Camilla had finished her shift, having stayed in last night around midnight and up to now. "Ms.Noceda, Prince would like to be your familiar." Luz said flatly.
The human just stared at her, slowly drinking her coffee, "Okay." Camilla shrugged.
Prince's tail wagged swiftly, the mutt putting his paws on the chair, Camilla ruffling his fur, "I do need your consent before hand, also, when you die, so does he. So basically, Prince will be immortal until something or someone kills him- Hey- Nero!" Luz called out.
The cat came out of his and Prince's shared room, going over to Luz, tilting his head to the side. "Hey cat! Want to be Luz's fam-familiar?" Prince barked.
Nero looked up at him, the up at Luz, giving a small nod, "I don't mind it."
"You'll help me make potions then kitty cat." Luz said, picking him up, placing him on the counter. "When I die, so do you, is that okay?"
Nero mewed, "You live longer then us anyways."
"You are correct yes, but I live for like a thousand years, one hundred of your human years is just one for us." Luz said, scratching his chin. "But I can change that if I wanted to, the oldest a witch has been was..10,008? So you'll be pretty much immortal til you die of something else then me."
Camilla spit out her coffee before Luz finished, having processed the witches words, the other three looking over at her, confused. "You didn't know that did you?"
"I didn't know that-" Camilla coughed, her coffee burning her tounge. "How old is Edalyn then?"
"Not sure! It's rude to ask a witch that though. Lots of us age normally, like your human years, so I say 40-45?"
Camilla let out a small scoff, "Foxy for her age."
"Ah, yeah mom does know how to act when her smarts are needed. Albeit getting arrested right after is apparently apart of the plan."
"She gets arrested?"
Luz nodded, "She's collects human things you guys leave out in the trash. Like TV's, toys, books, old things, stuff like that, so we don't steal. But she gets in trouble for scamming people out of human goods, the warden likes her though, so he lets her go after their dates."
"I thought she was a lesbian."
"She is, but she rather have her freedom then stay in a cold cell for the rest of her life. So her best bet is going on a date with the warden, they don't go anywhere farther then that, but mom has learned to give a reasonable price now." Luz half shrugged. "Anyhoot, let's get started on the spell hm?"

Nero and Prince were now familiars, and Nero was definitely going to outlive Prince. "The interesting thing about having a familiar, is that you can talk to them without either of you speaking." Luz added.
"Like telephoneapethy?" Prince fumbled
"Telepathy yes." Luz smiled slightly.
"That's what I said. Telephoneapethy." Prince repeated, his tail wagging swiftly.
"So I can speak to you like this then?" Nero glanced over at Luz, not letting out a mew.
The witch nodded, "Yes just like that!" Luz smiled.
Nero's tail made a wave motion on the floor, Camilla finally regaining her composure, sitting up and rubbing her head, "Ooh boy..Definitely going to be sore.." Camilla groaned, stretching her arms.
"Momma can you understands me?" Prince looked over at the human, his tail wagging slowly.
"Awh you call me Momma?~" Camilla cooed.
Prince's tail wagged furiously the mutt jumping in to her lap, licking her face, "I love you I love you I love you! I finally get to tell you that!" Prince nuzzled Camilla's cheek, licking her face.
"Well, I get to tell you this at least." Nero looked up at Luz. "We made a bet."
"Bet?" Luz clarified aloud.
Prince perked up, looking over at the other two, "WAIT NERO-" Prince barked, getting out of Camilla's lap, rushing over.
"Prince started the bet, he bet that Amity would-"
Prince picked up the cat with his mouth, rushing back to their shared room downstairs. Barks, hisses, yelps, yowls, growls, and a squeaky toy came from the room, then silence. The door opened, Mattias slipping out, quickly going up the stairs, the commotion continuing. Mattias rushed to be behind Luz, the witch patting his head.
Silence again, then the door opened, both pets coming back up, "We made a bet."

"So all of the animals I've met so far, you have explained who I know, and bet something on who I'd fall for?" Luz cleared up.
Prince nodded, Nero licking his paw, "He started it." The cat looked up at Luz, glancing at Prince.
"Why would you do that?" Luz scoffed.
"Listen Luz, we know it's wrong to, but we're not forcing anything on you." Prince barked. "I only started it so we could see who would be a danger to you, what they want to do with you, an if the relationship would be..Toxic?"
The witch sighed, running her hand through her hair, "It's okay, just..It's rude to involve yourself in my life like that! If you want to know who I like right now, it's Bo, okay?"
Nero snarled, "That means Raven won.."
"Raven? He bet on Bo?" Luz cleared up.
He nodded, "We didn't think you'd actually go for her, so Mattias, Gator and I, voted for Amity. Nero bet on Amelia, but he switched sides after she tried to kiss you." Prince explained. "Though it seems like we're all loosing the bet right now."
"Right meow-" Luz joked. "But seriously you guys, how could you do that without asking me if it was okay?"
Prince's and Nero's ears fell back, both pets looking down, "We're sorry.."
"It's not okay, you guys can't do that! It might not seem like it affects me, but it does. Now I'm feeling pressured to go out with Amity, who apparently has the majority vote!"
Mattias nudged her leg, the witch looking down at him, "Luz, we're animals. We aren't perfect, we didn't know you could understand us, we've made mistakes. Right now, we know it hurts you to do the bet, so we'll stop it. And let you decide on your own. But you can't expect us to live how you want us to, like Ay says, Kleinvieh macht auch Mist."
"Small amounts lead to something bigger.." Luz mumbled.
"Exactly, we didn't realize this small bet would lead to this. It's our fault, but do forgive us for wanting to do a bet to find someone who actually cares for you. Amelia is sweet yes, but you've gotten to know her more, she tried to kiss you, forced you even! Bo, I still haven't met her, but from what you told Nero who told me, she's a great human." Mattias barked, sitting down. "Amity, no matter who you pick, you know she'll stay by you."
Luz looked away, sitting down on her bean bag chair, "That's the thing.." Luz said quietly.
"Is something wrong?" Prince whimpered.
"Back home, I take all the classes, and one of them..Is Oracle..I peeked in to the future, I know I wasn't supposed to because all the consequences and whatnot-" Luz sighed sharply. "It wasn't good, none of it was good! All of my friends and others were there, except Amity..I don't have any proof of seeing that in the potion, but she wasn't with us. She isn't staying by me, and not for long, a month, maybe sooner, it was snowing, a-and there were banners of our school?-"
"The football game." Nero thought looking up at Luz. "The game is during November-"
"Do you think Noah's involved in this?" Prince barked.
"Whoever this Noah fellow is, I already don't like them. Them? Him?" Mattias muttered.
"Him-" Prince chimed in.
"Yes thank you Prince- But if he's in football, he has a high chance in being involved." Mattias snarled. "He will ruin your friendship with Amity if you don't get rid of him Luz."
The witch shook her head, "I can't! Amity cares about him! She went on a date with him too! If I get rid of him-"
"Then don't do it now, when the time is right, it won't get to you loosing Amity." Mattias huffed.
Nero yowled, everyone gazing at him, the cat calming down, "If we interfere there will be consequences." Nero mewed, having thought it as well for Luz. "If you imbeciles didn't know, luck comes in waves. If we mess with it, someone gets hurt."
Prince nodded, "Yes that's right! In this show momma showed me, Sike-e. K or something, there was a fortune teller! She said that very thing! Luck comes in waves, waves that even eachother out so no one is too lucky or unlucky. Using her ability to get something, ended with her getting hurt." Prince barked.
"Congratulations Prince, you sounded rather smart." Mattias grinned.
"Thanks! I still don't know the order of the alphabet though!"
"We're not barking about that." Nero hissed.
"Hey Luz, I want peanut butter-"
"You should try crackers with them-" Luz gently slapped herself. "Focus! If I interfere, things might turn out worse for me. I can't do anything, I'll just have to ride it out. Whatever that means-"
"It means to succeed in surviving or getting through." Mattias barked. "It's a common phrase here. But yes you're correct, you have to ride it out. If Amity leaves you, it's possibly some misunderstanding, a setback."
"I-I don't want to loose her though Mattias, Amity means alot to me, what if I end up messing something up and I loose her anyways? I spent my life up until this point not having known she existed, that any of you existed! You guys all make me happy, but loosing just one of you will make me sad-"
Prince got on the bean bag chair with her, curling up around Luz, "Well, if that's the case, why don't you tell her?" Prince barked.
Mattias got up, getting on the chair with Luz, curling up around her too, resting his head on Prince's back, Nero hopping in to the witches lap. "I don't know, it's only been about over a month, she hasn't learned much about me. I'm probably just a child to her.."
Little did she know, Amity was right by her door, her back pressed up against the wall, the human blushing profusely, already tearing up. 'Is this what Luz thinks I see her as..?'
Nero had noticed first, that's why he apologized, wanting Luz to change to something other then the bet on Bo and Amity. "Now's probably not a good time, but Amity's here." Nero mewed.
"Amity, here? The door hasn't been opened, should I go check?" Luz asked, getting off her bean bag chair.
The human fumbled about, jumping over the railing, landing quietly on the stairs swiftly tiptoing to the front door, opening the front door, Camilla going over, confused. "You're leaving?" Camilla asked.
"No no! Luz didn't know I got here! She is coming down to open the door! Just pretend I finally got here!"
"Kids I'm telling you-" Camilla cleared her throat, Luz coming down the stairs with the pets. "Hey Amity! What are you doing here?"
She said it rather convincingly, wow Camilla, you can be an actor someday! "Just wanted to come see how Luz was doing, see if the uhm- Butterflies are gone." She smiled nervously.
Luz waved at the human, giving her a cheerful smile, "Hey Amity!"
The Blight relaxed, she also loves LL, anytime you receive it, all your worries fly away. "Hey Luz." Amity smiled softly, waving at the witch.
"Ehem- Would you like to stay for lunch?" Camila asked, joining in the smiling party.
"Yes..Thank you." Amity said nervously, very grateful Camilla understood the situation, also grateful Camilla offered lunch.
Boy was she hungry!
