Astrid's pov
"What song do you wanna sing." I asked.
"Ummm, why don't you go first?" Hiccup shuttered.
"Oh ok then." I said, feeling something wasn't right about him. I then thought of an idea to let Hiccup spill his tea about what he was hiding about. I lied and said," I'm going to my room to get something, feel free to choose a song to sing to." However in actually fact, I hid behind a wall and wanted to see Hiccup's true colors.
Hiccup's pov
When Astrid said that she was going to her room to get something, I was excited as no one would hear me sing since I have never sang in a while. I decided to sing my favorite song by One Direction, what makes you beautiful, a song I have always wanted to sing to Astrid since the lyrics kind off fit the personality she has. I picked up a microphone and started singing,
What makes you beautiful- One Direction
"You're insecure, don't know what for
You're turning heads when you walk through the do-o-or
Don't need make-up to cover up
Being the way that you are is enou-ou-ough
Everyone else in the room can see it
Everyone else, but you, ooh
Baby, you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
But when you smile at the ground, it ain't hard to tell
You don't know, oh-oh
You don't know you're beautiful
If only you saw what I can see
You'll understand why I want you so desperately
Right now I'm lookin' at you, and I can't believe
You don't know, oh-oh
You don't know you're beautiful, oh-oh
That's what makes you beautiful
So c-come on, you got it wrong
To prove I'm right, I put it in a song
I don't know why you're being shy
And turn away when I look into your eye-eye-eyes
Everyone else in the room can see it
Everyone else, but you, ooh
Baby, you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
But when you smile at the ground, it ain't hard to tell
You don't know, oh-oh
You don't know you're beautiful
If only you saw what I can see
You'll understand why I want you so desperately
Right now I'm lookin' at you, and I can't believe
You don't know, oh-oh
You don't know you're beautiful, oh-oh
That's what makes you beautiful
Na-na-na, na-na-na, na, na, na
Na-na-na, na-na-na
Na-na-na, na-na-na, na, na, na
Na-na-na, na-na-na
Baby, you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
But when you smile at the ground, it ain't hard to tell
(You don't know, oh-oh)
You don't know you're beautiful
Baby, you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
But when you smile at the ground, it ain't hard to tell
You don't know, oh-oh
You don't know you're beautiful
If only you saw what I can see
You'll understand why I want you so desperately
Right now I'm lookin' at you, and I can't believe
You don't know, oh-oh
You don't know you're beautiful, oh-oh
You don't know you're beautiful, oh-oh
That's what makes you beautiful."
Astrid's pov
I could hear Hiccup singing from the living room and I was shocked at how good of a singer he was. I then decided to sneak up on him as I sat on the sofa admiring his voice.
"I liked your singing." I commented which make Hiccup tense up.
"Oh, y-you were l-listening." Hiccup shuttered.
"So cute, of course I was." I said. "Want to hear me sing too?" I asked as Hiccup nodded. I grabbed the microphone from his hand, changed the song and started to sing,
All about that bass- Meghan Trainor
"Because you know I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass (bass, bass, bass, bass)
Yeah it's pretty clear, I ain't no size two
But I can shake it, shake it like I'm supposed to do
'Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase
All the right junk in all the right places
I see them magazines (ah-ha) workin' that photoshop (ah-ha)
We know that shit ain't real
Come on now, make it stop
If you got beauty beauty (ah-ha) just raise 'em up
'Cause every inch of you is perfect
From the bottom to the top
Yeah, my momma she told me don't worry about your size (shoo-wop, wop)
(Sha-ooh-wop, wop)
She says, boys like a little more booty to hold at night
(That booty-booty, uh, that booty-booty)
And no I won't be no stick-figure, silicone Barbie doll (shoo-wop, wop)
(Sha-ooh-wop, wop)
So, if that's what's you're into
Then go ahead and move along
Because you know I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, hey
I'm bringing booty back
Go ahead and tell them skinny bitches that
No, I'm just playing I know y'all think you're fat
But I'm here to tell you
Every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top
Yeah, my momma she told me don't worry about your size (shoo-wop, wop)
(Sha-ooh-wop, wop)
She says, boys like a little more booty to hold at night
(That booty-booty, uh, that booty-booty)
And no I won't be no stick-figure, silicone Barbie doll (shoo-wop, wop)
(Sha-ooh-wop, wop)
So, if that's what's you're into
Then go ahead and move along
Because you know I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble (ooh)
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble (yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass (hey, yeah)
Because you know I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
(Said) I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
(Uh) I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
(I said) I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass
Because you know I'm all about that bass (ooh)
'Bout that bass, no treble
(Said) I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble (I'm all 'about that bass)
I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass
I'm all 'bout that bass
'Bout that bass
Hey
Hey
Hey, hey
Ooh
You know you love this bass
Ah ah ah ah yeah
Haha."
Hiccup and I sang and danced until midnight and in the end, I was fast asleep on Hiccup's shoulder as he continued to sing softly to me.
