KABOOM!
Ember's POV
"Holy shit, what was that?" I asked.
I ran outside, holding Flamix.
"Did you hear that?" Riko asked me.
"Fuck yeah I did!" I replied.
Are we under attack?
Then I heard someone scream.
"MAX!" I heard Jacob yell. "CALM DOWN!"
Suddenly frightened, I began to ran to the source of Max's screams.
When I arrived, I saw Jacob holding back a distraught but uninjured Max.
I looked down...
There was a parts of a body, scattered everywhere.
Light blond hair and robotic parts...
OH GOD... TRISTAN!
I was horrified.
"W-what happened?" Hannah asked.
"Looks like he exploded," I said. "There was that explosion."
"But besides his body, there's no visual evidence of an explosion." Damian said.
I nodded, slightly confused.
"Wait," Riko said, crouching down and detaching something from the robotic part of Tristan's head. "What is this?"
She held up a tiny silver device, so small that it was no wonder that we never noticed.
"Looks like a bomb," X replied, squinting.
"Who attached a bomb on Tristan?!" Max asked.
Kimya began to sign rapidly.
"She wants to examine the bomb," Jacob translated and Riko handed it to her.
Kimya signed even more.
"Kimya will study the bomb," Jacob continued. "I think it may help solve the mystery of how a bomb was attached to Tristan."
The two of them looked at me.
"Is that alright, President Ember?" Jacob asked.
That question took me by surprise.
President???
I snapped back into reality and nodded.
As I watched Jacob and Kimya leave, I kept thinking back to what Jacob had just called me.
President Ember? Me? That's impossible... I'm just Ember! Not someone with a title for a leader...
