Evaya POV
Connor didn't put me down until we were in the juniper part of the woods. We saw a sayter talking to a nymph. She giggled, "Grover, your so funny!" Grover smiled, "Only to you Juniper," he said. We went to a different part of the woods. "You know your clothes are ripped right?" Connor asks me. "No, I just somehow stayed perfect while fighting," I rolled my eyes. He frowned,
"So...." He started.
"So.... " I mimicked. My hair was falling out of its side braid. While he was thinking I redid it.
"Mark.. He- he didn't deserve to die," Connor started.
Mark. I blinked holding back tears.
"I can't heal Python poison, it not something I can heal," I explained again.
"You don't even seem to care!"
"I do, its just- from all the stories I've heard around the camp... It's just not best to meddle with fate,"
He looked at me confused. "But isn't that what you do? You meddle with fate," he asked. I looked down.
"That's different," I mumble "I'm not suppose to exist, in fact, no one thought this would ever happen,"
"What do you mean, stop talking in riddles Evaya! " Connor said, frustration laced in his voice.
"Alright fine, I kinda saw Mark dying in a vision. I just thought... Maybe it wasn't right. Maybe I could heal what had happened," I said miserably. It was all my fault.
"Why didn't you tell him, or anyone? We could've stopped it!" Connor exclaimed.
"You don't get it," I growled, "I can't prevent what happens! It'll will throw fate off balance and the result would not be good. Someone else could've died, more people could've been hurt. I'm not allowed to really tell this stuff, I'm sorry," I was pretty much shouting at the end. Connor looked stunned.
"What?" I asked him.
Connor looked at me, then walked off. Great. Now he thinks I'm some sort of monster. I'll give him some space. With that, I sprinted and took off into the sky and landed. Someone tapped me on the shoulder, I screamed not expecting that and turned around to my brother Will. "Oops sorry?" I smiled apologetically. Will rolled his eyes.
"How's Nico?" I asked.
"Good, I missed him," Will said shyly. Will was not one to go shouting about his relationship.
"You mean you missed his lips!" I said jokingly. Will glared,
"Shut up!" He said.
"Mmmk I know it's true though," I teased. Will sighed dramatically and walked away towards the Apollo Cabin. Seeing as it was late, I made my way there too.

When sleep came, I had awful dreams. All reminding me about Mark's death. Maybe Connor was right, I should've said something. No, no I can't, I'll get in trouble for revealing things like that. Someone's death should not be prevented if the fates wove it that way. The dreams also reminded me of Connor's look of shook when he realized I knew. I woke up feeling sad, and now plagued by another What if.
