As Murthys reached and Malhotras came and received them they were taken inside the house. Manik was surprised seeing a person.
Manik:Gurumaa aap?
Gayatri (Amma)frowned on hearing Gurumaa.
Manik: Apne pehchana nahi mujhe?
Amma: Nahi mujhe yaad nahi aa raha.
Manik: Hum Space college se 6saal pehle apke ek workshop pe aaye.
Mukti: Gurumaa hum 5 log mumbai se aaye the yaad hai FAB5.
Amma: Arre Haan FAB5 yaad aaya. Kitni masti karte the aur kitne bade ho gaye sab pehchan main hi nahi aaye.
FAB 5 came forward and took her blessing.
Ishita: Maa he is Manik who is going to get married to your Kanna.
Amma: Arre bada acha ladka hai.
Ishita: Aur Manik she is my Mother and she is Mother in law.
Manik took their blessings and Nandini was introduced to Dada, Dadi and Nani and she too took their blessings.
Dadu: Badi sonni kudi dundhi hai Neyo tune Manuu ke liye.
Nani: Haa badi pyaari bachi hai.
Dadi went forward and removed her bangle and made her wear it.
Nandini: Dadi yeh?
Dadi: Shagun hai beta rakh lo.
After the whole introduction session with the family, all elders went to the the garden area except for Manik and Nandini and the youngsters as they had to enter together.
Raman: Waah bhai kya sajawat hai.
Romi: Haa everything is so beautiful.
Mahesh: Arre itna acha din hai aaj sab acha tho hona chahiye na.
Rajiv: Yeh bhi sahi yeh.
Inside
Manik was staring at Nandini and Cabir came from behind and nudged him.
Cabir: Manik it looks creepy.
Manik: What?
Aliya: You staring at her.
Mukti: Hame pata hai ki she looks beautiful but ring ceremony hone tak contral kar. Hoga na control?
Hearing this all sniggered while Manik just ignored them and walked to Nandini seeing this all of them had their mouth wide open ignoring them royally Manik reached to Nandini he bent towards her from behind and said.
Manik: You look stunning.
Nandini on hearing his husky voice shivered a little and turned back swiftly only to bang to Manik's chest he immediately held her by her waist seeing her lose her balance.
They had a long eyelock and behind all the youngsters looked at each other and smirked.
Veer: Yeh log tho statue ho gaye hai.
Aliya:Aww, They look so cute.
Dhruv: Yes baby they are so cute.
Abhi just moved forward and coughed loudly to make them come out of their staring session because it was too awkward to see his babydoll like this.
Nandini and Manik straightened themselves and were looking here and there.
Cabir: Kya Abhi yeh logo ka staring session todh diya.
All of them laughed hearing this and Abhi said.
Abhi: Chalo bahar sab wait kar rahe hai.
All of them walked out with Manik and Nandini trailing behind.
Manik: You look beautiful saying this he kissed her cheek.
Nandini widened her eyes and looked at Manik. Manik just raised his eyebrows to which she shaked her head as nothing. Manik smirked seeing her blushing.
They entwined their hand and entered the garden gaining all the attention towards them. Nandini on getting all the attention got nervous but Manik on sensing it tightened his hold on her hand.
Cabir: Here we welcome to be bride and groom for their own engagement ceremony.First of all Thank you for gracing you presence on the most important day of our very own Manik Malhotra and Nandini Murthy. We request our guests not to take any photo or videos and post it. Please respect our privacy.
And now lets welcome Manik and Nandini to the stage for exchanging the rings.
Manik and Nandini stepped up to the stage and stood there, first Rishab came with Manik's ring and gave it to Nandini.
Ishita: Nandini now make him wear the ring.
Nandini took the ring and asked for Manik's hand which he gave instantly and she made him wear the ring.
Later Muskan came and gave the ring to Manik.
Neyo: Now Manik make her wear the ring.
Mukti: Arre aise kaise Manik go down on your knees.
Navya: Ji haa hone wale jijaji apne knees pe jayiye aur ring pehnaye.
All started cheering Manik, He then went down on his knees and asked.
Manik: May I?
Nandini nodded at this and gave her hand on his hand.
Before making her wear the ring Manik looked at Nandini's parents to which they smiled at him and then looked at his parents who were also smiling. He smiled and made her wear the ring.
Everyone clapped for the now official couple. Manik did not leave her hand after making her wear the ring.
All the friends had bought a cake which was asked to cut by them and feed each other.
All the guests came to the stage and wished the couple. They were standing for an hour now and were tired.
Manik: Tired?
Nandini: Not tired but just my legs are paining.
Manik: Then sit for a while.
Nandini: No Manik how can I sit,you don't worry I will manage.
Manik: Just sit for few minutes no one will even notice.
Nandini: Manik just few guests are left let's get finish with them and then sit.
Manik: Are you sure?
Nandini : Yes.
They finished greeting the guests and sat down.
Mahira came to the stage
Mahira:Manu, Nandini come have your dinner you both must be tired.
Manik: Dii you are a saviour, I was actually hungry.
Mahira: That is why I came to call you.
Both went and sat on their places with the family all started having their dinner.
Ahana: Jiju, aap log ek dusre ko khilao.
Aryaman: Haa apne hatho se khilao now that you are officially a couple koi kuch nahi bolega.
Nandini gave a look to Ahana.
Navya: Aise kya dekh rahi ho Nandu, Bade log kuch nahi bolenge hai na Dadu?
Dadu: Haa bhai Manu khila usko dekh kya raha hai.
Manik took a peice of roti and made her have it and Nandini did the same.
Manik: Kush Sali sahiba.
Ahana: Haa jijaji.
All of them completed the dinner with all the relatives and family getting to know each other while all the bacha party enjoying themselves.
Abhi came and sat beside Nandini who was sitting with Manik and all of their friends.
Abhi: Tired babydoll?
Nandini smiled and kept her head on his shoulder.
Nandini: Bhai not tired just my legs are paining.
Abhi: Isiliye I told you not to wear heels but you as usual don't listen to me.
Nandini: Bhai I always listen to you and look at him he is soo tall so I wore my heels to match his height and it's not my first time okay.
Abhi: Yaa Yaa I know.
All the guests started living only the close family members were present.
Mukti: Nandini show us your ring.
Nandini forwarded her hand.
Aliya: It's so pretty,nice choice.
Nandini: It's Manik's choice he selected it.
Navya: Kya pasand hai Jiju.
Manik: Yeh kya jiju bula rahe ho main Manik hi thik hu.
Ahana: Arre aise kaise aap hamare jiju hue na.
Manik: Nahi call me Manik.
Ruhi: Par hum tho apko Jiju hi bulayenge.
Pihu: Haa please.
Manik: Okay only you three can call me jiju no one else.
Nandini got up and went towards Dadu, Dadi and Nani.
Dadi: Aaja puttar beth, kya hua idhar kyu aayi?
Nandini: Nahi Dadi aise hi aap logo se ache se baat nahi hui na tho aa gayi. Waise aap log parso kyu nahi aaye?
Nani: Wo beta hum tak gaye the tho nahi aaye par hamne video dekha na bahut acha dance karti ho.
Nandini: Thank you Nani. Aap log Mumbai main kab tak ho?
Dadu: Arre puttar hum thode din hai yaha.
Nandini: Acha hai. Aap log thak gaye honge na jake aaram kijiye.
Dadu: Thakte tho buddhe hai hum tho abhi bhi jawan hai.
Dadi: Haa 80 sal ke jawan.
Dadu: Tum tho kuch bolo hi math jalti ho tum mujhse.
Dadi: Main kyu jalu aapse bhala?
Dadu: Kyu ki main tumse jawan dikta hu.
Seeing their banter Nandini laughed loudly gaining others attention.
Nandini: Dadu Dadi you both are so cute.
Dadu: Dekho abhi tho Nandini puttar ne bhi tarif kardi.
Dadi: Haa tho dono ko bola na.
Nandini: Acha abhi aap log shant ho jayiye dono hi 20 saal ke jawan lagte hi.
All of them laughed at this.
Raman: Acha hum sab chalte hai kafi der ho gayi hai.
Mahesh: Ji thik hai.
Manik and Nandini took elders blessing and proceeded towards the car. All of them went ahead while Nandini and Manik were behind. Manik moved to walk but stopped on hearing Nandini's voice.
Nandini: Manik.
Manik: Yes Nandini.
Nandini: Ek second niche jukhiye.
Manik: Kyu?
Nandini: Jhukiye na.
Manik frowned at this but nevertheless bent down to get a shock and on recovering from shock he looked at her to realise she already had left the place he blushed at this and kept his hand on his cheek.
So what happened was, when Manik bent down to her, she kissed his cheek saying" you look handsome in my choice" in his ear and ran from there.
Manik went to the parking to see Nandini searching for him and after looking at him she blushed and sat in the car he just winked at her and waved his hand to say good bye.
