Evaya POV
The sun starts to come out. I gingerly cup my hands together and catch it. I twirl it around and push it outward, creating a touch of day in this spot in the woods. Will and Nico wake up. "You took watch all night?!" Will exclaims. I shrug, "it was no big deal," nico frowned, " Why don't you guys ever have me keep watch?" I answer since Will doesn't understand the effect of the power of the sun. "Because, you magic tires you, mine keeps me awake," he huffed, "Fair enough," then, we heard howling. "What? There aren't any wolves like that in Waukesha! " I said. Nico's eyes widened, "That's because those howls are the ones of the werewolves, and they can only be hurt with Silver or fire," I pursed my lips together, "Does sunlight work?" I asked. Nico shrugged. I remember I was wearing a belt of daggers, one dagger, celestial bronze, one dagger imperial gold, and one, silver dagger. I tossed the silver one to Nico. He caught it. The first wolves broke threw and I started talking in the sun language, "OHH SHA NAS DE POL APOLLO, ES CU HED BAS MUN LO PAS BEE NA SHA LA!" I raised my hand and the temperature rose, 20 sun warriors came. I spoke again, " ASH KA SOON LA. WEREWOLVES, ES CO NE LA SHA JAS WO JE LA PA!" They attacked, the wolves surprised. My sun warriors burned them, the power of the sun, was equal to fire. Some got threw the defense line, Nico hacked away with my silver dagger, I fired my arrows at them, the arrows had been dipped in sunlight. There was so many, my arrows reappeared in my quiver, I couldn't call down anymore warriors, it would burn the place. So I took Will and Nico's hand and flew in the air, until we got to the next woodsy area. I set them down, and checked myself over for scratches while Will and Nico did the same. There was a cut on my arm and one on my leg, I put a little water on them and ran my thumb along it too. It healed. Will had a few cuts too, and Nico had one along his arm. Not bad.
"How did you do that?" Will asked me.
"The sun warriors?" I asked.
"No, how did you know the language?"
"Oh, it just comes to me, maybe it's a sunlight conductor thing,"
"Oh,"
It was getting dark so Nico was getting ready for his shadow jump, when dark fell he sprang into the shadow and I grabbed Will's hand, we flew fast, but not too fast, or Will would burn. We landed in Minnesota. Ugh home to the Vikings. (A/N sorry if your a Vikings fan) we were about to sleep. I took watch.
Will POV
I asked Nico to come with me to the little stream, we were hidden so she couldn't see us. Nico looked at me with his beautiful eyes, and kissed me, slowly, we broke away for air. Back together we were, I whispered, "I love you Nico Di Angelo" he smiled. "I thought, you did. I'm glad you do, because I thought at camp, and then this quest and I thought now was the perfect time," he said. I smiled. That's when I heard a torched girls scream fill the air, so innocent, yet so full of pain. We sprinted to her. Evaya was fighting this black misted, monster thing. Nico sucked in a breath. "The servant of the Python, Apollos enemy," he said. It clicked into place, the Python wouldn't like it if Apollo had a powerful demigod who could control the sunlight. There was a force that burned if we tried to go by her. She was shooting sunlight and arrows, attacking with daggers, it wasn't enough. Blood poured from her stomach. The Monster hit her and a loud crack filled the air. She coughed up blood, she slowly got up, and stabbed the thing again and again, it slashed her face, her arms, her legs, anywhere. With a final scream of effort, her bow changed to a sword, and she dug into its heart, with a blast of sunlight. We ran to her, the monster disintegrated as it died. She was covered in blood, taking painful, shallow breaths. "Go to camp, it's over, you two conquered your great fear, I was the child of Apollos final stand, which will lead me to the death land. The gods wanted me dead," she whispered. Nico and I lifted her, she didn't way much, and shadow traveled to camp half blood. We got there, and some campers came. She took a final breath unclamped her necklace, and said, "Give this to Connor, tell him my heart was with him," she handed me it and I took it. She breathed once more and died. The sunlight that had once danced in her eyes, was gone. My sister, was dead.
