you, xingqiu, xiao, xiangling, and chongyun had decided to meet up at a beautiful restaurant after school. although you and xiao weren't in the same school as xiangling, chongyun and xingqiu, you five became good friends due to competitions between other schools. you and xiao were seated next to each other whole the others all stayed together, ready to order their food.
everyone called for their food, and before you started to eat, you caught a glimpse of a sign on the top of the restaurant which had some russian words on it. it reminded you of childe, someone you had seen appear in your social media stuff for a long time but didn't look it up. you nudged xiao beside you. he looked at you, chewing his food. "yes?"
"xiao have you ever met someone named childe?" you asked.
xiangling spat out her water immediately. to your complete surprise, and xiao's as well, xingqiu and chongyun gave each other strange looks with a smirk before they got up from their seat, stood on their chair and started singing. you took a look at xiangling, who looked like she was about to scream.
xingqiu started it first, "THERE LIVED A CERTAIN MAN, IN RUSSIA LONG AGO-"
"NO XINGQIU WE TALKED ABOUT THIS-" xiangling screamed as she grabbed xingqiu down and forced him back down to sit. xingqiu started to laugh hysterically as chongyun swayed side to side and continued the song.
"HE WAS BIG AND STRONG WITH HIS EYES A FLAMING GLOW-"
xiangling sighed as xingqiu got out of xiangling's grasps and went up to stand on his chair and started to sing again. xiao and you just exchanged strange looks while xiangling covered her face with her bowl of rice from high embrassement. these two kids were screaming the lyrics in a restaurant.
xingqiu started again. "MOST PEOPLE LOOK AT HIM, WITH TERROR AND WITH FEAR!"
"BUT TO MOSCOW GIRLS, HE WAS SUCH A LOVELY DEAR."
"xingqiu... chongyun... please stop." xiangling begged as she slumped down on the dinner table. everyone in the restaurant had already been staring at the both of them, but to make matters worse, xinyan bursted through the doors of the restaurant, snapping everyone's attention towards her.
how she got here was beyond you.
she strummed her electric guitar and smirked at the two boys. "did someone started to sing... childe's song? ( ͡°ω ͡°)"
"oh yes. ( ͡°ω ͡°)" xingqiu said.
"wanna join us, xinyan? ( ͡°ω ͡°)" chongyun asked.
"oh god..." xiangling buried her face into her hands as xingqiu and chongyun both got down from their chairs, dragged xinyan over with them towards the only stage in the restaurant and started to sing the same song over and over again. xiao and you were already very confused, but xiangling just flushed out of embarrassment as the people in the restaurant all laughed and clapped and cheered for them.
some of them even started to pull out their phones and recorded the three kids dancing and singing to a russian song about childe.
"who is childe?" xiao asked you as the three friends started to fume their love for the song.
xiangling then gestured towards the three liyuen monkeys on the stage. "they're literally singing about him..."
you nodded your head as you took a sip of your water before pulling out your phone to record them as well. "i am so letting the whole school seemed this tomorrow."
"i think they had too much wine earlier in school, well, xingqiu and chongyun, xinyan i'm not so sure." xiangling groaned as she just looked away as she picked up her chopsticks and began to eat her food without gagging at how xingqiu was simply screaming the lyrics into the microphone.
xinyan's guitar was somewhat of an ear-sore to xiao, but he needn't ask who childe was anymore, as the devil himself had barged into the restaurant after hearing the song of him being played outside while he passed by.
everyone turned to look at the young man in thick fur coat with a bottle of vodka in his hand, but for some reason, he had a maraca in his other hand as well as a sombrero on the top of his head.
"did someone sing my song?" childe asked, shaking the maraca in his hand.
xiangling slammed the table as she pointed directly at childe. "THAT ISNT EVEN RUSSIAN, THATS MEXICAN! GET YOUR COUNTRY FACTS STRAIGHT! YOU CANT JUST WALTZ IN HERE WITH A SOMBRERO AND MARACA WITH A BOTTLE OF VODKA WHILE THEY'RE SINGING YOUR RUSSIAN SONG!"
childe took off his hat and smirked over at xiangling. you noticed that most girls in the restaurant had started to blush at the sight of this young attractive man, and when childe noticed this too, he threw his sombrero towards a crowd of girls, who surprisingly got off their chairs and started to catch the hat.
"what in the-" xiao started, dropping his chopsticks onto the table. childe made his way towards the stage where xingqiu, chongyun and xinyan were, still screaming out childe's song.
xiangling slapped her face and sat back down. she then looked at xiao, and smiled annoyingly. "that, is childe."
"is he russian...?"
"IS THAT NOT OBVIOUS?!" xiangling cried as she buried her face into her hands in embrassement as childe started singing into the microphone as well. to your surprise, some of the girls had leapt from their tables and started to run towards the stage, the closer the better, towards childe.
they were starting to scream and cheer as if there was a concert inside this restaurant tonight. although xiangling was embarrassed, the waitress and waitresses were quite happy with the amount of people coming into the restaurant just to meet childe and listen to this song.
"is he a celebrity in russia or-" xiao asked, pointing over at childe.
you shrugged your shoulders. "i don't know, maybe xiangling knows. hey ling, who's he? i have seen his name appear on social media and stuff but-"
"y/n... he's my russian teacher...."
you and xiao bursted out laughing as xiangling buried her face into her hands even more. xiangling was beyond embarrassed.
xiangling then started to explain that childe was the russian teacher in her, xinyan, xingqiu and chongyun's school, and he quickly became a student-favourite in that school as he was attractive, lovely, handsome, kind, flirty, and most importantly, he was young, which meant if they wanted to date him, they were actually allowed to.
he was so popular in their school that the students had started to make a song about childe. he became so popular among the students that the students told their friends, their friends told their parents, their parents told their friends, and that was how the song of childe was passed on all around.
you and xiao were quite shocked to hear this from xiangling, as you and xiao had never heard of this big news at all.
"its because you two transfered from another state over here," she said, still flushing red. "of course you wouldn't have heard about this when it first blew up... but this is so embarrassing..."

you and xiao were too busy laughing to worry about xiangling's high embarrassment as everyone in the restaurant was basically cheering for this young man and three kids that were also his students.
you had no idea how fun this night had been just because you were lucky enough to ask who childe was. you hadn't laughed like that in ages, and when you and xiao finally calmed down, you looked towards xiangling.
"why are you so embarrassed?" you asked.
xiangling sighed. "its just embarrassing when you know who childe is dating..."
"woah, he's dating?" you asked with glows in your eyes. "who who who???"
she sighed. "you know that chinese history teacher in you and xiao's school...?"
xiao then snorted. "you... mean mr. zhongli?"
when xiangling nodded, you and xiao started laughing again. you two couldn't believe that childe was actually dating someone as calm and collected as zhongli, they did not seem like a match at all.
"trust me," xiangling said, as if she had read their minds about then not being a pair. "childe is much more different when he's around zhongli, he's a goddamn bottom for zhongli."
"A BOTTOM HAHAHAHAHA...." xiao laughed so hard that he had to hold his stomach. nobody in the restaurant was bothered by the loud noise anymore, as the screaming girls at the front were louder than everyone.
the restaurant just became the biggest night disco tonight, and while more people poured in to witness three kids dancing and singing with their teacher, you, xiao and xiangling just enjoyed the dinner regardless of how the night played out. as long as you got to have fun like this, everything was perfect to you.
