"Oh?" Gaster raised a brow as he read a few papers that Gabriel written. "Yez frem wha' they have told uz... zomthin iz a lil off. It iz nothin bad but a lil confuzin." Gothic explained as he held a few of the noted he made in front of him with his magic.
"D𐍂𐌴𐌰𐌼 spoke 'bout thiz magic tree he an hiz brother guarded their whole livez... 'z quite odd." He sighed slightly not liking the idea of children protecting something with so much power. They are only kids after all.
"Not only that. Those monsters. Humans. Whoever lived in the village they." Gabriel growled in anger. "They were using Dream to get what they wanted and tried to get ride of Nightmare! Those villagers treated Nightmare like a soulless being or, or a murderer that deserved death and that just." He lowly hissed, ears going back, and his tail going up, fur spiking out, out of his anger.
He flexed his paws and allowed his claws to unsheathe. Using all his will power to not accidentally sink his claws into his own head in his rage.
"I just want to find those monsters and teach them a lesson in hurting a child as much as they have! A whole village. A whole fucking village! Hurting a child and beating them into submission!" Gabriel hissed in rage.
"G𐌰𐌱𐍂𐌹𐌴𐌻 take a deep breath!" Gothic yelled as he looked up at Gabriel in surprise. It was rare for any of them to see Gabriel this angry. Especially to get him so angry to the point of swearing.
So it would surprise them whenever they saw him this angry. Though the others haven't read about what Nightmare told him and won't know till they have a their own turns to read the files.
Gaster blinked at Gabriel's reaction. He read through the papers that the feline had written. He staid silent for a few moments before turning the paper around and placing it in the file sideways.
"... I can why your so mad Gabriel... they seemed to have not only neglected Nightmare but also abused him... though I have also noticed this in the other notes you all made." He thought and placed a hand on his chin.
He used his magic hands to hold the notes from both of the files. Muhammad tilted his head a little and raised a brow. "What else have you noticed?"
"Gothic tell me. Have you ever heard of this magic tree that they have both talked about?" Gaster raised a brow as he looked at the sketch of the tree that Nightmare had made.
"Nope. Never heard of thiz tree tha' they talked 'bout. Would've known too. A tale like tha' would be one fer th' agez ta zpread!" Gothic chuckled a little at the idea of the tree that would give emotions to others.
"Hmm? What'z runnin through tha' zmart noggin uf urz G𐌰𐍃𐍄𐌴𐍂?" He raised a brow and looked up at the other skeleton.
"Well... tell me what was the radiocarbon dating of the stone that they were frozen in? It is how many years old?" Gaster raised a brow as he looked at his team.
"Oh right! Here it is." Muhammad smiled happily as he laid the paper on the table. He bent his neck so he could better read the data.
"Since radiocarbon dating only goes back by 100-30,00 years the results show that the rock they they've been sealed in is only... 400 years old? Which is odd the rock is no where near as old as old we thought it was." He blinked and stared at the paper in surprise.
"Wait they've been turned to stone for only 400 years? How can that be possible?" Gabriel frowned worriedly. "Did the machine read it wrong?" He tilted his head one of his ears twitching. Most of his rage being forgotten.
It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for something to simply be miss calculated. It's one of the reasons they did things like their math, papers, and other things three times while massive projects like machines be tested on multiple occasions.
"What no. The scans can't be wrong. I redid the scans four times to make sure." Muhammad frowned as he looked back at the papers again. Looking at the lines and numbers that were on the sheets.
"Well there is another explanation." Gaster said catching everyone's attention. "From what I have been able to gather... those two seemed to have helped prove a theory that we have been trying to prove for years now." He looked at the three and placed the papers away.
"G𐌰𐍃𐍄𐌴𐍂 ya not zay tha'... N𐌹𐌲𐌷𐍄𐌼𐌰𐍂𐌴 an D𐍂𐌴𐌰𐌼 r frum an Alternate Univerze!?" Gothic blinked and looked up at Gaster in shock. His sockets opening as wide as they could.
"If they are from an alternate universe then what in the whole universe, brought them to our world?" Gabriel questioned as he looked at Muhammad and Gothic before looking back at Gaster. His ears going back and flattening on his head.
"I do not know what could have brought them to our world... or if they even are from an alternate universe. But with everything we have managed to learn and gather... it is the only explanation that we will be able to come up with that would explain everything that does not add up." Gaster thought as he fixed the papers in the filed and made sure that everything was neat and organized.
"Should we tell Asgore that theory as well?" Muhammad questioned as he handed the radiocarbon results over to the head scientists. Gaster took the paper and placed it in with all the other papers.
"No. I don not think we should tell Asgore about that. Let us keep it between us. At least until we can prove that they are from an alternate universe. For now. We should prepare to have them meet King Asgore this Sunday." Gaster gave a gentle smile.
The others nodded in agreement. Since they had to get some papers in order to make official documents for Asgore so he could approve them and make the two legal citizens of the Underground.
They also needed go figure out answers to any questions that they would be asked with the sudden appearance of two more skeletons. But they should have something figure out by then. For now they should get those papers wrapped up and finished.

Fun fact Radiocarbon dating other wise known as carbon-14. It's interesting as well as all the different ways people use to date the age of different rocks.
