"Alaska, darling!" Zanes voice yelled softly from the other side of the door, knocking on it slightly. Alaska squinted her eyes from the sun, rolling over on her pillow with a groan, "You nearly ready in there?"

Alaska's eyes fluttered open a second, looking at the small alarm clock by her bed. She suddenly shot up, realize it was nearly twenty minutes past the time she originally planned on getting up. Alaska sat up fast, holding her head at the sudden jult she made, "Five minutes!"

Zane called back with a okay, his feet heading down the steps. Alaska looked next to her, frowning in confusion with a eyebrow raise. A faint grin formed on her face as she sat up some, looking over at the victorian couch she got for christmas. Hawk was on his computer, completely focused.

"You didn't bother to wake me?" she asked with a eyebrow raise, buttoning the button up she fell asleep in better. Hawk looked her way with a grin, standing up and walking her way, "I always straighten my hair on the first day."

"I got scared to wake you up." he spoke while pulling her to her feet with a grin, "Last time I did that you decked me in the face, I cried."

"Oh, I felt so bad." Alaska said, laughing at the memory as she leaned into him, still tired with a hum. Her arms wrapped around his waist as he held her shoulders, "What were you doing?"

"Getting a early look at our schedules, seeing if we had any classes together." Hawk spoke as Alaska hummed, "Don't you have to be there early for office assistant? Get all the new students ready and toured?"

"What the shit? Yes!" Alaska exclaimed as she sprinted to her closet, nearly tripping over the empty boxes of shoes on the floor, "Why didn't you wake me up? You're such a jerk. I didn't even have time to meditate, straighten my hair, take a bath in my essential oils."

"You do that every morning? Since when?" he asked with a crazy look, sitting back on the couch as he watched her every move.

"No, just the first day. They're stressful and this years gonna be so much worse." Alaska said, looking between two tops in questioning. One being a nice beige color that looked nice against her skin tone but the green ones was her favorite but tight fitting now. Alaska paused as her thoughts finally set in, this wasn't just going to be a normal first day for her and she knew it.

"Stop thinking about it, it'll be fine." Hawk spoke quickly, seeing her face as she turned to look at him, "No ones gonna say anything to you. The amount of videos on the internet of you kicking ass definitely silenced them."

Alaska pulled a knowing look as she went with the beige top, throwing the green one on the ground rather then hanging it up, "Yeah, and what if they do say something? I get expelled for fighting?"

"Yup." Hawk said as she looked at him in a dumb way, pulling on the beige top and grabbing the lavender essential oil to put behind her ears and under her nose, "Who cares what anyone says? You have me and the team, we don't care that you made a mistake once and recovered from it."

Alaska smiled as she looked over at him, making her way over and leaning down to give him a quick peck on the lips, eyeing his attire oddly, "Since when do you keep new clothes here?"

"Keep em in the car." he said, standing up and looking through her shoes, "Do you have all your books?"

"Yeah, i'm good on all of that." she said with a nod of her head, "Leather or plaid pants?"

"Leather." he called back, picking out the pair of shoes and laying them down on her bed, "See, we're almost done."

"Eyelashes, Eli! Eyelashes take forever." Alaska said in disbelief as she hurried toward the bathroom, zipping her pants in the process, "How much time do we have?"

"Ten minutes, fifteen if we speed." he spoke back to her, getting her bag from the closet and lining up her books and folders the way she'd always done them, "Did you see the video?"

Alaska paused her movement as she went silent a moment, pumping the mascara wand slightly, "Yeah, last night."

"How come you didn't say anything?" Hawk asked, walking into the bathroom to stand with her, "I didn't see until this morning."

"I didn't want to ruin our night." Alaska spoke as she coated her left eyelash, sighing as she got some on her eyelid, "I'm sorry."

"What if people say something?" Hawk asked suddenly as Alaska gave a odd look in the mirror, "About the.... Eli's water bed thing."

"They won't!" she tried to say, though she wondered if they would, "We're gonna be fine, okay? Peoples are jerks, if anyone says anything then screw them."

Hawk walked out of the bathroom, sitting on her bed. Alaska finished her other eye before walking his way, standing infront of him and grabbing the sides of his face, "Its not gonna be like it use to be, I promise."

"I know." he said, letting his head drop in her hands some, "But what if it is?"

"Still have me." Alaska grinned as she sat by his side and pulling her shoes on in the process, "Things are different now, no matter what Demetri said at the party. Maybe some people will say stuff, but you can shut them up, i've seen it."

Hawk leaned onto her shoulder, his hair poking her in the face slightly, "Take your own advice, hypocrite."

The pair laughed at his words as Alaska turned to kiss him on the forehead with a small hum, "We better go explain to my dad why you're here."

"I'm starting to think he doesn't like me anymore." Eli said as the pair grabbed their bags and headed out of her room, "He doesn't talk to me the same way he use to."

"Give him time, he's not good with change." Alaska spoke, turning to grab his hand as they walked down the stairs, "He loves you."

"Are people looking at me or is my mind just being a complete bitch today and trying to trick me?" Alaska had to ask as she joined hands with Hawk again, the pair walking through the parking lot at school. She could see people turned to look at her, whispering slightly with their friends, "They're definitely talking about me, I wanna go home."

"They're not talk about you, they're talking about us." Hawk corrected her, pulling her closer with a grin, "We look like a high school clique."

"There's like barley any high school cliques about best friends to lovers. Love, Rosie was the blueprint and that wasn't even really a high school film." Alaska spoke as the pair stopped traffic to walk across, "Didn't people expect this at least? I mean, we do everything together."

"Did you expect it?" he had to ask with a laugh, nodding for a freshman to open the door for them as they walked in.

"Yes, I did actually. Though, it was more of a summer fling I figured we'd have but the universe works in weird ass ways." Alaska said with a shrug of her shoulders, adjusting her bag on her shoulder, "Someone should make a book about us. Two best friends that have been victims of high school abuse have a huge transformation, loose sight of each other, but are clearly the endgame so they have a backseat romance and now they're dating."

Hawk laughed as Alaska shrugged, "Sounds like a hit to me."

"New York Times best seller." Eli nodded as the pair were suddenly distracted by the whispers and eyes their way, "Do you have a title in mind?"

"The walmart version of Sam and Rosie." Alaska nodded her head with a hum, grinning as they stopped infront of the office, "I'll see you after."

"I'll save you a seat." he spoke as Alaska hummed, leaning in for a quick kiss to the lips. Demetris eyes widened from across the hallway, mouth dropping. He hide slightly when Hawk walked by, waiting till he was gone to disappear into the office where Alaska had been.

"You know, I figured i'd be the first one to know when the two of you finally got together." he spoke while walking into the office, gaining her attention, "But one of you hates me and the other doesn't bother to talk to me anymore so how would I know?"

"I do talk to you, you've the one that ghost me out of no where and don't show up to the cook out or answer the door when I come over." Alaska said to him with a knowing look, looking around the office in hopes of finding the ladies that work in the front desk, "By the way, turning off the lights and TV when I knock is a complete give a way."

"Okay, well one, we didn't go to the barbecue because we thought your cobra kai friends would be there." he said with a knowing look as Alaska gave him a look of disbelief, "And two, to be fair, I thought you were the neighbor asking me to come play."

"Right." Alaska rolled her eyes, "Or maybe it was the fact that you were watching Star Wars with your best friend, Sam."

"Is this what you're mad about? Am I the only one that remembers you completely abandoning me when you got all these new friends? Sorry that I was tired of feeling like a burden." Demetri said with a eye roll to mimic her actions. Alaska looked as him in disbelief, scanning his face in questioning.

"Is that actually what you felt like? Just because I was busy some days to hang out doesn't mean I was giving you the cold shoulder or didn't love you anymore, I still wanted us to be close. And we were for a while there, even after we didn't spent every single day together." Alaska said, hesitating to say her next words but couldn't help herself, "I'm sure you're new best friend, Samantha LaRusso, is just absolutely perfect though."

"So this is about Sam now? You pretty much just said we're allowed to have other friends." Demetri said in disbelief her way, leaning on the counter with a knowing look her way.

"Yeah, we are, but it feels like you're replacing me." Alaska said to him with a sad look, "You have a whole new trio now, we use to be the trio."

"Yeah, and then your boyfriend tried to kick my ass." Demetri said with a minor glare, though he looked more hurt then anything, "Then you went off and got too busy for me."

"I know, and that's on me. But you were never a burden to me, I liked having you around, even if we had our differences about karate. I love you, i'd never just abandon you because I make new friends. I never cared that you'd joined Miyagi Do either, or the fact that you've made more friends. I just care about the fact that you treat her the way you use to treat me. That hurts, no matter who comes into my life, I could never talk to anyone the way I talk to you." Alaska said, eyeing him slightly before looking away. Demetri opened his mouth to talk about before the councilor walked from the office with a hesitant look.

"Alaska." she had with a fake smile, "There's been a few changes."

Alaska walked into chemistry with sad eyes, hurrying to fall into the chair with Miguel and Hawk.

"Wow, what are you doing here? The announcements are about to start." Miguel said quickly as he saw her first, Hawk turning to find her beside him.

"They don't want me to do them anymore." she said in disbelief, rolling her eyes slightly, not bothering to look at them, "They don't want me in the office at all, actually."

"What? Why?" Eli asked her in disbelief, "You love office assistant."

"They said they like the kids in the office to set a good example and 'because of my recent reputation' it won't look too good for them." Alaska said with a slightly hurt look, her face squinted slightly as she tried not to let her emotions get the best of her. Though she was hurt by being kicked out of office, she had been on the verge of tears more so because of her conversation with Demetri. She hadn't realized she ever made him feel that way, hadn't realized she had been just as bad of a friend to him as Hawk was, "I just wanna go home."

"Hey, just seven more classes and we can leave." Miguel said as he reached behind Hawk to hold Alaska's shoulder, "And we can get guac and wings."

Alaska tried to hold back her smile as he yanked one of her curls slightly, "And watch cheesy romance movies."

"You two are so annoying." Hawk said as he held Alaskas hand under the table with a faint grin.

"Do you swear?" Alaska asked as she looked to Miguel, "Last time you said that we ended up watching reruns of The Walking Dead."

"Swear." Miguel promised with a nod of his head, "I'm talking The Notebook, About Time, Love Actually, Me Before You, If I Stay."

"Miguel, man, you're making my ears bleed." Hawk said as the pair laughed at his words, "You're such a girl."

"Says the one who cried in Harry Potter." Miguel said as Hawk gave him a knowing look, "Too soon?"

Alaska laughed as she flipped through the chemistry book, trying to get a feel of what they'd be learning this year. She thought about Demetri again, missing him. She missed when they were four rather then three, missed when the petty and constant rivalry wasn't so high. Alaskas thoughts were cut short by an unexpected voice ringing infront of them, "Hey, man. I just wanted to say, I wet the bed until I was thirteen. There's nothing to be ashamed of."

Alaska looked at Hawk to see he had a slight embarrassment look across his face, reaching across of her and slapping the kids books from his hands, "Get the hell out of my face!"

Alaska slapped his arm, picking up one of the books for the kid and waiting until he walked off to turn to Hawk, "Chill out, babe."

"Babe?" Miguel asked, alarmed quickly as he looked at the pair and staring at Hawk, "I thought you were lying about it."

"That was humiliating, my god." Hawk said under his breath as Alaska rubbed his back slightly.

"Hello? Babe?" Miguel continued on at the pair in disbelief. The announcement rang in their ears, making Alaska roll her eyes.

"You're voice is so much sexier to hear then hers." Eli reassured Alaska as they listened to the councilor speak, "She wishes she was you."

Alaska flushed slightly as she cracked a grin, opening her mouth to say something before a new voice rung over the announcements, "Samantha LaRusso. You know what you did, and now you're gonna pay for it."

"Oh, holy hell." Alaska said as she listened to Tory, "World War II is about to break loose."

"I'm coming for you, bitch!" Tory yelled as the announcements fell silent again. Miguel took off in a sprint out of the classroom, making the couple he left behind share a look.

"Should we..." Alaska trailed off with a eyebrow raise.

"Hell yeah." Hawk smirked, joining hands against as the pair hurried out of the classroom.

kylie speaks

so a lot has
happened this
chapter, you see.

first of all, let's
talk about alaska
and demetri. they're
both clearly super
jealous of each
other having other
friends and are extremely
insecure about their
friendship now. in my
opinion, they're both in
the wrong for not realizing
they hurt each other.

now, zane not being a
fan of eli anymore? a very
minor sentence but y'all
know i like to put small
things into my chapters
that end up being a huge
role in the book later on.

i can absolutely feel
alaska becoming blind
of hawks shitty actions
because she finally has
him.

alaska is 100% a "babe"
girlfriend and you can't
change my mind about
it.

that little brother x sister
moment with miguel and
al hurt a bit to write ngl,
considering what happens
in the next chapter:(

imagine how johnny
would react if he knew
the office isn't letting
alaska on office duty
anymore.

alaska being jealous
of sam? will it lead to
some unexpected and
unnecessary tension?
maybe, maybe not.

and finally, LETS
GET SO ANSWRS
FROM YASMINE NEXT
CHAPTER 👏🏼
