Anne POV

It's been a few days since we brought Teddy home, and it's been nice to have him here at Lovegood Manor. When he saw the place, he opened his mouth in amazement and said a single word. "Big."

"Yeah, buddy." I said to him. "It's really big. When I saw it for the first time, I thought the same."

We already had a small room ready for Teddy ready for him, but since he was an infant, we always checked in on Teddy every hour and someone would usually be with him. Today, I woke up a little later and checked in on Teddy. He already woke up as I walked in and smiled gleefully at me. "Hi, Teddy." I said as I got closer to him.

"An-nie." Teddy cooed as I picked him up.

"Well, my name's Anne, sweetie." I said softly. "But at least you're close. Come on, you must be hungry. I'm sure we have some things that you can eat. Are you hungry?"

"Yeah." Teddy said in a one-word answer.

We went down the stairs and into the kitchen, where breakfast was ready and Mum was cooking and Dad was helping her. Mom's food was pretty good, but from one of the stories she's told about the Horcrux hunt, all she had to cook with was mushrooms and plants. But she's gotten better at cooking with Dad.

I put Teddy in his chair and sat down, talking with Uncle Harry, while Mum and Dad were talking to each other. Since Hermione and Y/N finally knew of the plans, they were talking about the wedding, which would be happening in three weeks. Hermione was getting excited with each coming day, while Y/N just smiled and kissed her. But the two were busy preparing breakfast.

"So, Anne..." Harry said as I stopped playing with Teddy and turned to him. "Your parents told me you invented a potion?"

"Oh, right, I did!" I said to him as Teddy looked at his godfather. "I actually forgot to ask if you wanted to take it!"

Harry's face turned to confusion as his eyes squinted with his glasses sliding down his nose a little. "Pardon, but what would this potion do?" He asked me.

"Well, it's called, 'The Draught of Blessed Skin', my best friend Jason came up with the name." I said as I got Harry's attention. "It got rid of Dad's scar from Umbridge and Mum's scar from Bellatrix."

"Wait, which scar of your Dad's?" Harry asked me. "The one with 'Monster'? Or the one she cut into our skin?"

"Both, actually." I responded, excitedly. "I had to do tons of research in my free time, Wiggenweld and Polyjuice were the inspiration for it. But since you and Aunt Lana have those scars as well, I could brew another one with Grandma's permission."

"Oh, Anne, I appreciate it." Harry said kindly. "But I don't want you to do that if that takes out any time you'd want to do something else, and I'm sure Lana would say the same."

"No, no, I want to do it!" I insisted. "You and Lana are family to me, so I am willingly wanting to make it!"

"Well..." Harry gave in. "Alright, if you want to, Anne, then I'm okay with that."

A couple of minutes later, we were having breakfast while Teddy was having some toast with avocado and some veggies (which he ate without question). I was talking to Lana and Harry about the potion and the precautions, and they had given me their trust and Grandma allowed for me to brew it under her supervision. Mum and Dad had wished me luck and Grandma took me to another room that I didn't know of in the Manor.

Okay, this place has so many rooms.

The room Grandma took me resembled Professor Slughorn's classroom, with everything but a professor's desk. Instead of the many stations around, there was a single station in the center, surrounded by cabinets with various potion ingredients. On one desk, there was a wide assortment of cauldrons.

"Woah, Grandma." I said. "How many rooms does the Manor have?"

"Oh, this old place has so many." Grandma said kindly. "My father, pardon, my biological father, Gellert Grindelwald left it to me when I came of age. Along with a huge inheritance of Galleons. When I came, most of the rooms were bare and empty, so Langden and I made some changes here and there. For example, this was once a bare room. Now it is a Potions room."

"There is so much more." Grandma said as she leaned on the desk. "A conservatory, a workshop, a garage, of course, guest rooms, ballroom, a music room, my private study, the library-- honestly, honey, sometimes even I forget how many rooms there are here."

"Wow..." I gasped.

"Oh! But also..." Grandma smiled as a lightbulb went off in her head. "There are secret hidden spaces to hide things and secret passages around. "

"That's so wicked!" I grinned. "But about this room?"

"Well, Dumbledore helped out when this place was renovated, so this does take inspiration from the Potions classroom Professor Slughorn now occupies." Grandma Addison said as she grabbed some ingredients.

"And speaking of 'Old Sluggy'..." She chuckled a little. "He told me about the potion you've created. And that is such an amazing accomplishment. Not a lot of people your age can achieve that, but that is extraordinary. You definitely deserve this praise, sweetheart."

"Thanks, Grandma." I said with a smile.

"Anything for my granddaughter." She smiled back and brushed my cheek. "Now, shall we get started? I'm quite excited to learn this potion!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So they had to use Polyjuice Potion?" I asked. As Grandma and I were working on the potion, she told me another story about Hermione, Y/N, Lana, Harry and Ron when they were in their second year. She had learned this story from Professor Dumbledore at the time she used to work for the Ministry of Magic.

"Oh, yes!" Grandma Addison said with a cheerful smile. "They were brewing it in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. Myrtle may have been a little... strange to be fair, but she was quite kind. The Grey Lady was always very kind to Langden as well. And stir 4 times... counterclockwise?"

"Yeah, that's about right, Grandma." I said as she placed her finger to read the next instruction.

"And now the Dittany..." Grandma Addison said again as she grabbed it. "This potion, it's truly brilliant! Taking in ingredients that are healing in nature! Oh, but on with the story?"

"Yes, please."
"Alright then, so in Myrtle's bathroom, they had spent their time there to brew the potion." Grandma continued. "But as they got the hairs they needed when they thought your uncle, Draco, was the Heir to Slytherin, Hermione had found out she grabbed cat hair after they consumed the potion."

"So... Mum turned into a cat?" I asked while adding some Wiggenweld bark.

"In a way, yes." Grandma Addison said. "She still maintained human shape, but she adopted cat features. But your father, just like my husband, stayed with her and helped her."

"Then what did Dad do?"

"He gave her the company she needed. I like to think their feelings grew more for each other during that time. But he comforted her, told her he was going to protect her no matter what."

But then Addison sighed as we let the potion simmer and set. "But unfortunately, as you know, Hermione got petrified. And your dad... he... he was so heartbroken when he found her. When I found out with a letter from Professor McGonagall and Lana, I felt bad for him. He clearly cared -- and from what I believed at the time, -- loved her."

"Then what happened?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Y/N and Lana found out they were Grindelwald's grandchildren, and Hermione forgave Y/N when she came back. " Addison said as a small smile came back. She had a pretty smile, my grandmother did. "And in their third year, they got much closer, and over time, they got to where they are now."

"About to be happily married." I said once more.

"Not to mention, having an amazing daughter." Grandma smiled at me and patted my shoulder. "I really cannot wait for the wedding, I'm sure you, Lana and Luna have made it incredible for them."

"Me too." I said. "Also, I have a question for you..."

"What is it, dear?"

"You're Harry's godmother, yes?" I asked. "And Lily Potter and Remus were Dad and Lana's godparents, right?"

"Yes, that is correct." Grandma Addison repeated. "Why do you ask, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Well, I was thinking, since Y/N and Hermione adopted me a year ago..." I shyly looked down. "Is there a possibility that Aunt Lana could also be my... my godmother?"

Addison smiled at me. "Of course, there is. More than a possibility, really. I'm absolutely sure that if you'd ask her, she'd say yes. Every person in this family - Y/N, Hermione, Harry, Lana, Luna, Hermione's parents, Ron, Ginny, Draco, myself -- we all care about you. I'm positive that if you ask Lana, she would be so excited and say 'yes'."

I nodded and soon enough, the potion was ready for Harry and Lana to use. Y/N and Hermione were showing Teddy around at the same time, so they would be out for a while. Lana and Harry were ready and prepared as I poured the potion over the affected area. As the potion poured onto their skin, Lana clenched her fist and I got a little worried, but she looked up and gave me a kind smile. I looked back at the scars, and just like Y/N and Hermione's, they disappeared off their skin letter by letter.

Harry thanked me a lot, and Aunt Lana had given me one of her tight hugs along with kissing my head.

"You are so brilliant, Anne, I tell you." She said to me. "Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Hey, whatever happened to that moronic arsehole, what was his name....Yarrow?"

"Language, Lana." Grandma said to her.

"Mum, you know that's true." Lana said. "That idiot had no right, absolutely none, to call her that word. If I ever come to visit Hogwarts and he does something again, I'm going to-"

"Lana, I understand," Grandma stopped her and put her hand on her shoulder. "Augustus Yarrow has his Hogsmeade privileges revoked and detention, but now as a new term will begin, he mustn't make the same mistake again. Or he will be suspended, or perhaps expelled."

"He better not do that again." Lana said as her arms protectively covered me, surprising me a little. "Anyone hurts my niece, and they're going to regret it."

Grandma nodded, looked down at me, and smiled again as she mentally told me in my head.

'She's perfect to be your godmother.'

Hermione POV

While Anne was talking with Lana and Addison, Y/N and I decided we were going to teach Teddy some colors in a fun way. I had some colors on a sheet and hopefully, Teddy's hair color would change to the color we were holding.

"Alright, Teddy." Y/N said as I carried Teddy in my arms. "You know our names, yeah?"

"Un-cle Y/N." Teddy said, looking at him.

"That's right, buddy!" Y/N said softly again and I giggled a little. "And this beautiful woman who I will call my wife soon is your Auntie Hermione."

"Y/N, I don't know if Teddy could say my whole name." I said to him. "Maybe something smaller, like...Auntie 'Mione?"

"My-nee." Teddy said again with a babyish giggle.

"Seems like he likes that." Y/N said and kissed my cheek. "It's cute... just like you, Mione."

I smiled at him and placed a kiss on his lips while still holding Teddy. "You like that name, Teddy?" I asked softly.

"Yeah, Auntie My-nee." Teddy answered.

"Aw, why are you so adorable?" I said as Teddy giggled again and I put him in a chair. "He's such a sweetheart..."

"Okay, Teddy..." Y/N said as he took a green paper and showed it to him. "This is the color green. Can you say 'green'?"

And just as Y/N said that, Teddy's hair turned the exact color of green as he saw. "Gr-een." Teddy said perfectly.

"Good job, Teddy!" I said to congratulate him. "Next color, Love?" I asked again as Y/N changed the color to red. Teddy caught on and his hair turned bright red. At one point, Teddy changed his hair color to match Y/N's, which made Y/N chuckle and tickle Teddy.

"Well, you've definitely inherited your mother's silliness." Y/N said to him, with a smile on his face. "Please don't change that, okay, buddy?"

And at another point, his hair went a wild orange, resembling a familiar family of gingers. Now I think Ginny would find him adorable.

After a couple of hours, Teddy seemed to remember all the colors we taught him, but now turned his hair to the color of Y/N's hair.

"Well, it looks like I'm someone's favorite uncle, huh?" Y/N said to Teddy, who giggled again. I just smiled at the two of them and hugged Y/N from the side of his body. He looked at me and kissed my forehead and whispered in my ear, "I love you, Hermione."

"I love you too." I responded and kissed him again, which made Teddy laugh and say both our names. I booped Teddy on the nose and he had giggled again, bringing a smile on our faces.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Can you believe we're finally getting married in a few short weeks?" Y/N asked me a few hours later. Teddy was a little tired so we let him take a nap and now, we were cuddling in our room together. Anne was busy reading, Lana and Harry were talking and Addison was working in her study.

"I can, cause I can't wait!" I said as I was laying down on him. "It's our special day, and on that day, I'll become your wife."

"I can't wait either, Love." He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. "I love you, Hermione Granger. I love you with all my heart and I always will. Forever and ever."

"I love you too, Y/N Lovegood. Nothing will ever change my love for you." I said before connecting the gap between our lips for a few short moments.

"What should we do after our wedding?" Y/N asked me. "We never really got to think about that, did we?"

"Huh, I haven't thought of that either." I said, as I looked at him. "What should we do?"

"Shouldn't we have a honeymoon?" He asked. "Just the two of us, wherever we want."

"I mean, we could..." I said as I snuggled into him. "But what about Anne? And Lana and Harry, and Addison?"

"Oh, that's true." Y/N said. "I would have really loved to be somewhere with you. Preferably France."

My head perked up and I met his gaze. "France? How come?"

"Yeah, France." Y/N said and brushed my cheek. "You said it wasn't called the city of love for nothing, babe. And besides, I'd love to see it with the woman I love."

"Oh, I hope I'm not interrupting anything?" Anne's voice said from near the door as she peered from the door.

"Oh no, Anne, you can come in." I said as we sat up and Anne walked, and got on the bed to face us. "We were actually just talking about something and-"

"About your honeymoon." She finished. "I know, married couples usually have their honeymoons, so I thought you'd want to go on yours."

"Well, we do, pup." Y/N said. "But we don't know how you'd be when we're gone on our honeymoon."

"Dad, it's okay." Anne said and put her hand on his. "I'm about to be 15 soon, so I'll be okay. And besides, Uncle Harry and Aunt Lana will be here with me, right?"

"Yeah, they would be there." I said to her kindly.

"Besides, I'd want you to enjoy yourselves." Anne said calmly. "You've already fought in a war, you've finished at Hogwarts and you're about to get married! Just enjoy yourselves for me. Please?" She didn't have to turn into a wolf to show some puppy-dog eyes, which were so adorable.

"Oh, okay." Y/N said with a smile. "Damn, you're gonna be 15 before your mum and I get married! You've grown so much since the time we first met you in your first year. You've come a long way."

"Thanks, Dad." Anne smiled and looked down nervously.

"Now that I think of it..." I said. "It's been a full year since we've adopted you!"

"Yeah, it has, hasn't it?" Anne smiled. "I'm happy that you both are my parents."

"Us too, honey." I said and kissed her head. "We love you so much."

"We definitely have to celebrate your birthday before our wedding." Y/N said as Anne hugged him. I love the bond between them, Y/N is always so supportive of Anne and he's so caring and protective of her. And Anne cares for him too, and she made that clear multiple times, like coming with me when McLaggen hurt him, when he helped retrieve my parent's memories and of course, with Fenwick Hawthorne's Death Eaters. They truly have a father-daughter dynamic with each other.

And the same could be for me and Anne as well. Anne's always made sure I was okay, or how I was feeling, and now she comes to me about talking about things she wants to talk about. She's just as comfortable with me as Y/N is to her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A couple days later, Lana, Luna, Ginny and Anne took me to get my wedding gown and their dresses for the wedding, while Y/N went with Harry, Ron, Draco, Neville and the twins to get their suits. Lana had brought Teddy with us and just as Ginny and Luna saw him, they found him so adorable. Teddy was giggling so much from the attention he was getting.

"Aww, he's so cute!" Ginny said with a smile just as she saw Teddy turn his hair color to hers. "Hi, Teddy!"

"Hi." Teddy repeated as Anne was carrying him. Luna leaned in and booped his nose as he giggled a bit more.

Lana had informed me that Anne was the ring bearer and Gabrielle Delacour was the flower girl, with permission from Fleur and her parents, so we took some time to look for her dress first. We looked through some until Anne found one that she liked a lot. It was a teal sleeveless gown that she took a liking to.

"I think this is the one?" Anne asked shyly.

Lana and I were amazed. Anne looked so pretty in it. She was half-smiling and half-nervous of what we might think of it.

"Anne, I'm gonna have to be genuinely honest." Lana said as she placed her hand on her chin. "You look absolutely..." She paused for dramatic effect before speaking again. "Stunning!"

Anne blushed a little at us. "You really think so?" She asked.

"Absolutely!" Lana exclaimed. "You look amazing! I'd bet when the wedding comes around, you would be even prettier."

"Thank you, Aunt Lana," Anne blushed again. "But I'm sure Mum would be prettier."

"Aw, thank you, honey." I said to her and hugged her. "But I'm sure you'd be just as pretty." Anne returned it and while the other girls were looking for their bridesmaids dresses with Lana, Anne came with me to look for a wedding dress as she still carried Teddy.

"Pre-tee!" Teddy cooed as he saw the dress in her hands.
"Aw, thank you, Teddy!" Anne said softly to him. "But I think Mum's dress would be prettier than mine."

"And speaking of which..." I said as my eyes trailed to a dress that caught my eye. "I think I found one that might be just perfect." I picked the dress and showed it to Anne, whose eyes widened just by looking at it.

"Should I get Aunt Lana?" She asked eagerly as she looked at the dress.

"Yeah, I think you should." I said. "I think I'll try this one..."

Lana POV

Luna, Ginny and I were looking for some bridesmaid dresses while Hermione was looking for her wedding dress. We all decided the color would be dark blue, and we had found some great dresses.

While Ginny and Luna were away for a moment, I had decided to look for a birthday present for Anne. Her birthday was coming before the wedding, and we were going to celebrate it as well. I was looking around for something that she would love, until I found a black and red ring.

It was a nice shade in red, and it looked beautiful. And it wasn't so expensive, so Y/N and Hermione wouldn't be upset if I spent too much. But then again, Anne's my niece and I care for her just as much as her parents.

I would do anything to protect her.

I bought the ring and quickly admired it in my hand. It looked just as amazing...

"Hey, Aunt Lana!" Anne said from behind me, nearly scaring me. "Anne!" I said with surprise in my voice, as I hid the ring and it's case in my pocket. "Hey... Oh, dear, you nearly scared me!"

"Oh, sorry about that," Anne chuckled a little. "It's just Mum found a wedding gown and she thought you should see it. But what was that you were looking at?"

"Oh, that?" I asked, as my voice got higher and nearly broke. "That's... that- that's a surprise! You'll just have to wait and see, okay, honey?"

"Aw, okay..." Anne sighed. I kinda felt bad, but it was a surprise for her birthday. "But I understand."

"The dress, though?" I asked. "Oh, yes!" Anne's eyes lit up. "Come on, I have to show you quickly, cause I told Teddy I'll be back as quickly as I can." She took my hand and walked me back to where they found the dress, and Teddy was sitting patiently for Anne. Anne took him and carried him as he giggled.

"He must like you a lot." I said as I brushed Teddy's hair.

"Well, by logic, he is my cousin, isn't he?" Anne asked with a smile. "Since his mum is yours and Dad's cousin? He's like my little brother. Aren't you, Teddy?" She said softly as Teddy spoke, "Yeah."

"Anne? Is that you outside?" Hermione asked. "Is Lana with you?"

"Yes, she is, Mum!" Anne said with a smile. "We're ready!" She turned to me and smiled. "We both like it, I think Dad would be amazed at how beautiful Mum would look."

"Okay, but turn around." Hermione's voice said to us. "I want to see your reactions." We both listened and turned around. The door slowly opened and we heard it close and Hermione's footsteps followed after and came to a stop. "Okay... you can turn around now."

We did as we were told, and we saw Hermione in the dress.

And she looked stunningly beautiful.

"Whoa, 'Mione..." I gasped as Hermione nervously smiled. "How do I look?" Hermione shyly asked us. She looked amazing, the dress fitted her perfectly. Y/N was so lucky.

"You look incredible, Mum!" Anne exclaimed as Teddy continued with, "Aunt-ie My-nee is pre-tee..."

"You look absolutely gorgeous, Hermione." I said. "When my brother sees you walk down the aisle, he is going to be amazed."

Hermione smiled and blushed as she looked down. "I suppose it is a nice dress, isn't it?"

"Hell yes, and you look beautiful!" Anne said. Hermione smiled at her as she went on. "I'd reckon Dad would look really handsome."

I snickered as Hermione smirked. "If I'm being honest," She said. "Your dad looks handsome in anything he wears. I've always found him hot in overcoats."

"Y/N does love overcoats." I teased.

"I loved wearing his jackets and coats..." Hermione said, looking up dreamily. "They were so comfy and warm, and smelled amazing. He made it so much better when he'd hug me from behind and kiss me."

"Well, you'd get to do that more at home, right?" Anne asked. "Being married and all?"

"I suppose so, yeah." Hermione said as she eyed Teddy, who had now fallen asleep. "Aww, Teddy's so cute when he's asleep."

"Should we get back home?" I asked them. "We should get Teddy back to bed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We got back home after buying our dresses and Anne made sure to put Teddy in his bed. Hermione and I hid our dresses in a secret pocket in the Manor since it was supposedly "bad luck for the groom to see the bride in her wedding dress".

As Anne put Teddy to bed, she covered the sleeping toddler with his blanket and kissed his forehead. "Sleep well, Teddy." She whispered softly. "Anne's looking out for you, buddy."

"You're so sweet around him, Anne." Hermione said sweetly to her. "I like that you're so kind around him, honey."

"Thanks, Mum." Anne smiled. "He may not have his mother and father, but he can have us, yes?"

"Of course." Hermione smiled. "And your dad is his favorite uncle."

Anne decided to go ahead and read for a while, which gave me some time to talk to Hermione about her birthday. We had moved our conversation to the Living Room, and the boys were still out for their suits, so enough time.

"I got her some books I'm sure she'll love." Hermione said. "I also got her a wand holster, if ever she needs her wand quickly on her." She also pulled out a leather pouch from her pocket, showing it to me. "And I got her this, a sleeve for her Dumbledore's Army Coin."

"Oh, that's nice." I said. "I hope she likes what I got her... I got it at the same place where we got the dresses." Hermione's eyes squinted as she looked at me. "What is it then?" She asked as I took out the case from my pocket.

"I got her this." I said as I handed the case to her. She opened it and saw the ring. She looked at it and then back at me. "How much was it?" She asked.

"It wasn't much." I replied. "I got her this because the red represents her house, Gryffindor and her birthstone, ruby."

"Well, that's quite nice," Hermione said. I nodded a little, but she knew something else was on my mind. And she wasn't a Legilimens to know that. "Something's on your mind, isn't there?" She asked. I was a little nervous to tell, but she was my best friend, and soon enough, my sister-in-law.

"Well-... yes." I confessed. "It's just... I know we've all gotten closer to Anne ever since you and Y/N adopted her, but I can't help but feel she's... well... she feels like my daughter too. I'm not that sure if that makes sense..."

Hermione's eyes softened as she put her hand on my knee.. "That makes absolute sense, Lana." She said just as softly. "You and her have such a good bond, like how Y/N and I have with her. After us, you're the next most important person in her life. She trusts you and loves you just as much as us."

I smiled at Hermione, who smiled right back at me. "And you're my best friend." She continued. "You have been for so many years, and soon enough, we'll be sisters. It would be reasonable you feel so protective over her. Aunts are like that with their nieces, they're like their mother and best friend rolled into one."

"Yeah, you're right, 'Mione." I said with a tear coming out of my eye. "I just want her to know she's safe with me, she can talk to me and I will always be there for her, like you and Y/N are." I looked back at the ring, admiring the red and black on it. "I want her to know her aunt will always support her."

Hermione smiled once more. "And that is completely understandable." She said again. "But now that I think of it, I want to ask something."

"Go ahead." I said.

"Remus was yours and Y/N's godfather, yes?"

"Yes, he was."

"And Lily Potter, she was your godmother?"

"Yes... where are you getting with this, 'Mione?"

"What were the similarities between both instances?"

"Remus was one of Dad's best friends." I said. "And Aunt Lily was Mum's best friend. What are you getting at?"

"Well, I did say we are best friends, didn't I?" Hermione smirked. "And it just occurs to me that Anne doesn't have a godparent..."

Then it clicks in my head. All the gears stopped for one moment as I looked at Hermione, who smiled as she knew what I was thinking.

"You-- you want me to be... her godmother?" I stuttered.

"Yes." Hermione said. "I can't think of any other person to be her godmother. And I'm sure Y/N would agree with me."

I couldn't believe it. I was going to be my niece's godmother!

"You're sure?" I asked. "Me? As Anne's godmother?"

"Of course." Hermione said. "You're the right, no --perfect-- person to ask and you'd-"

"Yes."

Hermione looked at me as tears of joy fled from my eyes and I smiled. "Yes, I'll be her godmother." I hugged her as she returned it and rubbed my back. "I love you." I muttered into her shoulder. "You're an amazing best friend. And an incredible sister."

"Aw, I love you too, sis." Hermione whispered. "You'll be an amazing godmother." I wiped away my tears and smiled as Hermione, who rubbed my shoulder.

"I'll tell Y/N the good news when he gets back." Hermione said. "I wonder what he's doing now..."

Y/N POV

As Hermione, Lana, Anne and the girls were looking for their dresses, we were looking for our suits for the wedding. Ron found a pretty decent one and the Weasley twins were nice enough to get it for him with their earnings from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes.

"Yeah, we wouldn't want you to wear those dreadful robes from the Yule Ball." Fred teased him.

"Would be a right laugh if you did though," George laughed. "But Mum would be barking mad."

While the three male Weasleys were bickering about, Draco was helping me with the suits as he was the most knowledgeable with dress sense. He said we needed to find the right suit. Harry just watched him work around.

Draco had pulled together a variation of clothes and such, like Blazers, vests, shirts, trousers, fancy shoes... and my worst enemy...

TIES.

THE GODDAMN TIES.

"Aw, god," I groaned as I held up a tie. "Not these fucking things?

"I don't like them either, mate." Draco said as he stared at one. "But supposedly, they're part of wedding attire."

"Fucking hell..." I muttered.

"Oh, this is going to be hilarious." Harry grinned with a laugh.

"Oh, just you wait till your wedding, Potter," I said. " Just you wait..."

I tried multiple combinations of clothes, for what seemed like hours, but I didn't mind, I was trying some style to my own wedding.

I tried what I hoped would be the right and final suit, and showed it to Draco, who grinned and nodded. "That's the bloody ticket." He said. I was wearing a blue suit with a white flower on my left side of the blazer, along with a grey vest partnered with a baby blue tie, blue trousers and some dress shoes.

"Looking quite dapper, Y/N." Harry quipped.

"Not going to lie, I do look good." I said as I looked at myself in the mirror. "My hair would need a little work, but yeah." I looked at what I thought was the worse part of my suit. "I still fucking hate ties."

Harry and Draco had found their suits and Harry and I returned to the manor. As I put my suit away in a secret pocket in the library, I felt a pair of arms wrap around my body and a certain someone pressing her head on my back.

"Hey, 'Mione." I said as I felt her head shift to my shoulder.

"Hi." Hermione whispered softly. "I missed you."

"I was only out for a while, Love." I said as I rose her hand to my lips and kissed it. "I missed you too, darling."

"You got your suit for the wedding?" She asked as she released me.

"Indeed I do." I said, but before she could ask, I placed a finger on her lips. "Ah, Ah, but I don't think you can see it just yet. I can't see my wife in her wedding gown before the actual wedding, right?"

Hermione frowned and pouted adorably. "Well, I supposed that's right." She said. "But I reckon you're going to be so dashing and handsome at our wedding."

"Oh, I'd bet you'll be very, very beautiful." I teased as we shared a passionate kiss.

"Oh, that's right, I forgot to tell you!" Hermione said. "It occurred to me that Anne doesn't have a godparent."

"Oh, yes." I said. "We didn't think of one since we were busy with Hogwarts." I noticed Hermione smile to herself as her brown eyes looked into mine. "You've asked someone, haven't you?" I asked.

"Yep!" Hermione said happily. "And Lana was very happy to accept."

My eyebrows rose up as I smiled. I swear, Hermione's like a Legilimens to me, she always knows what I'm thinking. Lana's the perfect person to be Anne's godmother.

"Does Anne know?" I asked. "Lana's her godmother?"

"Not yet." She answered. "And Addison secretly told me that Anne wanted to ask Lana, so when Anne does ask her, she would have a lovely surprise."

"She really cares for her a lot, doesn't she?" I asked. "Lana's her aunt and now her godmother."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soon enough, July 6th, 1999 arrived, and Anne's 15th birthday as well. As the day began, I waited outside Anne's door, waiting for her to wake up. And after not too long, she did. I knocked three times on the door and her voice came from the other side. "Come in!"

I walked into her room, which was quite comfy for her. There were two bookshelves we got for her, which held all her books from Hogwarts, a desk where she would write letters and the like, a nice bed with a red comforter, pillows and bed sheet, and along with anything she would have needed. Her Firebolt was near her dresser, standing upright.

Anne had just woken up, so she was still in bed. "Morning, Dad." She said with a yawn and stretched her arms. "Morning, pup." I said with a smile and sat near the corner of her bed. "Happy Birthday."

Anne's smile grew and she hugged me while still in the bed. "Thank, Dad." She said in my chest. "You remembered!"

"Course I'll remember my daughter's birthday." I said as I hugged back. "I remember everyone's birthday here. Your Grandma's birthday is February 14th, same as Valentine's Day, Hermione's September 19th, Harry's July 31st, Ron's is March 30th, Lana and I have the same birthday, September 9th, and of course, yours is today. July 6th."

"You must have a good memory." Anne remarked. "Grandma was born on Valentines Day?"

"And I'm gonna need it!" I joked. "Gonna need that for the wedding anniversary. No classic cliche,'Oh-no-I-forgot-my-own-wedding-anniversary'." She giggled a little when I said that. "Oh, yes, she was. Every year when we were at Hogwarts, we would send her some presents."

"But regardless, I'm so proud and so happy to be your dad." I said as I rubbed her shoulder. "You're truly incredible, Anne. Never forget that. Your mum and I love you so much." Anne hugged me a little tighter as I chuckled to myself and kissed her forehead.

"I love you both too." Anne said in my chest. "You and Mum are the best."

"Aw, thank you, pup." I smiled. "Come on, we should get downstairs, we're celebrating your special day!"

I waited for Anne to get dressed and we both walked down the stairs. As we reached the bottom, Anne was surprised by Hermione with a massive, tightening hug. "Happy birthday, honey!" Hermione said to her.

"Thanks, mum." Anne said through her tight hug. "But could you let me go? It's a little tight-"

"Oh, yes, sorry about that." Hermione chuckled nervously and let her go. "I just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday. I'm so proud of you." She cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead.

"Oh, yes! Presents!" Hermione said. "I think you'd want to see what your dad and I got for you." She took us around to the living room, where a wrapped present was waiting for her. Hermione picked up the stack and gave it to her. ""I really hope you like it." Hermione said as Anne carefully unwrapped the package, revealing some books and Anne's smile widened.

"Whoa, how'd you know I wanted these books?" Anne asked. "These were exactly the ones I wanted to read!"

Hermione chuckled. "A mother always knows." She said as she pecked her temple. "And the Misfits told me some recommendations of books you may like."

"Oh, and I got you something for your wand and your D.A. coin!" Hermione added as she retrieved a wand holster and a leather sleeve, fitting the coin perfectly. "The holster is just if you need your wand as quick as you can." Hermione explained to her. "You can put it by your arm, your leg, or your hip."

"That will come in handy for the DA this year!" Anne remarked. "Thanks, mum."

"Oh, I need to grab what I got for you." I said as I exited the room and grabbed what I got Anne. I walked back and sat down next to Anne. "Alright, I'm just gonna ask that you close your eyes, okay?" Anne nodded and closed her eyes as I opened the box, revealing an elegant watch that I had made and charmed for her in the workshop of the Manor.

Hermione smiled at me as I smiled back and connected the watch's bands around her wrist. "Okay, you can open your eyes now, pup." As Anne opened her eyes, she found the watch on her wrist and awed at it. "Woah, this watch is so nice."

"Well, it is one of a kind." I said. "I made it just for you, and it's been charmed too." Anne's eyes widened as she heard the last sentence. "Charmed?" She asked curiously. "How do you mean?" I smiled as her eyes widened. "Well, I'm glad you asked." I smirked as I pulled out the compass Hermione had given to me for my 19th birthday. "Oh, do me a favor and tap the top of the watch? Three times should do the trick."

Anne remained curious while Hermione giggled. Anne tapped the top of the watch three times and found that the minute and hour hand glowed as the compass needle then pointed to the watch. "You see, I charmed these objects so that if you ever need me, all you've got to tap the watch, and I'll know. Whether it's just to talk, or an emergency, that would be all you have to do."

"And not only that..." I said as Hermione pulled her half of the heart necklace we shared. "The watch is not only connected to my compass, but it's also connected to the halves of our necklaces."

"So I would know too." Hermione added.

"Thank you both so much." Anne smiled and hugged us. "I really appreciate the gifts and the thoughts you put into them."

"Of course, we would." Hermione said softly as she held her in arms. "We care about you so much, and it's your special day. We are so lucky to have you in our family."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the day went on, Anne was enjoying her day. She had received many well wishes and blessings for today. Mum had gotten her a jacket with an wolf and an eagle on the back, Harry had gotten her a journal, Ron had sent her a pair of charmed sunglasses, Neville sent some plants that he'd thought she'd like, (Surprisingly, she did like them.), Luna got her own pair of Spectrospecs, Draco and Ginny both got her Quidditch equipment, and the twins gave her an offer to get anything she wanted for free from WWW.

Anne was so thankful for her gifts and gave her thanks to the people that came and had sent thank you notes to those who sent them in. And all that was left was Lana to give hers. Hermione and I excused ourselves as Lana went to talk to Anne.

"I really hope she likes it." Lana said.

"Of course, she would like it, sis!" I told her. "You're her aunt, and I'm sure she'd love it."

"Alright... here goes." Lana muttered and went to Anne.

"Hey, Anne." Lana said with a smile as she sat down. "Happy birthday." She gave her the box that contained the ring Hermione told me about. Anne smiled as she was given the box, but she looked at Lana before opening it. Lana gave her another warm smile and whispered, "Open it."

Anne looked back at the box and carefully opened it to find the ring. She pulled it out of the box and admired it. "Whoa... this is so pretty..." Anne said. "But I'm not sure if I can take this, Aunt Lana."

"It's your 15th birthday, Anne." Lana said. "It's perfectly okay to accept it. Please? For me?"

Anne took a while to think, but then formed a small smile on her face. "Okay. I suppose that's alright." She slid the ring on her ring finger on her right hand and hugged Lana. "Thank you so much, Aunt Lana. I love it so much."

Lana smiled. "I knew you would." She said softly. "I just wanted you to know... that as your aunt, I'm always here for you. I'm always in the same corner as your parents since I care about you as much as they do. I want you to always remember that."

Lana almost started to tear up, and honestly, we did too. What Lana was saying was absolutely heartfelt and full of love. That was truly how much she cared for our daughter.

Hermione was right.

My sister, Lana Lovegood, is more than perfect to be Anne's godmother.

Hermione noticed my tears and she took her thumb to wipe my tears off my face. "You okay?" I smiled at her and looked back at the two.

"And I'm just as proud of you." Lana continued. "I'm so happy and so lucky to be your aunt."

"Yeah... yeah, I'm okay, Love." I said to her and wiped her tears too. "It's just Lana, she truly loves her as much as we do."

And now, Anne was hugging Lana tighter and was nearly crying as well. And then, Anne said...

"I love you, Aunt Lana."

Lana smiled to herself. "I love you too, mon ange. I love you so much." Anne smiled too as she looked back at Lana. Then her eyebrows scrunched up for a moment. "What does mon ange mean?"

"Oh, that?" Lana chuckled. "It's-- It's french... it means, 'my angel'. I can use something else if you want-"

"No. I like that." Anne said happily. "I love it really. It's nice."

"Then I'll keep using it then." Lana said with a confident smile.

"Well, that was incredibly heartfelt." I said as Hermione and I walked out of the corner. Their heads both turned to us and they are a little shocked.

"You were listening?!" They both said at the same time.

"Yes...?" I answered. "But really, sis, that brought us to tears."

"Well, I care very much for my niece." Lana said profoundly. "And besides, your wedding in three days is going to be much more heartfelt than this, I reckon." Anne nodded her head as well and the two bumped their fists together.
