Kuina sat in class at the desk in front of Chishiya. He would poke her occasionally for them to giggle at random things and people in there class. Honestly they alomost never paied attention but they was the type to have the two highest grades on tests so they could care less about classwork. The teacher walked in with a very small figure following behind. The whole class eyes you while the teacher cleared his throat. You had (your hiar type) out in a neat way with a black anime shirt with light blue jeans and your white bag

Teach:" We have a new student joining us for this year this is (Y/N)."
Kuina zoned out staring at you intensely. You looked exactly like her old friend she had in summer camp that she never forgot and even had the same name. How could she forget the one person that accepted and stood up for her back then.
Flashback
Random kid:"Ha, Ha you knows karate but is afraid to hit someone!"
All the kids gathered around Hikari as he got up stumbling slightly. He got pushed into someone on the lunch line on accident. He apologized but got pushed to the ground, knowing his teaching they fought for a while. But failing to deliver the final hit, the same thing his father always scolded him for.
You:" Leave him alone!"
You walked up to the next boy and kicked him sending hom flying to the wall. Several kids gasped and backed up while otheres cooed and instigates whispering things like" he got beat up by a girl" and giggling. You turned to Hikari and smiled while he stared at you in awe, you grabbed his hand and walked out the lunchroom caben.
You:" Im (Y/N) by the way are you okay?"
Hikari:" Yes Im Hikari and thank you but why did you help me?"
You stopped and smiled at him sweetly
You:" I just wanted to see him fly"
You both giggled as he let you drag him to a lake to feed the ducks away from everyone else.
End of Flashback
At some point the teacher instructed you to sit at the desk on the side of Kuina. She didnt mean to stare at you so much but the more she took in your features the more she had a feeling you were the one. The one that was her first friend and the one she had secretly grown feelings for. All thoese years of being apart and yet her butterflies she felt the moment she met you then all returned now.
Unfortunately for you, you remember the Hikari you were looking for to be a boy. There wasnt a day that went by that you didnt remember him or even tear at the thought of never finding him. That was the only person you cared for and much to your annoyance this chick next to you wouldnt stop staring. You sighed to yourself and turned slightly towards Kuina
You:" Can you maybe stop staring at me?"
Your voice caught her of gaurd not going to lie, she blushed slightly looking away.
Kuina:" S-sorry"
Chishiya tilted his head slightly staring at the back of Kuina's head while she looked down at her desk. He's never known her to stutter she's usually just as blunt as he is but in a much nicer way sometimes. The bell rung and signaled everyone to go to gym, noone ever did anything so as usual everyone sat in the bleachers scattered about on there phone and such. Kuina sat down unraveling a small lollypop and twirling the stick in her mouth. Chishiya sat next to her still observing her weird behavior as he followed her eyes to you. You were sitting on the bleachers about 4 feet across from them drawing in a book.
Chishiya:" Why do you keep staring at that girl, do you know her"
Kuina eyes flickered to him then back to you then back to him. She wrapped the lollypop back in its rapper and placing it in her jean pocket.
Kuina:" I think so.. remember my old friend I told you about"
Chishiya:" How do you know thats her for sure"
Kuina glanced at you again and noticed something this time she didnt notice before. You had a crystal bracelet on your right arm, the same bracelet she had on her left arm.
Flashback
You and Hikari were sitting side by side in arts and crafts. You were suprisingly good at drawing and building while he was struggling and got glue stuck on everything occasionally. You giggled as he whined for the 5th time in the past 2 minutes.
Hikari:" How are you so good at this?!"
You laughed some more as he shook his hand viciously trying to get a paper plate unstuck from his hands. He got it off and looked at you pouting and pushing your head
Hikari:" Its not funny!"
You:" Come on lets try this"
You dragged him to another table that had a buch of beads and crystals and all kind of gems. He watched you make a bracelet and followed you instantly as his eyes lit up threading every crystal.
You:" Wow your great at jewelry!"
He smiled at you before handing you his bracelet
Hikari:" You have it"
You smiled at him sweetly as you handed him the bracelet you made. You put yours on your right arm while he put his on his left. You both gave each other a tight hug pushing your cheeks together lightly as you laughed

End Flashback
Kuina smiled warmly at you at the memory realizing if you still had the bracelet you must still remember and she wasnt going to leave you alone until you did. You got up and walked out the gym, she watched you steadily and decided to follow you to get you alone.
Kuina:" I'll be back Chish"
His eyes flicked from his phone to watch her jog after you. He shook his head connecting the dots a while ago you were obviously more then a friend.
You looked in the bathroom mirror and sighed. Every day you tried not to breakdown at the though of so many with there friends while you lost your own. Before you had a chance to talk to yourself the door to the bathroom opened with a creak. You turned your head to the side and saw the same girl that was staring at you all day. Kuina walked next to you facing in front of the mirror and put her head down slightly. You could tell she was nervous from something but you could care less, you was about to leave until you felt a hand on your wrist. You turned back confused and slightly irritated.
Kuina:" Wait"
You cut her off and pulled your hand away from her trying not to be mean but you just didnt understand why this person seemed so attached to you
You:" You've been watching and following at me all day like can I help you with something?"
She nervously giggled before meeting your eyes. You didnt know what it was but this energy felt slightly familiar to you. She sighed before standing straight and holding eye contact with you
Kuina:" I'm sorry I dont usually invade people's space but you just look really familiar to me."
You:" um I dont think I know you sorry"
Kuina:" No you do you even kept our bracelet all these years...Im Hikari"
You froze and now it was your turn to stare at her. You noticed the bracelet before but you kept staring at her facial features. Suddenly hitting you all at once it clicked, you threw your hands over your mouth with your eyes watering as you continued to look at her. She looked at you weirdly fearing you wouldnt like her anymore from how she changed. She just found you and would hate to loose you all over again.
You:" Hi-Hikari...Omgg I missed you so much!"
You threw yourself on her waist while she breathed in a sigh of relief holding you just as tight. Her eyes watered as she nuzzled her face in your hair
You:" You changed so much.."
She brokedown slightly at that moment. You pulled away a little to meet her face as she wiped her eyes repeatedly
Kuina:" I know..I'm so sorry I never told you but I just never felt like a boy and I really liked you I didnt want you to see me differently"
You wiped her eyes and lifted her chin up as she looked down at you. You tip- toed and placed a light kiss on her lips as both your lips moved in sync slowly. You pulled away relocking your eyes.
You:" I could never see you differently Hikari, and why would I? All you did was get more gorgeous and really fucking tall."
She laughed trying not to breakdown anymore from happyness. She found you and you accepted her. She wiped away the stained tears from her face before holding out her hand to you
Kuina:" Its Kuina by the way"
You smiled widely taking her hand in yours
You:" Kuina..I like that"
She kissed your forehead as you both giggled and walked out hand in hand becoming once again inseparably.
