Nightmare looked away. A few tears in his sockets. "What! No we won't! Why would we hate you for guarding some negative energy?" Gabriel scoffed at the idea.

Though he also understood as to why Nightmare would think that. Especially if he's been bullied into thinking he isn't cared about. "Yes you will." Nightmare quietly muttered as he buried his face onto his knees.

Gabriel sighed a little and thought. He wanted Nightmare to know that they won't treat him any differently. "You know... I understand how you feel. When I was a kid I was bullied for years myself."

Nightmare blinked and looked up at Gabriel in surprise. "Really?"

Gabriel nodded a little. "Really. You see growing up I was kinda different compared to everyone else. Aside from my looks, I refused to fight anyone, and I was a giant nerd. I didn't want to hurt anyone back then. Still don't to this day, but that doesn't mean I won't defend myself. They would throw things at me and tell me to go and kill myself. Yes, it hurt a lot.... but I persevered. Got my dream job as a royal scientist and well... here we are."

"...How... when... d-did the pain ever go away?" Nightmare questioned as he looked up at Gabriel and frowned a little.

"Well... yes... no... kind of. Did the pain go away? Sorta. Sometimes I can't help but look back on my school days and believe that what those monster told me were true. But that's normally on my bad days. Now I've got a team to help keep me on my feet when I feel like that... and now you have me. You have my team. If you want I can be your friend and help you stay on your feet.

Gabriel suggested and gave a gentle smile. "I... I umm... I k-kinda like that idea..." Nightmare smiled a little and played with his sleeve. Gabriel nodded as he leaned back in his seat. He then used his tail to hold his clipboard and wrote a little.

"Why don't you tell me as much as your able to. You can tell me more in the future if you want. Just tell me what you can about your village, this tree your mothers soul was in, you, your brother, whatever you feel comfortable talking about." Gabriel explained with a soft hum.

Nightmare slowly nodded and gave a small smile. "O-O-Okay... I-I can do that." He thought and tried his best to explain as much as he could to Gabriel.

Gabriel nodded and wrote a few things down as Nightmare talked. He didn't push for any information when Nightmare got uncomfortable, and simply told him to tell him when he's comfortable.

Gaster thought as he rubbed his sockets. He managed to get Sans to go home after the two of them talked. He was glad that he woke up since he was able to put Nightmare and Dream to bed. Happily reading them a bedtime story before leaving them for the night.

"They are such sweet children." He smiled softly as he sat at the table with everyone else. Muhammad nodded in agreement and smiled a little. "They are. Such caring and sweet kids." He hummed a little.

"We managed to learn a lot about them sir. Dream and Nightmare told us a good bit about where they use to live." Muhammad smiled as he placed the file he was holding down and slide it across the table.

Gaster nodded as he opened the file and read some of the notes that were written down. "As well as some questioning things but they were quite interesting to hear." Gabriel pointed out as he gave Gaster his file.
