Previously on Total Drama Island

Alexandra won Chef's heart, gaining her team a victory.

Heather read Alexandra's diary with her entry, turning her team against her. Thanks to Leshawna and other Gophers everything seems to be stable, though.

Courtney made up with Alex but, does it mean the drama is gone?

I enter the canteen alone. I had a sleep-in today. My back is aching, but I keep it together. I'm anxious to find out the results of last night's elimination. I want to believe Heather is gone, but I have a feeling I'll be proven wrong.

I take a look at Gopher's table, and there she is, sitting next to Lindsay and Beth. I run up to Trent.

-Trent, what happened during the elimination ceremony?

-Lexy, take a seat.- I do as he says.

-It didn't go as planned. Justin was voted off.

-What?! But how I thought...

-We all thought. It looks like Heather managed to persuade the rest.- He takes my hand.

-I didn't even say goodbye.

-I need to tell you something, come over here. We don't need anyone to hear that conversation.- He leads me to the corner.

There is a table with a samovar filled with water and cups. Trent makes me a cup of tea.

-Trent, just tell me.

-He said, he'll miss you.

-Look at me. I know it's not everything.

-After all of this, I'm just stressed, Alexandra. I don't want to leave yet, but considering the situation, everything is possible.

I hug him, and he relaxes. I soothingly rub his back.

-If you need me, I'll be there for you, just like you are here for me. Thanks for the tea, I'm always up for a cup in the morning.

-Noted.

Confessionals

Duncan: She came to Trent, not us. I can't blame her, though. I don't know if there is anything I can do to get her trust again.

Trent lead me to my team table and offered some of them a glare. We part ways, and I sit with my team next to Harold. I smell the tea from a warm cup in my hands. DJ comes over.

-It's for you, I made it with Chef this morning. I'm sorry.

He hands me a baking sheet full of cupcakes. I take it and stand up. I give him one, then move towards Chef and hand him one, also. I walk to Trent, Gwen, and Leshawna, giving each of them one. I finally make my way back to our table and set a cupcake in front of everyone. I return the baking sheet and sit down next to Harold again, sipping my tea.

Confessionals

Leshawana: That's so nice of her. I love Alexandra, she's a badass with a kind heart.

Geoff: She's an angel, how could I've ever doubted it? Stupid [facepalm]

Alexandra: I wish we had gone for this walk earlier. I wish we did, but I mess it up again. It's all my fault you left, if only you didn't help me...

- Good morning. Campers, today's challenge will test your outdoor survival skills. I'm not gonna lie to you. Some of you may not come back alive. Just joking. [laughs] All you have to do is spend one night in the woods. Everything you need is at your team's campsite in the forest. You just have to find it. Oh, and watch out for bears. Lost a couple of interns in pre-production. The first team back for breakfast wins invincibility! Well, off you go!- Chris explains.

He throws a compass and map, and Duncan catches them. Courtney gives him a nasty look and snatches them from his hands.

-Did he say there are bears up in here?- Leshawna asks.

-I had a little encounter with a bear once. Let's just say his head looks nice up on my mantle.- Owen says.

-Ooh! This one time, I saw a bear eating our garbage! He had old spaghetti noodles hanging from his big, huge teeth! It looked like blood and guts! It was so gross. And we thought he was eating the neighbor's cat Simba, but it turns out he was just lost for a week. Uh, you didn't eat spaghetti, did you? Good, let's go!- Izzy pipes up.

-Let's go, team. Don't waste time here.- Courtney says.

I follow her into the forest, and so do the rest of us. I walk in silence until Bridgette approaches me.

-Hey, Alexandra. Thanks for the cupcake.

-You should thank DJ, not me.

-Well...

-If you wanted to say sorry one more time, you don't have to.

-But...

-No buts. Can we just leave it behind, I don't want to think about it.

-Sure.- She smiles.

-Let me tell you just one thing. I said it to Courtney yesterday. Don't mistake my kindness with stupidity. It concerns all of you. Don't you know you shouldn't eavesdrop?

I turn around to see my team, excluding Courtney, who leads the way. They all look away as if nothing happened. Duncan steps toward me.

-Can we talk, princess?

-We're talking now.

-In private.

I hesitate for a moment but finally pluck up my courage.

-Alright, I'm all ears.

He leads me to the back of the group, distancing us from them.

-Are you really, afraid of me?

I look down, not wanting to meet his stern eyes.

-Are you angry with me? Can I do something to fix it?

I don't answer.

-Say something. No matter what, just talk to me, Alexandra.

-You never use my name.- I look up, eventually.

-Does it matter, cupcake?

I hug my arms.

-I'm sorry.- He says finally.

-What?

-You seriously want me to say it, again. Fine, I'm sorry. Are you still angry with me?

-I never was angry with you.

-What?- He is truly surprised.

-Just disappointed. I thought that... It doesn't matter what, I thought. Forget I said anything.

-I can't take it back, but please give me a chance.

-I don't know.

Noah's words linger in my head. 'He's the only one who can hurt you?' I remember how Duncan treated me yesterday. I start to walk away.

-Please, Alexandra. Please...

I stop in my tracks and turn to face him. Something tells me he's genuine. He looks vulnerable, letting his bad guy mask fall. I come back and hug him. For the first time, neither of us is wearing a smirk. Our banter is gone for a while.

He hugs back, and for a moment, time stops for us.

Confessionals

Alexandra: I don't know why I did this. Neither do I know if it was the right thing to do, but when he was standing there, I just couldn't leave him.

Duncan: For a moment, I thought she'll walk away, but she did look back. And I like her for that even more, because she was so empathetic. [pause] What is she doing with me?! I need to focus on the game!

I break the hug. He wants to say something but is interrupted by BFFs, standing near us.

-Sadie, look. Blueberries.

- I love, love, love blueberries!

-Oh my gosh! Me too!

They run in the opposite direction as my teammates.

-Go, catch up with them. I'll get our duo.

-Are you sure? I can go with you.

-I don't need a babysitter.- I smirk.

I leave him and follow the girls. I walk along the path they went in, but I can't see them anywhere.

-Girls?! Katie, Sadie?! Where are?!

I check all bushes on my way, knowing they can get in trouble in no time. They don't know how to behave in the forest, and they have no idea about survival skills.

With Katie and Sadie

-Okay. Those were so yummy. Can you believe how yummy those were?

-They were so yummy. Katie, where's the rest of the team?

-I don't know. They must be nearby. Killer Bass, where are you?!

-Killer Bass! This is just like when we were seven and we lost our moms at the mall.

-And you started to cry and the security guards had to like, page our moms and they were so mad.

-Oh my gosh, like, take a pill. We're fine.

-Killer Bass, where are you?!

With Killer Bass

-How did it go?- Geoff asks Duncan.

-Tell us everything.- DJ insists.

-I think she gave me a second chance.

-For real, dude.- Geoff questions.

-Looks like.- Duncan smirks.

-Where is she now?- Geoff continues.

-She went to get those stupid twins. They went looking for berries or something. They'll catch up.

With Katie and Sadie

-You don't know where we are, do you?

-Yes! Okay, no. It's so not my fault. Have you ever noticed that all trees look the same?

-Ooh, I knew I should have known better than to listen to you.

-What, you don't think I'm smart enough to find them?

-You're not exactly the best with like, directions.

-Yuh-huh, I am!

-Nuh-uh! You're not! 'Cause, we're L-O-S-T. Lost!

With Alexandra

I looked through shrubberies in a kilometer range and didn't find girls. I sit on a stump for a while. I take a piece of paper and write a quick message leaving it near the spot I saw them last time. If they go back here, they'll be able to get to our camp, thanks to the directions I wrote down. Maybe, they've already caught up with them and, I'm staying behind for nothing. Worried and disappointed, I decided to join my team.

With Killer Bass

Harold is trying to start the fire, Tyler is checking backpacks, while Courtney, Geoff, and Bridgette are pitching a tent. Duncan shoves Harold walking by.

-Faster nerd or, we'll have to sit in darkness the whole night.

-Ohh, you idiot. I got a splinter. Alexandra, can you take it out?- Harold looks around, looking for his blond friend.

-What's for dinner, woman? I'm starving.- Duncan asks Courtney.

-I hope you don't expect me to dignify that with a response.

-Hey guys, look what I found!-DJ shows them a fluffy, little bunny.

-Well, I've never had rabbit stew before, but what the heck? I'm game.- Duncan comments.

-This is my new pet! I'm calling him Bunny!

-You couldn't find any food? Then it looks like we're acting grubs and berries for dinner.- Courtney scoffs.- Unless Alexandra has some food in her bag.

-Where is she? I haven't seen her for a while.- Bridgette says.

-I haven't seen her, since we got here, to be honest.- Courtney informs.

-I told you this, a moment ago. Why no one listens to me?- Harold huffs.

-Oh crap! She was looking for Katie and Sadie.- Duncan states.

-They are not here as well.- Tyler looks around.

-Oh no, what if something happened. What if a bear attacked them?- DJ panics.

-No way, they have to be, ok? Alexandra is with them after all. Right?- Bridgette tries to convince herself.

With Katie and Sadie

- Katie, look. It's the tree with the fork in it. That's good, right?!

- No. It's not good. It's the same tree we saw two hours ago! we just walked in a gigantic circle!

The hooting of an owl scares the girls. They hide in a cave.

-We'll be safe here until morning.

-No, we're going to die here. We're going to die here.

With Alexandra

It's dark and chilly. I wrap my arms around myself to stay warm. I can see a fire in the distance and waste no time approaching it.

-What is it?- Bridgette shrinks.

-What is what?- Duncan asks.

-That sounds.

-We're in the forest could be anything.- Duncan rolls his eyes.

-Last time I checked, I wasn't a thing, but a person.- I step out of the shadows.

-Alexandra.- Bridgette hugs me.

-Glad you joined our party, princess. Where are Tweedledum and Tweedleidiot?- Duncan asks.

-I wish I knew. I checked every single bush in like kilometer range and didn't find them.

-At least you tried.- DJ gives me a welcome hug.- We were worried.

-No need, I can take care of myself.- I wink.

-I'd die if I were you. Forests are creepy during the day and, you were walking out there all by yourself in darkness.- Bridgette states.

-Do you have something to eat? DJ didn't find anything for us.- Courtney asks.

-Here you go, not much but will do.- I pull out some fruits from my bag.

-That reminds me. Alexandra, meet Bunny, Bunny, meet Alexandra.DJ shows me a rabbit. He's small gray and fluffy.

-Aww, who's a total cutie? Come to me, sweetie.

I pick up an animal and pet it. I smile uncontrollably and hug Bunny.

-I knew you'll like him. Duncan wanted to eat him, but I stopped him.- DJ says proudly.

-Don't worry Bunny, I and DJ will protect you. Oh, who's so fluffy? Who's so cute, you are!

I sit next to DJ with the animal. DJ smiles, seeing me getting along with his new pet. I can't help but giggle like a kid holding a small rabbit.

-Yeah, give all the attention to the stupid animal.- Duncan rolls his eyes.

-Oh, don't listen, little one. Duncan is simply jealous he's not as sweet as you.

-I'm not sweet at all!- Duncan protests.

-That's why I'm hugging Bunny, not you.

Everyone except Duncan laughs at that.

-Dude, how does it feel to get dumped over a rabbit?- Geoff jokes.

-Shut up! I wasn't dumped.

-That's true. I can't ditch a guy I'm not dating.

-You're not dating me yet, darling, but we can change that.

-Thanks, but no thanks.

-We'll see about it.

-Keep dreaming, juvie. Anyway, you guys made an awesome camp. Good job.

-Alexandra, can you help me with a splinter?- Harold asks.

-Of course, why didn't you say earlier? Bunny you need to stay with papa DJ, your auntie Alexandra is needed.- I hand the mentioned boy his pet.

-Aww, that's so cute.- Bri squeals.

-It's just a rabbit, Alexandra.- Duncan says.

I stick out my tongue and then take my medical kit, taking care of Harold.
