Chapter 25

                "Of course I can." I said and smiled.

"Good. This is my number. Call me if you need to ask about something." may nilagay siyang calling card sa lamesa. "I need to go now. I have to do something important." paalam niya at tumayo.

"Me too." ani ko at tumayo na rin. Tumango lang siya at aalis na sana nang tinawag ko siya.

"Coal?"

Lumingon siya. "What?"

"Uh..." It was nice seeing you again. "Nevermind."

He raised his brow before going out of the cafe. When I saw him drive away, I held my chest. I was so nervous! He looked so intimidating. His aura changed. Is...it because of his mother's death? Or because of...me?

Mababaliw na ako kakaisip sa kanya. Then I remembered his request. Parola Lavigan.. He said that his mother saw my Instagram post and our pictures.. But her mom already died, right? So was this his mother's last wish? Then he went home just for this? Just like me? Or am I just assuming?

"Be professional, Cass. Mag-ex kayo. Ex lang. 8 years na. 8 freaking years.." I mumbled while getting my keys.

I drove back to the art gallery to get my things. I went to my home studio to paint more paintings. I didn't build a big art studio, mas gusto ko iyong simple kaya sa bahay ko nalang. Nandoon lahat ng materials ko. Besides, the view there is freaking awesome. And it's so cozy. Kaya ayun, marami na akong ideas na pumapasok sa isip ko. But now, I couldn't even think of one painting! My mind is too occupied with Coal. Masyado akong affected. Shit.

"Juda. Icancel mo muna lahat ng gagawin ko ngayong araw. I'm going somewhere." I called Juda.

["Okay po, madam. Take care."]

"Thanks. You too." I ended the call.

I drove all the way to San Isidro to visit Tito Andres and Lola Paning. Tinawagan ko na rin sila Andrei para ipaalam na uuwi ako. We usually meet up to hang out dahil mga twice or thrice in a month lang ako umuuwi. They're busy too! Successful na yung mga business nila kaya super busy na nila. But they always make time for our meetups. Minsan sila yung pumupunta sa Davao City para bisitahin kami nila Lucas and Celia. Gabi na ako nakarating sa San Isidro. I was so sleepy kaya dumiretso na ako sa bahay. Nagmano muna ako kay Lola at Tito Andres. Kumain kami ng dinner tapos pumasok na ako sa kwarto ko.
