Lilia's POV
"I'll do the birdie goal." Jay says, pretending to use a badminton. "I'll use the water gun!" Sunoo says while others still decide. "Sunghoon you should do the turning one, you have good balance." Niki says and we all nod. "I'll kick that thing ten times then." Niki adds before Jungwon decides to balance the tissue box. "I'll flip the bottle!" Heeseung says leaving the coin flip and the handstand challenge.
"Who'll spin 10 times and do a handstand for 30 seconds?" Jungwon asks and I look at Jake. "I'll do it then." I smile and I see him visibly relax.
"Okay let's go!"
Minutes later and I still stood there, haven't even tried my challenge yet. We already lost an ingredient and now we were on the next round. "Let's switch a bit." Sunghoon suggests and I chuckle. "Do you want me to do yours?" I ask and he nods.
"You can handstand right?" I ask him and he nods. We start again, changing some spots and I do sunghoons spins, standing up like normal and stacking the cups.
"That really looks like it didn't affect her at all.." Sunoo says while I stack the cups. He finally gets the cups with the water gun and the coin and bottle flip work. But once we get to sunghoon, he spins fine, but when he did his handstand, he stood there for 5 seconds before falling.
"30 seconds? That's too long!" Jay complains and I shake my head slightly, going back to my old place. "Wait can we just trial who can do it before we lose our third vegetable?" Heeseung asks and they give us time.
One by one we all try and turn around before doing a handstand, Sunghoon, Jungwon and Niki standing for the longest. "Maybe Niki..?" Jay says and Jungwon frowns. "We haven't tried Lilia yet." He says and they look back at me.
I move back a bit before turning around 10 times, standing up straight for a couple seconds before doing a handstand. Instead of keeping my legs straight, I bend them a bit, as if I was in a type of lunging position but upside down.
My shirt starts to fall and I lift up one arm, tucking my shirt in my black skinny jeans before putting it back down.
"It's already been 50 seconds.." Niki says and I stand back up. "Yeah she should stick to her position." They start to laugh and I just sneakily tuck most of my shirt in my pants for the next round.
We try once again, but as I wait, my stomach starts to feel weird and slightly hurt, but I ignore it. We finally get to my part and I turn around 10 times, going on the handstand as soon as I can.
"1, 2, 3," they start counting and I bend my legs again like before, but I get off balance for a second and my legs go into a split. "WOAH WTSFSV." That's all I hear from Jake as my hands move around a bit before I bend my legs again.
"19, 20, 21," my stomach feels weird, and for some reason I go a bit off course. My elbows give up and I fall on them, I hear shouts and footsteps suddenly come towards me, but they stop once they see me doing a handstand, on my elbows..?
"Sorry!" I shout before keeping the same position until 30 seconds are over.
I then run to the middle with everyone, and we all do a pose together before it gets confirmed it's all good.
I fall to my knees and look up at them. "Please say that counts." I beg while looking up at them.
"Well.. you all counted wrong after they were shocked from your tricks, so really you went to your elbows at 35 seconds so I guess.." the director says surprised and I look at the guys.
"Really?" I ask in disbelief and they all shrug. "Anyways we got food." They smile and I chuckle.
We went to help set up the food on the table to eat, but while we do that my stomach just starts to feel worse and worse. I then suddenly feel something and my eyes widen. I quickly leave the group and go to one of the female staff. "Unnie, wheres the bathroom?" I ask and she points in the direction. "Thank you." I bow before quickly walking to one of the tents.
After finishing I sigh, nearly screaming in annoyance. "Yeah because this fucking period has to come now." I mumble under my breath before leaving. I go back to the same female staff and smile. "Uhm, are there any pads or tampons by any chance? I didn't bring any.." I whisper and she widens her eyes.
"Let me check if anyone has some." She smiles before going around the female staff. I see her sigh at one point before going to the director. He looks a bit mad but the staff smiles and bows.
"If you want just hang in there, I'll go get some for you."
"Wait really? Thank you so much." I tell her and she smiles, giving me a side hug. "We ladies have to stick together, it's not like a man knows what we go through." She says and I chuckle with a nod.
I awkwardly walk as I help them set up the food, and by the time she comes back I quickly put a pad on and hide the packet in my jacket that's now off my shoulders and in my arms before going to my bag and putting it in.
As I go back to thank the staff, I hear the director talking to her.
"I know you can't control it but c'mon, we're already short staffed and you had to go to the store for your period? You should know better and have brought some, I'm not paying you to go shopping."
I frown and walk up to them.
"I'm sorry director but they were for me. Even if they weren't I don't think you should yell at her for being a lady. Again I'm sorry but you have no clue how it's like to have a period. Even right now my pain level is a 7 out of 10 and I'm here looking perfectly fine because I've had to endure it for years even when I'm only 16. So I'm sorry, but if you want to yell at someone for being a female yell at me, not a woman who's getting yelled by her boss for helping a young teenager on her period."
Both the director and the staff who helped me, which I think her name is Ara, looked at me shocked. Even the staff around us who heard had wide eyes. "I'm ready, you can shout at me for being a female sir." I look down but nothing happens.
"Uh.. sorry.. you can go back to your tent. You can have a nap if you want to, we'll wake you back up after food or when it's ready." He slight fake chuckles awkwardly and bows a bit. I smile at the staff and hug her. "Thank you." I smile before walking back to the tent.
My heart beats faster as I walk into the tent behind the boys who were setting up the food. I go in and lay straight on the bed. "Oh my god Lilia, do you want to be fired? What is wrong with you." I pinch the bridge of my nose but shake my head.
"No, Ara shouldn't have to be yelled at because of you, so you did good." I whisper before closing my eyes. "Lilia?" I sit up straight and see Niki and Jungwon. They start to put stuff in the microwave before looking at me.
"Are you.. okay?" Niki asks and I nod. "Yeah I'm just tired, I'll skip on the food." I say and they frown. "Are you sure? We literally made you spin and do handstands for us to have food and not you." Jungwon says and I chuckle. "I'm fine really." I smile before laying down.
"Are you on your..."
I sit back up and raise a brow at Niki. "I'm sorry, I heard the conversation you had with the director. Jungwon did too."
"We all did." Heeseung comes in and I lay back downs and groan. "Do you think I'll get fired for that?"
"Fired to telling the director off when he was being mean, no I don't think so. He deserved it." Jungwon whispers and I chuckle. "Yeah we're starting to make the food, just keep laying down and we'll tell you when it's ready." Heeseung says before leaving again. Soon Jungwon and Niki leave too to eat and help when I hear the speak.
"I'll eat later, I still need to cook this."
That makes me get up, walking out of the tent. "Oh I was just about to let you know it was ready." Jake says and I smile. I walk over to Heeseung and Jay and take their tongs away. "Go eat I'll cook."
"But you're not-."
"I'm fine, I'm just not hungry so go eat." I cut Heeseung off and start to cook the meat. They stand there for a bit before finally leaving to go eat.
"Do you want some?" Sunoo comes up with some noodles and I shake my head. "I've lost all my appetite." I tell him and he gives me a sad look before sitting back down.
I feel a sharp pain in my stomach but I stand there, ignoring it as I continue to cook. Once I'm done cutting the pieces up and cooking it, I put it all on a plate and put it on the table for them to share.
"You can sit here." Jungwon moves over for me to sit next to him and I take the seat.
I really should start taking my medication again.. but Taehyung wouldn't let me.
"What medication..?" Jungwon whispers and I widen my eyes. "You said that out loud, and why wouldn't he let you?" He asks and I look at the other members too busy beating to notice.
"Nothing.. nothing don't worry." I smile before taking some chopsticks and taking a bit of meat.
I see them smile when they watch me eat, and even if I didn't want to, acting like I was fine Is better for everyone.
