sighed, "Kalim..."
~ Scarabia Dorm - Hallway ~
"Everywhere I look inside this dorm is pure gold!" Grim complimented, looking at the artifacts that the dorm had. "It's completely different from our dorm, yanno?!"
"Is it that surprising?" Kalim asked, making Carla and (Name) dumbfounded at his proclamation.
"W-What do you mean?" Carla questioned.
Kalim laughed nervously while scratching his cheek, "I heard that my Dad donated to the school to spice up the dorm when I got accepted, but—"
"JUST HOW RICH ARE YOU?!" Grim cried out, surprised at how rich Kalim is. "Are you somehow... Are you a prince like Leona?" He asked.
"The Asim family isn't technically a royal household, but like a noble family," Kalim explained. "Though, I have a lot of relatives that are royalty."
"So, your father is like an Earl?" (Name) asked.
Kalim snapped, "Yeah! We're like the third ruler of the hierarchy because the royalty is the first and the knights are the second."
"So, like (Name)'s..." Carla whispered.
"Did you say something, Carla-san?"
"Oh, no!"
"Wait, Kalim-senpai," (Name) stopped Kalim from walking, distracting him to ask more. "Did you said that your last name is Al-Asim, but why did you say earlier Asim Household? Instead of Al-Asim household?"
"Al means son in our olden language in our country. And, then going back to my ancestor's names... We have the tradition of adding Al to our last name, which is Asim, for the male members in our family," he explained. "In my situation, my full name is Kalim Al-Asim which means Kalim-kun, the son of the Asim Family got it? Well, if you don't quite understand our origin... Then just call me Kalim!"
"... So there are a lot of students from other countries, too..." Carla nodded.
"Mh... Never thought about the name origins from different family..." Grim stated. "How about you, (Name)? Do you have an origin in your family name?"
"Well... I have the second name, which is Layla and Emerald," (Name) explained. "I was named after my great grandmother's name, Layla. And, Emerald, because that signifies my grandmother's hair."
"Woah~!" Kalim and Grim clapped their hands.
"What's cool there?" (Name) asked.
"So, your name is (Name) Layla Emerald Heartfilia or (Name) Emerald Layla Heartfilia? Either of that, it's still a very beautiful combination!" Kalim hugged (Name). "You can meet my family, so we can marry! I'm very sure my family will welcome you gladly in our hometown!"
"M-Marry?!" Carla and Grim exclaimed.
"That's too sudden..." (Name) laughed a bit.
"Eh! I was just joking!" Kalim jested. "But, really, (Name)-chan, you'll be very welcomed in our hometown!" He nodded at her.
"Wait... Do you live on a castle?" Grim tugged Kalim's dorm uniform.
"Nah, I don't," Kalim denied. "We only have like... Hm... 100 servants."
"100 is too much already!" Grim exclaimed. "I only have six, yanno!"
"I'm from a big family with over 30 younger siblings," Kalim clarified. "It'll be hard to look after them if we didn't have enough servants to look after them, you know?"
"O-Over 30?!" Carla was shocked.
"Ah... Or it was 40, maybe?" Kalim corrected himself, earning a sweatdrop from the girls and the cat. "I stopped counting when it reached 30! But, don't get me wrong though, I remember their names and faces~!"
"The ranking of his family is so different than us commoners, don't you think, (Name)?" Grim whispered. (Name) just chuckled nervously as she nodded, if Grim knew she was a Princess and a Countess from her world, he won't stop questioning her.
"Jamil's parents is also one of our family servants, too," Kalim added. "That's why Jamil has been in my side from the day when we were just kids! Jamil's an amazing guy, you know? He's smart, he's kind, and he's a great cook!"
"True!" Grim agreed. "The food earlier was delicious, yanno?"
Kalim and Grim had sparkles in their eyes as they hold hands, "Right?! Then have dinner with us then, Grim, Carla-san, and (Name)-chan~! Jamil will prepare the best food for today's guests!"
"Y-Yeah," Grim sweatdropped, going to Carla and (Name)'s side, "It's very easy to be carried away if you're talking with this guy... He's way more carefree than I am..."
"He's a nice guy, very rare to find in this school," (Name) whispered back. "Unlike some certain people..."
"But, I feel there's something wrong..." Carla whispered.
"Hey, what are you guys whisperin' about!" Kalim called from the distance, he was standing in front of some giant door. "Come over here~! I still have a lot of things to show you!"
~ Scarabia Dorm - Storeroom ~ (more like treasure vault)
They entered a room full of... Gold and gems? Like everything inside is very expensive things such as clothes, porcelain utensils, and more. Carla and Grim gawked, while (Name) just went wide-eyed...
"Wha—?!" Grim shouted. "What the—?! What is this place?! There're so many sparkling treasures!"
"All of these things are bought by Dad when I left our hometown and as well got accepted here!" Kalim told them. "These can't fit inside my room, so I just borrowed this storage room to store this ~."
"This is no storage room! This is a treasure vault!" Grim pointed out.
Kalim pinched Grim's cheeks, "Grim know such big words than I am~! Good for you!" He praised. "I have one favorite inside this storage room! Here he... Wait... Where is he? That guy moves around on his own, you know? So he's really hard to find. Gimme a sec!"
Both Carla and (Name) knew the riches of both the Heartfilia and Fiore families, so the sight earlier wasn't supposed to be surprising, but it's been the year's ever since they checked the riches of both families. They both looked at each other and smiled uneasily...
"... Hah..." In Grim's perspective, he was hypnotized by the riches alone. "... A big gem... A golden goblet... He will never mind if I took two or three, right? Hehe hehe..." He giggled greedily.
Unknown to him, a magic carpet was looming him. It started poking him without the knowledge of its master...
"Stop it, (Name) or Carla or whatever it is," Grim angrily pushed the carpet away. "I'm in the middle of invading the things..." The carpet won't stop poking Grim. "You won't stop, huh? Your persistence will be burned once I burn you to—AHH!!! THE CARPET!!! I-IT'S MOVING ON ITS OWN! HELP! IT'S CURSED!"
"Grim?!" (Name) came rushing to where Grim is. "Hold up! Stay away!" She demanded in alarm, with Carla tailing behind.
"Oh, so that's where you were!" Kalim suddenly showed up. "I wish that you'd wait where I left you, though!" He pouted while the magic carpet just made a circular motion around him.
"What in the world is that?" Carla asked.
"This is the legendary Magic Carpet from the Land of the Hot Sands!" Kalim shared. "Rumors said that this is like the replica of the King that was served by the Sorcerer of Sand used to served to fly in the sky! It's the heirloom of our family!" Earning a nod from the carpet itself.
"Fly in the sky... You mean like the brooms we use?" Grim questioned.
"Yup!" Kalim jumped on the carpet. "Jump on! It's a lot easier than explaining how they work! It's already sunset, so it's probably the best time for making a night walk, right?" He stated.
"Eh?" Grim hesitated. "Are you sure we won't fall off to this thing?" He asked.
"It's alright!" Kalim assured. Both Carla and Grim jumped on the carpet, except (Name), she doesn't trust flying carpets, she doesn't even trust brooms, "Do you trust me, (Name)-chan?" He offered his hand.
(Name) hesitated to take his hand, but soon told him, "I... I trust you..." She replied as she jumped on the carpet.
"Alright, let's go!!!" He exclaimed.
They flew through the sky as if they were riding an airplane or something. (Name) tightly grip Kalim's dorm uniform, making the fellow dorm leader laugh at his junior fellow dorm leader...
"Wha—?! We're flying!" Grim cheered. "We're up so high, even I can't look down... The dorm's small in out view now!"
"You're right," Carla nodded.
"How is it?" Kalim asked. "We're above with the clouds like we're in a different world? It's amazing, right?"
"It's a whole new world!" (Name) smiled.
Kalim chuckled, "Did you like it?"
"This is the best~!!!" Grim shouted.
"Being able to fly freely in the sky is quite soothing, right? It makes me forget even the smallest troubles," Kalim said. "Though Jamil tells me that I'm worrying too much sometimes. I wish that he'd take it a little bit easy, too, you know..."
"Must be hard, huh... To be an heir of your family..." (Name) stated. "..."
"Yeah..."
"LOOK! EVERYONE! THERE IS A BIRD I'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE IS FLYING OVER THERE!" Grim ruined the mood.
"You idiotic cat!" Carla pinched Grim's cheek. "I'm already getting the singing part!" She hissed.
