Miles's POV
I think I am hearing people talking.
My head is aching. Damn!
I slowly opened my eyes and "FUCK!"
I covered my mouth when I realized who are the people inside the room. Did I just curse in front of them?
"I am sorry." I am embarrassed.
"How are you feeling?" Sir Tharn asked me. "Kai, where is it?"
Sir Kai is holding a tray of food.
"Here, da." He answered then looked at me. "This is the chowder soup that you want."
Why is everyone here in the room?
"Where is Cade?" My eyes scanned the room. My boyfriend is not here. How can he leave me alone with his family?
"Call Kaiden, Cole." Sir Tharn ordered.
The big question is WHY IS EVERYONE HERE?
Did I do something bad?
I am now scared.
"Honey, why? Let's just wait for Cade. He should be the one to tell you that you are Preeegnaaant!" It was Sir Gulf.
I think I didn't hear him clearly.
"You silly, baby! I thought you'll let our grandson tell his wife." Sir Mew told him.
What? Wife? Who? I am not Cade's wife for heaven's sake.
What did I miss?
The door opened. "What happened?" My boyfriend rushed to me panting so hard.
"Nothing. Where have you been?" I asked him. The room is crowded with Kiriguns.
"I just talked to both the family doctor and your OB." He smiled at me with teary eyes. "We are having a baby."
I am pregnant? So maybe that is why they are all here.
"It is a good news then. Are you happy?" I caressed his cheek.
"Of course, baby. I am the happiest."
He held that hand and kissed it.
I am happy and nervous at the same time too.
"Uhmmm, will you be fine if you two both stay here in the mansion?" Sir Tharn asked us.
I am not sure if it's a good idea.
"Da, we can just stay in our home," Cade answered.
"But I want it here," I told Cade.
"We can stay here for days, sir."
"Oh, you should call me like how they address me. Call me dada too."
Oh damn. Calling sir Tharn dada is too much I think.
"Okay...dada..."
Fuck! Cringe!
I think my ears are too red right now.
"We will let you rest, for now, Miles. We already asked someone to fix your room."
He added. Sir Tharn I mean dada talked a lot today. It is kinda new to me. Everyone is extra warm to me except for sir Cole which is kinda expected already. He doesn't smile a lot except if Sir Kai is talking to him.
They are a cute couple.
Everyone left the room except for my boyfriend.
"Do you need anything, baby? Water? Food? I was so nervous earlier when I witnessed you faint in my arms."
He looks so worried.
"Uhm, am I really pregnant? I don't feel anything unusual though. What if the doctor just made a mistake?"
"That's why I talked to them both to be sure. Your OB already confirmed that you are too. She wasn't able to detect it last time but after checking you again, she agreed with Mr. Medina. You are pregnant, baby. I am sure." He kissed me on my lips.
"I will make sure that the baby will be safe and healthy. We are going to raise our kids well."
"I am excited and scared at the same time. What if the same thing happens again?"
"Sshhhh. Don't ever say that again. I am here. Nothing bad will happen to our baby. Do you trust me?" Cade was staring at my eyes straight.
"I always trust you."
I saw him smiled. That very beautiful smile.
He took his phone out of his pocket. "Look, baby." He shows me the chart of fetus sizes.
"It says here that our baby is like a poppy seed. That's how small he is and next week he will grow bigger as the apple seed. I really planted my seeds well." He chuckled. It's cute seeing how excited Cade is. It's just sad that we didn't experience this during my first pregnancy. I always regret that I didn't listen to him. That is why I promised myself to trust Cade more because he only wants the best for us. I don't want to lose another one, I'll go crazy if something happens again.
"Wow, baby that's too small."
Cade lay down beside me and cuddled with me. I am sure that our baby will be well-loved by everyone.
"But one day, it will grow and be taller than you. If it's a girl, I wish it would look like you because you are so pretty and if it is boy, I want him to still look like you because you are so handsome too." Cade makes my heart flutters with his unsolicited compliments. He really has a way to make me blush.
We transferred to our room the same night. They made it extra beautiful.
I can't believe they made it look like we are staying in a hotel.
All Kirigun's spent their night here. Only Sir Mew and Sir Gulf live in this mansion. Sir Tharn and Sir Type live in the Kirigun mansion which is smaller than this one while Cade's family lives in a two-story apartment bought by Sir Kai. I actually love that house because it was a gift by his papa to his dad. I can never give Cade a house. I can only give him babies. Oh, fuck! I am being cheesy. I curled up on our bed and giggled with the thought.
"Good morning, baby." He stretched his arm and wrapped it around me. The warm breath coming from him tickles my neck.
I am bored. Should I tease him? But knowing how thin his patience is, he surely will get mad at me again.
"Good morning, love."
3...2...1....
"Fuck it! Who is love? Why are you calling me that? I know you love me but you shouldn't call me that."
See? This is the reaction that I am expecting. I don't know what the hell is with the endearment 'baby'.
For him, we should only call each other that. I can't even call him by his first name.
"Just kidding, baby." His brows furrowed. "I love you."
It's like a sin to call him with other endearments. I call him Colleen when I am mad though.
"You know the rule." He reminded me. "Let's take a shower first then take our breakfast."
I know everyone working for this mansion is dreaming of stepping on this floor. Staying on the third floor means you are already a family. I stepped here many times already.
My favorite Kirigun is Sir Gulf. I thought he is scary but he is actually not. He is just sleepy all the time but maybe it's because he is old already. Don't mention the word old to him though. He doesn't like hearing it.
I was on the third-floor living area waiting for Cade to get the food from the first floor. Someone I never expected to talk to me, sat beside me and asked how I am feeling. I am actually nervous talking to him. I feel like he hates me since that unfortunate incident happened to me in New Zealand. Sir Cole offered a sandwich and put it on my hand.
"I am feeling fine. thank you for asking." I replied. I talked just fine. I did a good job of not stuttering.
"Uhmmm Kai made an extra for you. You eat well." He left.
I finally let out a deep breath. Woaahh. I feel like my heart was about to malfunction.
Cade walked to the dining area so I just followed him.
"Here, what do you want to eat?" He did bring a lot.
"I am fine with this." I waved the sandwich in front of him. Sir Cole gave it to me so I am going to eat this. Not every day will you experience that guy giving you a sandwich.
For me, he is the quietest one. He literally hates anyone breathing aside from his family members. Does he consider me a family now? I feel so honored to receive a sandwich from him.
"If it's from mama, drop it. Please do not eat it." He is referring to Sir Type. They said he has the worst cooking skills. I don't believe it because Sir Tharn eats everything he prepares. They are still sweet and I envy them.
"No, baby. It's from your dad. He gave it to me."
"He did?"
"Yes, he did."
"So that is why you are smiling that much?"
"Of course, baby. He is not mad at me anymore."
"I told you he was never mad at you. That is just his personality but I swear he is kinder than you think he is. It just doesn't show but he has a soft heart."
"Like you?" I asked him. Cade is not that kind though.
It was lunchtime when everyone gathered in the garden area. It was like a feast to celebrate my pregnancy.
It was Sir Kai who offered a seat to me so Cade just sat beside me.
I saw my brother smiling at me in the corner.
I stood up right away and called his name loudly.
"Mayka, come here."
Everyone is staring at me. Shit! I forgot that my brother is an Elite and is working for this family. This is embarrassing, I even shouted in front of the table. I am not classy at all. Damn.
Sir Gulf just smiled at me. "Can you call Mayka to join us?" He asked the guard behind him.
Mayka can't refuse at all. It was sir Gulf's order.
"I am sorry, sir. Miles just got excited to see me. I am still on my shift and I won't dare to eat with you." His head is lowered the whole time he is talking.
"It is Miles's request. He is pregnant so it is just right to give him everything he wants, right?" It was Sir Type. Of course, he can't refuse anymore. Sir Type will always be the law.
"Thank you, sir." Sir Kai moved to the other seat to give space for my brother.
Everyone started eating. He is anxious. He keeps looking behind his back and on his side. Some guards were looking at him so he must be feeling shy.
"Eat well, Mayka." I put food on his plate.
"Don't this again, Miles. I was just left with no choice." He whispered to me.
"No, as long as I am here, you will eat with me. I rarely see you so I'll eat with you when there's a chance." I am not acting a brat. I just don't like the idea that I am experiencing this treatment while my brother is just looking from afar.
When we finished eating, I saw Sydney walking in the garden area towards our table. It is so sad that I can't even be friends with him when we were so close before. He whispered something to Sir Kai.
"I need to go first. Duty calls." Sir Kai bowed and left.
"Miles, I have a gift for you later." Sir Gulf excitedly said.
"Mommy if it's chocolates, please don't. He can't eat too many sweets especially now." My Cade is a real killjoy.
"Better than chocolates." Sir Gulf again.
I should be used in addressing them correctly. "Dada and mama for the great grandparents, daddy and mommy for the grandparents, and dad and papa for sir Cole and Sir Kai. Cade clearly told me to just call his father dad to avoid confusion with sir Mew.
They stood up to return inside the mansion. I fixed the plates but Sir Mew stopped me. It's like a habit of mine. "You are not a servant here, darling. Go upstairs and take a rest with Cade. We will be rushing the elevator so it won't be tiring for you to go up and down the third floor."
The hell. I was left dumbfounded.
I just clutched Cade's arm. He looks so serious.
They were all inside already.
"Why, baby?" He is not in the mood again. I wonder who between us is pregnant.
"I saw you earlier."
"What did you see?"
"You are clearly looking at him. The next time I see you gazing at that guy again he will be ban from Elite. This is my last warning."
He is talking about Syd for sure.
"We are going to have a baby soon. Why are you still jealous of him? Everyone is staring at him too."
He looks like a model walking on the ramp, of course, he would catch attention.
"I don't care about them. Can you stop liking that guy? Stop looking at him. Erase him from your life. This is why I hate going here in the mansion. Is this why you keep asking me to go here?
I don't want you to meet him again. I hate to think that we are breathing the same air as him. I really hate him. I fucking hate that you liked him first."
"Should we just go home, baby? It's better at our home, right? I hope you would stop thinking about it. We can't erase the past but I hope you stop minding it anymore. I don't have the tiniest feeling left for that guy. He can't be compared to you."
Is this how Cade feels whenever I ask him to go here? I just want to be close to his grandparents. They are nice to me so I love coming here.
He is always insecure about the fact that I once had a crush on Sydney.
"Let's stay here for now. You have to prove to me that you are not into him anymore." He told me.
"I will, my future husband."
He just walked past me. I saw him smile a bit though. Is he shy? He blushed.
