Will POV:
I woke up with the sun as always. I noticed my sister was gone. Then the sunrise grew brighter and I realized she was making the sun come up faster. I'm guessing dad asked her to do that. She came back in about a minute later. "New job," she said laughing. "Evaya I want to ask you something," I said.
"Shoot,"
"Will you be head counselor?"
"Uhhhhhhh,"
"C'mon you'll be good at it, and I never wanted the job anyway,"
"Fine. But you're second in command then,"
"Deal,"
We shook hands and I notified Chiron. I told him she was on a quest and I stepped down willingly. I suddenly noticed Kaylee, Carter, and Austin were there. "What are you guys doing?" I asked. "We gave her our positions, head of archers, music, and poetry, we are her second in commands," Kaylee answered. "Woah," I said. "Yeah, we figured she would make is second in command and since she is the best at everything Apollo," Carter said. "She'll be fine," Austin assured. This was a lot for my little sister to take. "And she's going to be head of healers," I added, stepping down from my positions. They nodded and Chiron asked us if we were sure. We nodded and it was official. Walking out of the big house, they went to there shifts, while I went to find a certain son of Hades. After finding Nico, who was talking to Jason, I pulled him away and told him everything. "Woah, that's--- a lot for a 13 year old to take on," he said. "I know but she can handle it, she likes being in charge, she used to come home made because her group members weren't working together or at all. She would do all the work and then they all got the same grade, but she likes leading. Trust me," I assured him. We then heard girl scream "STOLLS!" Connor and Travis came sprinting out and almost knocked us over, with a very angry winged girl chasing after them, covered in mud. Wait..... That was my sister. She wiped mud out of her eyes, lunged, using her wings for strength and tackled Connor. Keeping one foot on his chest, she knocked an arrow and shoot it at Travis who pulled it out and collapsed. "Knock out arrows, gotta love them," she smiled. Connor grabbed her foot trying to bring her down, she stumbled a bit, but her shoe came off. Connor grinned holding it up. "I win," he says. "Not yet," Evaya said knocking another knock out arrow, she shot it at him, and he collapsed. Pulling it out, (and getting her shoe back on) she smiled. "Victory," she said, "is sweet," she looked at up, "oh sorry, was I disturbing something?" She raised her eyebrows. Heat creeped into my cheeks. "Hmm, should I leave them hear to deal with the dizziness of waking up, or do I be nice and take them to the infirmary?" She thought aloud. "What do ya think?" She asked us. "Take them to the infirmary," I said. She sighed and looked to Nico, "what about you? Thoughts?" He thought it over and said, "be nice to them today, next time leave them," She smiled, "perfect, uh, Will, can you help me carry them?" She asked. "Yeah sure," I said. We carried them to the infirmary. "Thanks I owe ya, you can go back to Nico now, I got it," I smiled and went outside, finding Nico sitting outside his cabin. "What's up?" I asked, sitting down next to him. "Can I be honest?" He asks. Uh oh. This isn't good... "Erm, uh, sure, what is it?" He looked me in the eye with his black, dark blue eyes and said, "Your sister scares me to death which isn't easy to do," I was so relived I almost laughed. "She scares lots of people, but she's really nice, and she's always been there when I needed her.... even when I wasn't there for her for .....five years, " I said trailing off. "Hey, it's okay. At least yours is alive," Nico said, although he as trying to be gentle. The last part sounded bitter. Then again, Nico did have it worse than me. "I want to show you something," I said, motioning him to come with me. He reluctantly followed me to the Apollo cabin. "Wait here," I instructed. Walking in, nobody was there, I pulled out the small box that was under my bed, opening it I found the picture, the only thing that linked me to my sister and mother. It was taken a month before I left. Putting the box back under my bed I came outside. "This is, a picture of the month before I ran," I explained to him. He gingerly took the photo to see for himself, the picture of 8 year old Evaya and 11 year old me. He looked at the blonde, green eyed woman. "You mom?" He asked. "Yeah," I said. Evaya was smiling and I was next to her, our mom was behind us, some stranger probably took the picture. He looked at the picture some more and gave it back. "Thanks for showing that to me," he said. "I used to take it out every night for three weeks after I ran. I missed my sister more than my mom, she wasn't mean, but I just felt like I didn't belong there. I still don't think she fully forgives me, but if it was flipped, I'd be the same way," I explained, "I wanted to let you know more about my past, and why my sister might be a little mean towards me or you, honest, she's nice and can take a joke.... well, her past isn't mine to tell. Thanks for listening," he smiled. "Anytime Solace," and he kissed me, broke the kiss and walked off leaving me dumbfounded. I mean, we've kissed before, but I usually kiss him. Nico di Angelo. That boy was something.
