I don't even know what to type here. Because I don't even know why I wrote it down. It was a weird night. Don't read it if you're easily triggered by sexual assault. Please I'm begging you. This isn't a good story for you. Not soft, not gay it's getting serious for once.
Note: I already posted this once but I took it down after 10 minutes or so because I got anxious. Again this mentions sexual assault so read with caution if you're easily triggered.
Janis knew something bad had happened as soon as the sound of her phone ringing woke her up. Cadys name with the little red heart behind it appeared on the screen, along with a picture of both of them dancing together. Janis had set it as her contact picture a while ago.
Cady would never call late at night. Not if there's any other option.
She picked the phone up with shaky hands, already extremely worried about her favorite little redhead.
"Caddie?" She mumbled in a sleepy yet concerned voice.
She could hear a door silently closing and the faint click of a lock along with Cady sobbing, trying to be as quiet as she could.
Janis heart stopped. This is bad. "Cady what's wrong?" Janis never calls Cady by her real name only when she's really worried or overwhelmed and right now it was a mix of both.
She could hear Cady letting out a loud sob before clasping her hand over her mouth. It took a few seconds before she finally spoke up. "Janis can you please pick me up? I can't stay here any longer please-"
Janis jumped out of bed asking, "I'm on my way where are you?" already putting on shoes and her green army jacket. She didn't care about real clothes, shorts and an oversized Iron Maiden t-shirt were enough. What mattered was bringing Cady home safely.
"I'm at Felix place. The busses aren't driving and I don't have money for an Uber-"
"Cady breathe. It's fine. I'm on my way, I'll be there soon. Take some deep breaths, I'm coming okay?" She said in a hushed voice, trying to calm Cady down as much as she could over the phone.
"Please hurry.." Her voice was tiny and shaky. Janis could tell she was terrified.
"I'm on my way Cady. Ten minutes." she said grabbing her keys before rushing out of the house.
"Can you stay on the phone with me?"
"Of course.. can you tell me what happened?"
Cady let out another sob, clearly unable to talk.
"Hey, it's okay, just stay with me okay? I'm on my way, everything will be fine, I promise."
Cady quiet down for a second before speaking up again. "I'm so sorry.. I didn't wanna wake you."
"Cady, don't worry about me. I'll be there in five minutes and I'll bring you home-"
"NO!" Cady exclaimed and then paused for a second, instantly regretting the sudden outburst. "I can't go home right now, they will question me and, and-" Cady choked on her own words, she was helpless. Just listening to Cady cry, feeling so lost, shattered Janis' heart.
"It's okay. You can spend the weekend at my place. Don't worry about anything, we're gonna get through this. Okay?"
Cady hesitated. "Okay... Thank you."
"I love you.."
"I love you too... when are you here?"
"I'm in the driveway now do you want me to come inside and get you-"
Janis didn't even need to ask as Cady was already running out of the house into the direction of Janis truck. She was only in shorts and a crop top. She must be freezing. Her usually perfectly combed auburn hair was disheveled, her eyes red and puffy from crying and her cheeks slightly flushed. She looked... broken. Her car door opened and Cady threw herself onto the seat slamming the door shut again.
"Cady-"
"Please just drive... please" Janis heart broke yet again at the amount of hurt in Cadys voice. She wanted to know what's going on but she knew pushing Cady wouldn't make it better, so she started the car and started driving home.
There was a dead, thick silence between them, only interrupted by Cadys silent cries.
Janis looked over at her as they stopped at a traffic light.
Cady was looking down into her lap, her hair falling down, hiding her beautiful face from Janis. Her arms were crossed over her chest and she was panting slightly, shaking like a leaf. Janis couldn't tell if she was cold or if it was because of the state of shock she was in. Janis didn't know what to say. What would make Cady feel better. So she turned on the radio, putting on Cadys favorite playlist and shrugged of her Jacket, gently putting it over Cadys shoulders.
Cady instantly wrapped it tightly around her, almost burying herself into the fabric as the first notes of 'Oblivion' started playing. Janis was never a real fan of Bastille but she knew that Cady knew every word to every song of them. Maybe the familiarity would calm her down a little.
Still Cady didn't speak another word until Janis parked in her driveway.
"Are your parents home?" She asked quietly.
"No.. Don't worry they're out of state for a couple of days."
Cady nodded and followed Janis into the house.
"You can sit down if you want I'll be right back."
Janis made her way to the kitchen making some tea for the both of them. She was unsure how to go from there though. A purely terrified Cady was sitting on her couch, crying her heart out and she didn't even know the reason for it. The only thing she knew was that Cady was hurting. And Felix was the cause of it. And he will definitely pay for it.

Cady sat down on Janis couch still holding tight onto the jacket. She didn't know why but somehow the familiar scent of Peppermint tea, acrylic paint and lemon always calmed her down a little. She was far away from being relaxed, but it was a start.
Cady felt... Well how did she feel? She couldn't define this dark emotion which was fully consuming her at that specific moment. The events of what happened were replaying over and over again in her head. Why did that just happen? Was it her fault? Was it wrong to let Janis come and get her?
She was lost in her own dark thoughts until she heard the sound of a ceramic mug coming in contact with the hard wood coffee table.
"Your favorite." Janis said quietly, before sitting down beside her holding another mug in both of her hands. She took a sip not taking her eyes of her. Cady knows that she wants to know what happened, she wants to help and probably hold her for the rest of the night. But how could Cady tell her if she was so confused herself?
"Do you want to be alone?"
Cady shook her head. Even though she couldn't talk about it yet, she didn't want to be alone with her thoughts. She was glad when Janis nodded, scooting just a little bit closer to Cady. Close but not too close. Just enough to feel that she wasn't alone. That someone actually was there for her, and cared about her. It was a good feeling. Like a little light shining in an endless field of darkness around her.
That was until she felt Janis putting a strand of hair behind her ear. Her thumb softly stroking over her cheekbone.
At any other time Cady would've smiled while leaning into her touch a little, but today it was different. An unsettling feeling shot through her body, her heart picked up pace and her cheek started burning from just the soft touch of Janis fingertips. Her body was covered in chills and she flinched, backing away from her.
Janis retrieved her hand as quickly as she could putting it back onto her lap, looking at her with serious concern, worry, and confusion in her eyes.
"I'm sorry-" Cady whispered.
It wasn't her fault. Cady loved Janis' hugs when she's sad. She loved being held by her for no matter how long she needed when she cried, even if it's about the stupidest things no one else would care about. She loved it when she softly combed through her hair whispering soothing words to her and her tiny kisses on the top of her head.
But today every touch felt like a rusty old dirty knife being stabbed into her body.
They sat there in a deep silence which was almost frightening. Just the sound of Cadys shaky breath could be heard until she suddenly couldn't hold it in anymore.
"I was sleeping!" She blurted out.
Janis head shot up and she looked into Cadys direction, startled by the sudden outburst. "Huh?"
"I was... I- He-" She let out a sob again, new tears making their way down her cheeks.
"Hey... Easy... take your time. I'm here." Janis said in a soothing voice, trying to calm Cady down a little. "Can I take your hand?" Her hands weren't moving. Still resting in her lap, waiting until Cady gave her consent.
Cady nodded and Janis slowly and gently took her hands into her own, tracing little circles over her knuckles.
Janis hands were soft, and warm, overall everything contradictory to what her punk, tough outer appearance was like.
It felt surprisingly good. The soothing circular patterns were easing her mind just the tiniest bit.
She took a deep breath.
"We watched a movie. And around 3 am I fell asleep because I was so exhausted and when I woke up-"
Silence. Cady squeezed her eyes shut as the memories were flooding back into her mind.
"Cady-" Janis started but she didn't dare to speak out what she was thinking.
"He was lying on top of me... Touching me..." she paused, desperately trying to keep it together. "And I couldn't do anything. It felt like a nightmare at first. I was frozen... and as he was about to..." She paused again trying to even out her breath, focusing on Janis and her interlaced hands. "I ran as soon as my body let me. And well.. you know the rest of the story."
She looked up at Janis.
She had tears in her eyes, her look a mix between worry and anger. A few tears were spilling over as she whispered "I'm so sorry Cady"
Cady didn't know what suddenly drove her to it but she let herself fall into Janis arms burying her face into her shoulder. As soon as she felt Janis arms wrap around her, pulling her into a tight embrace she started sobbing again. Letting out all the fear she felt just an hour ago, letting the confusion, anger, shame and sadness all overcome her.
She trusted Felix with her whole life... and he still hurt her like nobody else ever did. She didn't know what was worse. That or the things he actually has done.
Somewhere in the distance she could hear Janis whispering "It's okay... I'm here... you're save... Oh Caddie it's gonna be okay I promise..." among other sweet nothings, accompanied with gentle little kisses on the top of her head.
The dawn was breaking and the exhaustion took over Cady. She felt her eyes growing more and more heavy and her grip around Janis loosened a little as she slowly felt herself dozing off. She was fighting to stay awake, scared that something would happen but Janis started to softly comb through her hair and whispered,
"Go to sleep Peanut. You're save."
So Cady closed her eyes and let sleep overtake her.
So this is it. This is the most depressing story I'll ever post in my life. I didn't even know if I should post it. But I think we don't speak up about situations like this either. To everyone who experienced this too in any shape or form, I am so incredibly sorry. No one, not even the worst person on this earth deserves this. Doesn't matter what gender or age. Sexual assault is not okay. And it shouldn't happen in the first place. But you're definitely not alone in this.
I know people will hate me for posting this but honestly, I don't give a shit anymore. If you don't like it, don't fucking read it.
