Sugawara starred at his phone where a golden heart was visible.
" Oh.." he mumbled in disbelief
" Wow Suga! Who's the lucky girl who's heart you've stolen?" Nishinoya exclaimed
" I-"
" Don't tell me its Kyoko!! Because if it is you and I have a problem my friend!!" Tanaka yelled and held Suga in a head block
" Guys I-"
" It can't be her Tanaka remember she doesn't have the app on her phone " Noya interjected
" Then who?"
Sugawara flashed them a blank stare " That's what I'm trying to tell you..I don't know either" He squirmed out of his friends grasp " I've never experienced this before"
Tanaka looked around " Well it could be anybody, there are so many girls in the hallway"
" Who says its a girl" Noya smirked " For all we know it could be a guy"
Tanaka bursted into laughter and Sugawara's eyes widen, he certainly hopped that wasn't the case
" Suga, Tanaka, Noya!" The three boys turned around seeing you walk their way " Hey L/n! " The bald one waved
" I just came to tell you that practice has been cancelled. Coach had an urgent errand"
" Awh dammit " The short spiked haired groaned
" Thanks for the message " Suga smiled.
" Hey hey Y/n wanna hear something exciting? " You nodded " Look" Tanaka took Suga's phone
" He got a golden heart!" Your eyes widen and you looked surprised at Suga " Wow, when did this happen? "
" Just now"
" Wait, the heart still there? " Noya questioned " Then that means the person is close by. Otherwise it would have disappeared"
" Y/n do you have your love alarm on? " Tanaka asked suspicious
" Nope phones off " you waved it in front of you
" Well that's one person of the suspect list, we have to find the mystery lady. Its our duty to reunite her with her lover!"
" I'm with you, let's do this! " The two troublemakers fist bumped and took off. Leaving You and Suga just starring at them
" Sometimes I really worry about their future.." You exhaled tiredly
Suga nervously chuckled '' Yeah same " He looked back at his phone. Although he preferred that Tanaka and Nishinoya wouldn't interfere with this matter, he was quite curious himself. Who was the one that rang his love alarm? Was it someone he knew? Or was it just a random girl he had never spoken to
You notice your friend being deep in thoughts " So what are you gonna do when you find her or him?"
" Please don't say him" he shivered " And I don't know..It really depends who it is."
" Oh..okay, well anyway I have to go but good luck! " you walked pass him down the hall
Suga smiled and turned his attention back at his phone. The heart was still there. He examined his surrounding, many girls where either passing by, standing next to windows or where in their classrooms.
It could be anyone who was at least in a 10 meters range of him. But when he looked down the heart had vanished. Now he was just starring at his love alarm without any heart.
Disappointed Sugawara decided to let it go for now and entered his classroom.

When class ended the setter stretched and adjusted his shoulder back ready to go home. Walking down the hallway and down the first stairs he couldn't' t help but think about this morning.
He felt nervous but also excited knowing there was someone out there who loved him.
His whole school life he never experienced something like this. Sure he thought about dating but because of volleybal he just hadn't the time for romance. This was also the main reason why most of his friends and team members where single. Well except for Daichi who had Michimiya.
And Kageyama and Hinata. But those two where single for another extra reason...
A sudden vibration pulled him out of his thoughts and he reached into his pants pocket. There it was again, the golden heart.
His eyes glimmered and he frantically looked around. He was alone in the hall, no sign of anyone.
Suddenly the door next to him slide open revealing Yachi and you " Oh hi Suga" the petit girl greeted
The silver haired looked at her bewildered. Could it be her? Was she the one ringing his alarm. He turned his attention to you and then looked back at his phone. As if you could read his mind you got what was happening. Sugawara eyes averted to the blond girl and he glanced down at her wrist. It was raped in a bandage.
" Yachi are you okay? " He asked concerned
"Oh this! It's nothing really" She reassured
" Well I better get going. Its pretty late and I still have some chores to do at home!" You sighed " Are you gonna be fine?"
"Hmm don't worry, thanks again L/N"
You took one last look at the two before jogging away

"..."
" Yachi? Can I...ask you something?" Sugawara questioned breaking the silence unsure if what he was about to do was such a good idea. The girl nodded with a smile
" Do you perhaps...like me?" Yachi tilted her head to the side " Of course I like you! Your my friend and upperclassmen"
The setter pinched his nose, this was way harder than he thought " No that's not what I meant. I mean do you like me...romantically?" He whispered the last part loud enough for her to hear
Yachi eyes widen and her body began to shake " W-What?"
Noticing her discomfort Sugawara panicked " I- I know its not the most proper thing to ask but you see my love alarm rang today and it showed a golden heart."
He quickly grabbed his phone and showed it to her " A-all day I tried to figure out who did it but nothing happend since this morning. And it so happen to rang when I passed by the infirmary and you and L/n where inside and the only people on this floor. So I thought that it had to be you since L/n confirmed this morning that she wasn't the one"
Yachi took the device and stared at it " There's nothing"
" What?"
Sugawara grabbed the phone back. There was indeed nothing. Just the app without a heart. He raised his eyebrows now feeling more confused then ever
" But it was just there a minute ago. Is your phone off?" Yachi shook her head " No"

You where slowly walking up the hill enjoying the quiet atmosfeer with a beautiful view. The sun was setting and the sky had a magnificent orange, red colour. There was a light breeze making your hair float.
But despite the calm surrounding your mind kept wandering to todays event

You had totally forgotten to turn it off when you had to deliver them a message from the coach. So when he showed you the golden heart your breath hitched. You knew you liked him but that you loved him was a whole other level.
For once you where actually grateful that Yachi had forgotten her phone at the gym. Because this allowed you to hide your feelings a little longer. But you knew that wouldn't last. Unfortunately you didn't expect to run into him again after school. Its like fate was bitting you in the ass.
But this wasn't the only thing that bugged you. Since the release of love alarm people would only rely on the app to now how they felt about someone. As if without it you wouldn't be able to now your true feelings.
You knew how you felt about Sugawara for a long time before you downloaded the app. But the question was if he was aware of his feelings towards you? Did he feel the same as you without the app telling him?
That was something you where unsure of. If he liked you, you didn't want him to tell you that just because the app mentioned it. You wanted a honest answer without the help of technologie.
" L/n!" you froze
" L/n I nee-"
" Don't come any closer! " you yelled making Sugawara stop in his tracks abruptly
"L/n..We need to talk "
You gulped " I know" slowly you turned around " But before you ask anything, may I go first?"
The setter slowly nodded " How do you feel about me?"
At that moment it was as if time had stopped. Like everything around you dissapeared and it was just the two of you starring at each other. No one said a word. You felt your hands began to sweat and a knot was forming in your stomach. His brown eyes didn't leave your E/c ones making you all the more nervous. You eagerly waited for his answer.
In Suga's mind his thoughts where running wild. Countless of memories with you floated in his head. Your first encounter, you becoming the third manager of Karasuno, your first fight together, eating buns. Everything. All those good and happy memories gave him a warm comfortable feeling. And he liked this sensation, it was nice put most importantly it felt right.
" I love you Y/N" he confidently declared
Hearing this made your eyes water.
You took a step forward and felt your phone vibrate in your hand. Sugawara took this as a sign to come closer to you.
And when you stood in front of each other, only then did you show him your phone
With an golden heart
But you didn't care that the app told you that the boy you loved returned those feelings. You where most happy to discover his feelings from him personally
