"Well Sans went home and is probably sleeping, Gaster is still asleep, you haven't meet Hazel yet but you will later, Cypress had to head home, and Alphys is only an assistant so she wouldn't be here at this hour. So, your brother is at the moment talking to Muhammad and Gothic. Don't worry they're in the room just across the hallway from us." Gabriel explained as he moved a few papers and picked up a pencil.
Nightmare thought as he looked at some of the things on the desk. There were papers, a jar of pencils and pens. Some folders, a few books stacked up in a corner, a calendar, one of those computer things, and a picture.
He blinked as he picked the picture up and stared at it. "Wow! Who painted this? They made such small details... on such small paper too. They must be a master of the craft!" Nightmare smiled happily.
"Oh that's not a painting. We mostly stopped using paintings for family portraits over... five thousand years ago. Though some families do painted portrait for fun." Gabriel explained with a small chuckle.
"What? If that's the case then... what do you use now? If it's not any type of paint then what?" Nightmare furrowed his brows (bone brows) in confusion as he looked at the picture.
In the picture Gabriel was standing there with a few other monsters. In his left paw was Gothic, there were also two other feline monsters, and a single person in a cloak standing with the group. It was hard to read the cloaked monsters expression.
"You see we use these devices called cameras. Though we can go over it more in detail later. You see one reason as to why we need to have this little talk is to, not only figure out how much you and your brother need to learn. Which most likely is a lot but so we also know more and understand you two better." Gabriel gave the young skeleton a soft smile.
He rested his arms on the desk and leaned forward slightly. Nightmare thought about it for a moment as he placed the framed picture back on the desk. He slowly nodded since that did make sense.
They would need to better understand the living situation that he and Dream had before they found them. "Okay... um... How do we start?" He frowned slightly in his confusion.
"Let's start off simple. Your brother is wearing a crown. Do you also have one? Are you two a part of a long lost royal blood line?" Gabriel tilted his head at the questions. He then started to spin the pencil he was holding between his fingers as he waited for an answer.
"Um a royal blood line? Um... not really..? well if we are I didn't really know. Dream wouldn't know either... our mother wasn't royal... then again we never really did get to know our mother." Nightmare gave a small shrug as he thought about it.
"This person from the village made the crowns for us. But well um... I think I lost mine... forever... because they broke my skull and it flew off somewhere. That crown was the only present I was ever given." He sighed as he leaned back in his seat thinking about it. 'Dream always shared his presents with me.' Nightmare thought to himself.
"Okay so the crowns were a present to the two of you... could you draw me a picture? I wanna see what it looked like." Gabriel gave a kind smile as he handed Nightmare a pencil and a sheet of paper.
Nightmare smiled a little as he took the two items and drew a image if his old missing crown. "It looked like this." He smiled a little more as he showed the older monster his drawing.
